When I arrived at 9 AM (when they were opening) a man was sweeping the sidewalk. I noted that the place looked worn but clean. I was greeted by a nice elderly man at the counter. I believe his wife may have been handling the other counter. I found so many Vietnamese, Japanese and Thai foods that I normally eat and like. One item that I hardly used to see was the sticky rice wrapped around a banana and steamed in banana leaves. I found that at this little unassuming store. I took my time browsing through the aisles and was amazed at how many items I could eat that were gluten free and dairy free. Because a lot of Asian food uses shoyu, soy sauce, that contains gluten, I have had to restrict my diet of Asian food. But this store opened up a whole new world for me. I am so happy I found this place. Some of the Asian veggies are a bit pricey but it was definitely less expensive than the big Asian Markets like HMart. The mochi I bought was also less expensive than the big markets, made and shipped directly from Japan. I will definitely go back to this store when I run out of all the items I just bought there. It is handicapped accessible. The only problem is getting the door open without assistance. I am not handicapped but I saw how the elderly man at the counter maneuvered his wheelchair into the store. I highly recommend this place, especially if you're looking for Vietnamese and Thai items.

He said that the last brand didn't sell well and they put everything on sale to clear it out. He gave me an uncertain timeline of two weeks for a restock, but it didn't sound real. I am from out of town, and it's a two hour drive, and I came singularly for the frozen mock meat. I did walk the isles and they do have a lot of items to choose from that you will not find in a typical American supermarket, and I picked up some interesting sauces and condiments I hadn't seen before, which was good. Very, very bad was the bathroom. There was a pool of dirty water on the floor with a mop and pail. The latch on the single sit down stall was broken and I walked in on someone. The sinks are stained and dirty. The smell is bad and overwhelming. They need to clean it and wipe it down and fix the sit down stall latch. All in all, the store has a lot of asian products you will not find in supermarkets, they are comme ci, comme ça! ‍ on frozen mock meat products, and somebody really needs to clean their men's bathroom.
