Another really good meal here on Taco Tuesday. It's my first time here since after their remodel. It's a lot more welcoming, although it's very loud due to the tortilla machines churning out their deliciousness. Wish they would install some type of wall to dampen the noise. The food was so good that I forgot to take pictures. Thankfully, the food is not Tex-Mex. Best part is that they make their own corn and flour tortillas and at least 4 different salsas (even a non spicy one of the gringos). read more

I don't know why there aren't more people in Terrell frequenting this place, but it's my go to when I'm in the area. They have great service, and are always very welcoming. It's always clean and quiet. The prices are fair, the food is always on point, and I always take people with me to experience the deliciousness every time I go. Get the birria taco plate!!! First time to visit. Tried them because of the numerous good ratings. Was not really impressed with them Don't really like a walk-up order like a sit down restaurant. You order then go back up to get your food then bus your own table. Drinks are bottle drinks. They don't check on you to make sure things are ok. I stopped by the other day and asked the General Manager, Virginia, if they would be able to deliver food. I wanted to serve lunch to the staff of the Windsor Rehab Center on two different days. Let me tell you....she and her family went above and beyond!! Not only did they make sure that everything was prepared fresh, but they even took it in and set everything up for everyone. I got the birria tacos which were good but the rice and beans were bland. The limonada was not good at all, it tasted very watered down. What is having me rate this less than 3 stars is the service. The front door and website state they close at 7pm I arrived at 5:45 . When I came in to order my food I was greeted with a very unwelcoming "did you decide what you want." Ummm no I just walked in. However, it gets worse. After ordering I go to sit down and was then asked was it going to be for dine in. I stated yes and she said well we close at exactly 6 are you good with that. I told her the door says 7 she said yea we close right at 7 and the kitchen closes at 6:45. What that has to do with me since I am there a hour and 15 minutes before closing, idk?! I told her I'm going to eat here and don't want to be rushed even though I don't think I'm going to take the full hour. She then walked away. Here is a tip: You can't have bland food and bad customer service please pick your struggle. I regularly don't write reviews but I really hope someone in charge sees this and offers more training in customer service. read more

The service was great. Food wasn't as great as I was hoping from a taqueria. The tortillas were delicious, but the beans and rice lacked flavor. The street tacos weren't fantastic but compared to what i have found local they will do in a pinch. I haven't tried their breakfast tacos yet but hope to. read more

We haven't been able to find authentic tacos in our area and don't want to drive to Dallas in traffic, so we were very excited to try out Tortilleria Terrell! It's a good sign when they make their tortillas (flour & corn) in house. We ordered in, though when my husband arrived there was some confusion as to how many tacos he had ordered. They seemed slightly unorganized, unless it was just a busy day. Friendly staff, the asada and barbacoa tacos were amazing, al pastor were tender though not the flavor you may expect, and chicharron needed a little more seasoning. The red salsa was spicy and green was mild and tasty. Wish it was a straight shot off the highway but we will be back! read more
