This is a great new addition to Highland!! Great staff, great food, and I wish them the best long term. My wife and I have eaten here once dine in and once carryout and both times exceeded expectations. I should not be writing this review while awaiting dinner - I'm craving it just thinking about it!

Amazing food from my A2 favorite Mexican restaurant! Service was amazing. They went out of the way to make everything perfect. Music too me back to my vacation. Eat in if u can they have a swings bar, sports on and do affordable. I'm taking a doggie bag home there was so much food. So glad they are in Highland! Better than Milford's Mexican restaurant for sure.

Fajitas Tejanas

Stopped in with another couple excited to try out this new to the area Mexican restaurant. The place has a Mexican/Caribbean vibe music playing along the sidewalk and inside. We started with chips and salsa that was very fresh tasting with a little spice. Our server took good care of us and our meals were prepared promptly. I had the Fajitas Tejanas and my wife had a Monster Burrito. My Fajitas were very good and served with fresh guacamole, beans, sour cream lettuce and Pico. The Monster Burrito was a nice size portion and tasty however a little over powered by the burrito sauce on top. This was our first try, we will be back in the future.

It feels like we are clubbing in here. Can't have a conversation really. The corn chips are not fresh, could be better if they were freshly made. I want the chips to be good. The elote seems to be mixed with the queso, which is really runny. It tastes better, but could be thicker. The guacamole is average, not a lot of flavor to it. Main food orders in after about 15 minutes after we were seated. The flautas are super dry, the chicken that is. The chicken isn't even jerky like, just bark like burnt. The lobster quesadilla tastes rather interesting. On closer examination after the odd texture of the lobster, it had the strangest layers to it, reminds me of the Krab. Something quite odd about their lobster for sure, comes across to me as imitation meat. Hard to describe how weird it was to me, has completely left me at a loss and utterly confused. Meat doesn't have the chew I expected at all, mostly disintegrated in my mouth without biting it and the odd layers really threw me off exceedingly. My husband asked our waitress about the nature of the lobster meat to Nikki. She asked the kitchen if the lobster meat in the quesadilla and enchiladas was real lobster meat. The kitchen of course said yes, it is. I wouldn't have expected anyone to say the lobster meat was imitation though. Such a strange meal and experience tonight.

Decided to give this place a try on Memorial Day weekend and went specifically for happy hour deals…read moreand also decided to eat dinner. Happy hour: well drinks $4 (great deal), wine and margarita good deals too. Note that craft beer was not on happy hour (disappointing). Appeared only bottled beers were on happy hour; wish that beer on tap was at least some discount like $1 off would be a nice perk. Craft beer tall was $8.50. Ouch. (Even the local river edge's brewery doesn't charge that much.) Select appetizers were $7. Pretzels were okay. Not very good flavoring and a little tough chewy for our liking. The mustard was more honey mustard texture instead of stone mustard that I prefer with pretzels. The beet cheese was good. They do give a generous amount of beer cheese. Main course/meals: husband got the Alabama smash burger which he said was good and flavorful. Fries were good with a nice coating. I had the steak tacos. I do want to note I have a tomato allergy so needed to make some modifications and also don't like grilled onions. However I was very disappointed with the steak tacos. They were very small size (like appetizer to me) and all it had was the steak and melted cheese. Lettuce and avocado would have gave these some flavor. I asked for a side of beer cheese with the tortilla chips since I could have salsa. I was upcharged $3. Very confusing because bill said it was taken off then it was added back on at the bottom of the bill?! They have a bar area that is separate from the rest of the restaurant. They have a lot of seating with a mix of tables and booths. Bill was $70 for 2 tall beers, 1 well drink, 1 appetizer, burger and tacos. Plus tip was almost $90. Disappointing and not worth the money. Many other places locally that you get more food and drinks for the money.
