Cajun boiled shrimp with corn and potato
Lisa G.

Just so happens that I was on my brothers side of town today running errands when he called and asked to meet up and what I was craving. I mentioned I had been wanting some ceviche so he thought of this place and we gave it a go. Place is very nicely decorated inside. Had some good Spanish music playing. It was so good my brother was wanting to dance in the middle of the restaurant but no thank you! Lots of tvs everywhere for sports watchers. We were started off with chips, salsa and some kind of consomé ( broth) both salsas were very good, nice kick. However we did not care for the consomé much. Tasted like caldo de charales (sardine broth/soup) so we pushed that to the side and finished enjoying the chips and salsa. I didn't catch our waitresses name but she was very nice and attentive. She gave my brother some very good food and drink recommendations. He ordered the Acapulco plate. Which I believe had fish, shrimp, chicken and beef on a small skillet. He said it was very good. I had the shrimp ceviche aguachile tostada. That definitely hit the spot. Honestly, I should've ordered me another one but instead I ordered the 1/2 lb Cajun season boiled shrimp. It was something about the flavor that just didn't agree with my pallet. The shrimp were huge so I ate about 3-4 took and took the rest home which my husband later ate and said they were pretty good. Again the flavor just didn't agree with my pallet. So who knows, you may enjoy them. Would absolutely recommend to give this a try! Ah and don't forget to grab your free ice cream cone on your way out!

Visited for the first time and definitely will be back for more. Ordered a bunch of seafood - raw oysters, baby octopus, tropical ceviche. Everything turned out great.

So I never do this but first the food was good... So me and my wife order Fajitas for 1 which was a good size Is portion and for Appetizer We got the Cheese queso With fajita meat inside And water and one coke .... did I have some for coke I did I am not going to lie... but I also drank all my water ... the service was slow.. so we got refill not once not twice but 3 refill of coke and two refill on water.... this was the first I ever heard they charge us for a 2nd drink.. when I ask the waitress said you only get 1 refill.. ok cool guess I won't be going back ... it's the little things that matter lololol... I never heard of this... am I wrong for being petty and never going back over a extra 3.00 dollars... Lo I

The food was good. In town for a business function and we had a party of 12. The seafood was good and service was excellent. The ceviche appetizer was great! 4 stars because it was HOT in the restaurant.

Green aguachile was delish!

I have been waiting for this place to open and they did not disappoint. Service was fantastic! Food was delicious. The music was enjoyable, they even came and asked if we had any requests. I will definitely be a regular. Only downfall was they had alligator on the menu but it was not yet available. I will be patiently waiting for as there are more plates I must try.

Some of my north side friends claimed this is a great spot on their side of town, so we gathered…read morethe squad and came here during peak crawfish season. It's located in a shopping strip with plenty of parking. It has a hole in the wall vibe to it with a spacious interior and a tiny patio out front. Customer service was just ok. We were able to order, eat and leave in a reasonable time. I ordered the Combo #2. This came with 2 lbs crawfish, 1 lb shrimp, 2 potatoes, 2 corns, and sausage. I got it in the extra spicy, garlic butter flavor. I love that it came in individual tin pans. It was sauced evenly and it was easy to dip the foods into the sauce instead of moving everything around in a bag or metal bowl to get some sauce. The crawfish was a good size and hit the spot. The shrimp was a little hard to peel. I've been spoiled by the places that make them easy peel. Because of my slow peeling skills, I got full fast and this platter was a lot of food for me to finish. Luckily my expert friends were able to help me polish it out. Overall, this was a very solid spot on the north side. Because of the distance, I wouldn't drive out of the way for it but would most definitely come back if in the area.

The crawfish were perfectly tender and not overcooked at all. The staff was welcoming, and seeing several tables filled at 2 p.m. on a Saturday was definitely a great sign.

We were in the mood for seafood & in the area so decided to stop in. my partner & i never go out,…read morebc our baby is 7 weeks old. so night outs are important to us these days! the atmosphere was great & we ordered an appetizer which came out & was delicious. when it was time to order our food, my boyfriend ordered the seaholic fried rice & i order the grilled catfish . the waiter wrote it down & left & brought only my food out. 20 min goes by & still no fried rice. we ask if it's coming & the waiter said "she didn't hear him order it" & they were making it now. i get it if u can't hear cause it was loud with ppl drinking, but did it not occur to her that he was not eating then? he definitely told her his order cause if he didn't, he would've just not said anything, or told her exactly "i'm not eating," right?! & she never confirmed he wasn't eating so i guess only wrote down my order? if you only didn't hear him, why not double check or ask him to repeat himself? So I asked to speak to a manager bc by the time the rice came out, i was already done & our baby was getting fussy. I did not want to sit an extra 15 min while he ate because we had to get the baby to sleep soon. She got the manager & we asked for a discount on the rice bc we did not get to enjoy it together. That the only reason we go out in the first place anymore; to eat together! Date nights are non existent with a baby!! He said ok & then came back & only $1.39 was discounted... one dollar!! When the rice was almost $14. I did not want to argue, nor stay out any longer, so we paid & left. Anyways, I thought that was ridiculous so I had to write this review. We would've appreciated atleast 50% off on the rice. Again, your waiter did not confirm that he was / was not eating, did she zone out when he was ordering then? I'm confused. Plus, that was $50 basically down the drain in our eyes as new parents, which sucks. We are people who usually tip well & very kind to staff, as I was in the service industry for years, but i felt that was unacceptable as the manger. The food isn't bad, but the staff sucks. So do not recommend this place!

They have seafood sacks options so you can get crawfish, shrimp, and crab legs. The hush puppies were very good too and only $1.50 (not on the menu) will definitely be back. Full bar so if you don't see what you want on the menu just ask. The ambiance was so cute and seafood/modern.
