Buche is savory and doesn't feel like you're even eating offal. Everything is loaded up! The loaded potato has about a 1/2" lb of meat or more. The quesadillas are plump! Meat almost falls out. Sauces and other accompaniments are self serve and you can get as much as you want. Their chipotle salsa is spicy but damn is it good. They even have spicy onions that I never see. While you wait for your meal and watch the taquero at work, they have beans, tostadas, nopal, grilled onions and jalapenos all just sitting there FOR FREE. They also have some tiny potatoes soaking in the meat juices if you're lucky enough that they haven't run out (also for free!). The experience is just so customer forward and this is a gem that I hope expands even more. They have deals every week from buy one get one tortas, $1 tacos at a certain day at each location. It's often they have a line so consider yourself blessed if there isn't.

They are freshly made and there is a salsa bar with lemon, etc. including beans. My husband's order was wrong, but he didn't say anything because he wanted to eat his tacos. He felt the meat was underseasoned. My huarache was large and had a smear of refried beans inside. It has chicharron on one side and suaderro on the other side. It also had a sprinkle of queso. The chicharron was not the crunchy kind. It is soft because it is simmered in sauce. Neither my husband or I would not have ordered it if I had known because we prefer crunchy chicharron. We probably will not return because of the lack of seasoning on the meats. The tortillas were fantastic and so was the huarache, but the salsas were average.

We were able to park at the VIP lot and avoid crowds, enter the VIP entrance, and access to the VIP lounge with snacks, drinks and most importantly, clean restrooms. The VIPs were also welcomed in an hour early for dinner. At the entrance there is a metal detector and bag check. The website said clear bags only, so I prepared accordingly but they weren't too strict with enforcing it. We were given a village fest cup and a stamp card. The event sponsors Big Wave Kona had a large booth with ample staff pouring our first drink to get us started. We definitely felt the aloha! We started off in the VIP area to eat dinner. Then it was party party for the rest of the night. There were 4 different stages of live music, 100+ brews, 70+ wines, and unlimited food and snack samples from the local businesses. I have been to many food and spirits type of festivals and this one is without a doubt the best one I've been to. Loving the VIP life. Can't wait to come back for next year's Village Fest!!

Especially cigar smoke. Folks can smoke ANYWHERE. In food lines, on the dance floors, in front of the high powered fans etc. And there is a LOT of it. Really quite unbelievable. And while someone might argue a good cigar is pleasant, this is definitely not true of second hand cigar smoke! It's stomach churning putrid nonsense. Why not have designated zones for this? I have no problem with designated zones. It is truly remarkable that this can occur.
