This place usually has really good food, but seems a little ridiculous to charge for a few extra lemons. $2 for 4 lemons. I think that's excessive if you ask me. I usually like to go here for lunch bc they're fast but the service hasn't been good lately either. read more

I used to visit Terrell several times a week when my employer had a manufacturing facility located there. That was a long time ago, but I recall eating at a restaurant in this same location. Not sure if it was the same owners back then, but they served Tex-Mex food and it was a favorite among my co-workers. I decided to drop in again and see if anything had changed. The service was great and not at all what I remember. My lasting memory of the place involved a waitress who was too friendly or overly familiar. Now Texans can be friendly but this waitress was over-the-top. She was like, "Hey honey baby darling, can I get you something else sweetie?" I recall eating there with Canadian visitors who were totally bemused by that waitress. Anyway, the current service is excellent and respectful, the food was great, and I won't stay away so long when I visit next time. read more

Prices have gone way up!! We went yesterday and were surprised to find a newly printed menu with much higher prices. Our party of 7 decided to stay, what a mistake. Couldn't beg hard enough to get refills on drinks and chips even though we ordered two large queso dips. They forgot to cook my fathers food so he got his plate after everyone else was already done, without apology. We complained to the manager on the way out and she laughed and said it's how it is around there. She never once apologized or offered any form of explanation. This used to be our favorite place and we came here often but we will NOT be back. At these high prices I expect high quality service. Good luck! read more

I really love this place! I eat there all the time. The prices are very affordable and food is really good. BUT there are only 2 things that are disappointing. The chips always have an old grease taste. And they can make rice but not Caldo? Lol... They cook their soup down to almost nothing but broth and meat . Granted the soup has a good flavor but no veggies Ever . The rest of their food is hands down delicious! I do recommend this place to all my family and friends. read more

Cheese enchiladas tasted like they were made with Kraft singles. The Margarita was really bad too. I have never sent a drink back, but I did send the Margarita back. The server took our order, dropped off our food, and we never saw her again. After thirty minutes of waiting to get the check, we had to go find the manager to get it for us. The Margarita we sent back was still on the check, and the manager and the server were very rude about taking it off. Bad service! read more

Hometown, family restaurant. The restaurant has been around about 15 years--newest owner has had it for about 7 years. Very simple place--not 'fancy', simple food that was delicious--my husband had tacos, I had the Chili Relleno with Ranchero sauce. The sauce was not typical, flavorful-unique to this restaurant. ingredients are fresh, chips 'homemade'. Service was very gracious, and timely. Our understanding is that they have won best restaurant among Mexican restaurants. We'll make it a point to eat here, if ever passing through again. read more

Wasn't that impressed. It's better than los hermanos though. My jumbo margarita came out and tasted as if it was just mix, no Taquila. I asked if they could make it stronger, she just went back and filled it up with more mix. Tasted the exact same. She wasn't the friendliest waitress in town either. They also brought our taco out 10 minutes before our food came out. They left us with no choice than to eat our taco before anything else. Just had lunch at El Nogalito due to good reviews on Yelp. The chicken in my enchilada was raw. At first, The waitress said that it was the marinade they use...then the manager said it was where the meat is red next to the bone. I don't care how they explain it...the meat was not done. The friend I was dining with also thought the chicken was not completely cooked. They did bring me a flour tortilla with refried beans and cheese instead...which was good...but did not take the meal off the ticket. This was enough to turn me vegetarian...will not eat there again. read more

I've been coming here for years, this place used to be a great place to eat but NOT anymore. We ate there today and the food was terrible! The menudo had no hominy (maybe that's how they make it here) and tasted bland like they didn't add any spices. The rice and beans were the same way, bland and flavorless. When we got our bill we noticed we were overcharged for the enchilada plate and grabbed a menu to check (different than the one we ordered from) and yup, they charged too much. When we mentioned it to the cashier she adjusted the price to what the menu said but said that the price in the menu is the wrong price! Really?!? They can't mark the "correct" price in their menus??? I now wonder how many menu items have the "wrong price". After paying our bill I decide to make a quick trip to the restroom, I happen to notice, NO toilet paper. When I came out I noticed an employee dragging a big bag of onions into the restaurant from the back patio area. I cringed when I saw him drag the mesh bag across the floor I front of the restrooms! That's DISGUSTING!!!! Obviously restroom floors aren't sanitary and people walk in and out of them all day, right where he was dragging those onions! I will NOT be eating here again! read more

I had dinner here this evening. My fajitas were burnt to a crisp and when I said something to the waitress she agreed the food was burnt however the owners would not refund and pointed out a sign stating there would be no refunds for food, beverages or service.. I would not recommend El Nogalito to anyone.. Poor customer service and food that was awful.. This restaurant has just lost a good customer and more importantly I will let everyone who asks know it would be a waste of time and money to go there...the owners need to learn what customer service and satisfaction mean to their business. read more
