Greeted by a friendly hostess and our waitress Jennifer was outstanding, observant, responsive, friendly and gracious. Food came out in a speedy time and was perfectly made. She brought extra bowls of chips and PoP refills without us even asking. Portion siZes were reasonable. $43 for a family of 5 with a beer. Excellent Mexican Restaurant, ambient and cozy little place, ambient, a bit on the pricey side but perfect for a family get together. As a vegetarian, I love their El Burro Verde, a delicious blend of spinach, stuffed in cheesy burritos, with rice, salad and beans. My wife and I recently moved back to Michigan from Southern CA and we were looking for a good Mexican style restaurant. This is not it. I realize we were very spoiled for years living in the southwest. I ordered the beef enchiladas and they were way to salty. Made with ground beef. El Nibble Nook it isn't fancy but generally good except for the water. Like Montezuma's revenge, don't drink the water, but the gold margarita's are good but how can you go wrong with gold? It's a decent restaurant with a little above average prices, but everyone is friendly and the service is good. I think the food is authentic as it can get in Oakland County, if you don't like it you probably like T*CO *ELL, which isn't bad either. If food is authentic and your not used to authentic then you probably will not like it. It isn't shrink wrapped with a colorful package. The wet burrito is what I found to be my favorite. I recommend it unless you'd like to drive downtown Motown for authentic south of the border. LOL! read more

I have been going to this location for over 20 years. I love the consistency in their food and service. I know that I will enjoy the food as much as the service and look forward to each and every visit. The La Feista combo with beef is delicious and the chips and salsa are very fresh. Hands down one of the best margaritas in town. Be careful though because wow are they strong! I hadn't been there in a while but bought a living social and gave it a shot. I consider myself a food snob but did not have any of the negatives mentioned by others. I'm not a fan of well water either, but I promise you'd never know it in the margarita. They do have one bland salsa, but that was the mild one. Looking for more flavor then I would say ask for the spicy, but like the margarita be careful because it too packs a punch. We ordered carry out tonight and it was great. My hubby orders the white pollo blanco burrito and I ordered the veg combination based on a different review. It was great and hit the spot! The veg plate was so huge I could barely finish 1/3 of it! My daughter (3) even ate the chips and salsa and we were worried it was too spiced for her but she loved it! Today, I had an awesome lunch at El Nibble Nook which is one of my favorite restaurants. The chicken tacos with the handmade crispy shells were very tasty! Even better was the amount of food I got. I ordered from the lunch menu and due to the low price, I thought I would just be getting the two tacos. I didn't realize that rice and refried beans were included! Both were seasoned perfectly and really hit the spot on a cold day. My family and I used to eat at the Livonia El Nibble Nook and we always had a great experience. We haven't gone in awhile because my husband and I have moved out of the area. But back a few years ago, we would bring in a group of 12 or more people and the wait-staff always took good care of us. We decided to give it another chance after an underwhelming first visit. It will be our last. The enchiladas had virtually no sauce. If it were not for a slight discoloration under the cheese, I would think that the cook forgot it. As a result, they were terribly dry. The beans were this cold dry lump on the plate. They looked and tasted like canned beans that have been left in the pan for a couple hours. I'm giving two stars because both times the service was good. read more

This is the most horrible mexican food i have ever had. I was extremely let down by the poor quality of food. While leaving we saw the pantry and noticed everything was in a can!! The only reason I came here was because it's right near my house. Got there at about 2:00 on a Saturday afternoon. The hostess was at the bar talking to someone and didn't see me standing there for several minutes. Very unprofessional in my opinion. There were only three other people in there and I get seated way in the back corner. I ordered the tacos which came out pretty fast. They kind of looked like the tacos I make at home. The shell was very small and tasted stale. And the meat had the weirdest taste to it. I don't know what kind of seasoning they use but it was not very good. read more

First though! How disappointing! Authentic is false advertising unless they sell authentic Mexican in a can. Tried five different items and the guac. The only thing that was half way decent was the cheese enchiladas but how hard is it to mess up cheese on a tortilla. Beans were out if a can with no cheese in them. I've ate here several times and i'm not going to say that its excelent Mexican food, but its good enough. Ive never had a stomach ache, nor have i ever had cold food. The hostess informed us it would be a 10 min wait. No where to sit in the lobby and No vibration devices. ??? No good! We were finally led to our table, passing multiple empties. ???? Another 5 min wait until our server acknowledged us and took our order. She arrives no intro just " what are having". We requested drinks and water, which should have been there when the chips n salsa arrived. The food did arrive n a timely manner and it was good food. The server asked if we wanted more chips and salsa, reached over my wife's plate (nooooooo!). My wife and I might try them on another day, that's our policy. However, it won't matter for others. Hands down the worst Mexican food I've ever had. I ordered tamales....they came out and the cornmeal was grey and mushy, with a very scant amount of meat. The rice tastes like microwaved leftovers. For the first time in years I actually sent a dish back to the kitchen. Waitress offered a replacement but at this point my appetite was gone. My son ordered a burrito and about 1/3 of the way through it started crying at the table saying he felt like he was going to get sick. I can't be sure but judging by the way my tamales looked I can imagine he felt that way because his food was bad too! Started off rough, with the hostesses then quickly went downhill. Rude waitress to a bug frozen in the ice cube of my mother's margarita. Followed by pieces of onion floating in my ice water. first time in my 35 years ive ever sent back a dish. my son ordered a mexican pizza and i ordered tacos. his had brown, mushy avacado on top and under a rock hard cold pizza crust. i bit into my taco and greese squirted out. i paid for our cokes and left. never again!! read more
