He ate two tacos and I got the pork carnitas dinner and hubby got the carne asada dinner. We were all stuffed full and happy with our meals. Went for lunch this week when they had their Taco special and you could get any taco for 2. 99 each. I ended up getting three tacos but should have stopped it too because I was way over stuffed. Looking back now I have no idea how little man ate two whole tacos these things were huge! I got the birria taco, carne asada, and the al Pastor. The al pastor was my favorite and had fresh diced pineapple and pickled onions. It was delicious! I also love the sauces they give you. There is a red sauce that's a bit spicy and a green sauce which is a little less spicy. They both add a lot of flavor. I travel here a lot now so this will definitely be a regular stop!

I expected it to be a little cheaper in Corydon but it was about the same for tacos that I pay in Columbus, OH. The elote however was crazy cheap at -$3 and was fantastic. Chips were so so. Sals was pretty spicy but I like spice and it was good resturaunt thick puree style. Taco al pastor was terrific. Pork was well seasoned and juicy tender. Toppings and corn tortilla were awesome. Beef hard shell taco was so so. The shell was great and you could tell made in house. The beef had no flavor. My two biggest issues: the taco was tiny. They serve in laying on its side. So I had to reassemble it. Beer was cold and reasonable price. Overall would recommend and visit again.

I could list the different meals and the thoughts on each dinner or app but the consensus was a lack of seasoning or overall taste. The food used to be a home run but, on this night, it was just very average. That was my opinion and unfortunately the feeling from the entire group of 10. The service was excellent; the beer was the best part of the night. It's beyond me on what's changed, recipes, owner, chef, standards? I don't know but I hope they find their way back. My wife thought I was being too generous with three stars. That should tell you something.

We ordered the bruschetta first, and it was almost the best I've had since we were in Italy! They brought us some cheesy garlic bread, obviously homemade, and it is also a favorite. Auntie and Hubby had house salads that they rapidly devoured. Then, the main course: Hubby had lasagna, a HUGE slab that he thoroughly enjoyed. Auntie went for the shrimp scampi linguine, and she said that was how gourmet scampi should be! I stayed with the classic spaghetti and meatballs. The tomato sauce was perfect: clinging to the noodles, not watery as are some. The 100% beef meatballs were great. We all quit eating & packed leftovers so we would have room for desserts. The other thing Abruzzo's is known for are their cheesecakes. The display case when we walked in was enough to convince us. I wish I had gone with a cheesecake slice, but chose the adequate cannoli. Hubby chose the towering slice of chocolate cake, which he was unable to finish but was added to the carry-out goodies. Auntie ordered the banana pudding cheesecake to go. She said it was heavenly. We were surprised at the reasonable cost for the dinners, especially given the rate of everything else at this point! Abruzzo's is in a converted old garage, but they covered the walls in red velvet drapes, and the booths and tables were new and comfortable. The restaurant is a family concern, and I suspect that most of the workers there were part of the family. They were all courteous, efficient, and polite. It was a real pleasure. We'll be back again!

The Caesar salad was very good with a kick of spice. The variety of the pick 2 included spaghetti and meatballs, rigatoni and sausage, fettuccine Alfredo and sun dried tomatos ago el olio. We all enjoyed all the pasta dishes. The sausage on the rigatoni was really good! We ordered several desserts, the plain cannoli, the chocolate covered cannoli, the chocolate chip cake and the tiramisu. All were good, the cannolis were nice and crispy and probably one of the best I have had. The tiramisu had a ton of coffee taste. I was told by the owner that the menu may have new items in the next few weeks and they sound wonderful. The only thing missing was a glass of wine with dinner but it wasn't a big deal. Abruzzo's does not have a liquor license just as an FYI. We will be back!
