Carne Guisada the way you would make at home, swimming in flavor!! Wow!!

Paco and Maria have been serving up family Tex-Mex and authentic Mexican food in this small "hole-in-the-wall" restaurant for over 22 years. We learned this from the man himself, younger brother of Tex-Mex legend Pete Dominquez (Casa Dominquez). Good food and friendly service abounds in the Dominquez family DNA. This is NOT the place for you if you are looking for a sparkling, cookie-cutter themed restaurant with institutional or microwaved meals. After reviewing the many choices available from the menu I asked Paco for his recommendations. He said the Chile Relleno and Tacos al Carbon were very popular. He then smiled and said "we can fix you anything you want". I asked for his suggestion and his grin grew when he said "Carne Guisada"!! I chose to have it prepared spicy. I think it must be one of Maria's favorite dishes to make because after about a 15 minute wait Paco served me, and Maria followed a few minutes later asking what I thought. "It's fantastic", I said and she was overcome with joy!! Seriously, at first I wasn't sure what another reviewer meant when they posted "Beware of the Hot Sauce". But after scarfing down a bowl of it with the homemade chips I now believe it was a warning that once tried you won't want to stop eating it. The homemade hot sauce was incredible. This is a great place if you are comfortable with the home-spun atmosphere and service. Your fork will be wrapped in a paper towel and you won't leave unsatisfied!!

The most authentic Mexican food in our area, for a sit- down meal. Very good and tasty. The hospitality is superb.

I always order the Spicy Pork Tamales. They include their excellent salsa. We've also had breakfast here a couple of times and never been disappointed. Great service! Great prices! Great food!

After my experience today, I've learned that this place has come under new management, which is…read moredisappointing that the opportunity to improve this restaurant was lost on me. I started by calling ahead because I've often had to wait a long time when I order at the drive thru. I was told it would take 20 minutes. I arrived 5 minutes early and had to wait a while before someone greeted me at the window. I arrived early so I could discuss why the total I was quoted seemed higher than what I saw on the menu posted on Google. I ordered 6 fajita beef tacos at $3.50 each. When I got to the restaurant, I was told that the tacos were $6.00 each. The woman at the window stated that it's an old menu and suggested I read the disclaimer about menu availability. She told me that all current information is on their Facebook page. I suggested to her that you may want to get with Google and have it updated. She responded by telling me that they have nothing to do with what they have on Google and again suggested I read the disclaimer about the menu availability. Way to put that on your customer who is now paying $10 more because they read the "wrong menu". So I gave her my card to pay for the food. It had already been 20 to 25 minutes since I ordered ahead. She gave me back my card and receipt and closed the window. I figured she'd be back with my order. I didn't see anyone for 15 more minutes. I was livid. A car drove up behind me and I thought hopefully, that will get someone to the window so I can ask what was taking so long. When she finally opened the window, I said, "I called ahead for a reason, you quoted me 20 minutes and it has been 40 minutes. What took so long?" All she said was "Sorry about that. Have a nice day." Then she shut the window on me. I saw red but I took a deep breath and drove off telling myself both Google and Facebook are getting this review. I will say this one good thing about my experience. When I got home and sat down to eat, the tacos were the ! Way better than the dry tacos I've had from previous visits. So, if anything will save this place, it's the cook. Whoever you are, I thank you. I hope you are well compensated . However, I'm sorry to say. I will never go back due to how I and my concerning questions about the menu were treated at the window. Do better about who you have
