Thursday. March 5, 2026. Late lunch. Stopped at this location with a co-worker on the advice of a workout buddy. Even at 2 pm, this location was busy. We parked on the side of the building and walked in. They have a pretty large menu, see attached photograph. I ordered the ground beef enchilada with red chile for $13. They also asked for my two sides, beans, rice, posole. Decided on rice and posole. They served an ample amount of lettuce and tomatoes on the side of the enchilada. Enchilada had lots of cheese and beef. The order came out very quickly- as fast as fast food. My only criticism would be the large amount of salt they used in the rice and enchilada. Not all El Parasol's are the same. They have different hours and different menu items. At this location, I had the Deluxe tostada, which is my fav. The arroz con pollo soup has chile in it at this location but not at the one near the Relief Route in SF. The tamale at this location was swimming in HOT red chile. Couldn't do my stomach dirty like that at 8pm, so ate it the next day. My advice is get to know your Parasol and stick with it. If you try a different one, don't assume it's the same as your fav. read more

Went there yesterday & got chicharrone burrito, Carne guisada burrito & half dozen tamales. The burritos were good but Carne guisada was a bit dry but tasty. They need to add a bit of the stew liquid to it. Tamales were tasty but the mass is real thin so when u heat them up they fall apart so they need to work on the masa. Fun little place to stop in Pojaque. They serve really delicious Mexican food in a very relaxed atmosphere. I have enjoyed a number of their tacos and burritos. I especially like the chicharones. El Parasol is a must if you're passing through or nursing a hangover after a night at Buffalo Thunder. We were doing both. Great breakfast burrito and tacos and the red and green chile are top notch. Staff at this location can be a little rough around the edges like they hate life, but I was only there for the food. I had asked for chile on the side, no cheese and add pico to my burrito and when I picked it up the older gal gave me a very audible sigh with a "what a ridiculously complicated order." This place is a hole in the wall gem It's out in the middle of nowhere, right off the highway, but there's always people eating in there and one thing my abuelita always told me is hijo always eat at the places the locals eat at!! The other El Parasol locations are better. This one is a consistent disappointment. They frequently get orders wrong, leave out items on to-go orders (so you don't find out til you get home!), handheld burritos are often spewing out their guts and all soggy and messy to eat. Most employees are nice, but the owner/manager is a real jerk - he's very unfriendly and ungrateful to his regular customers, myself included. I used to eat there all the time and you'd think the owner would be more grateful to loyal customers. But nope. He even made a big stink one time when we asked for an extra salsa.. because we'd already paid. So he wanted to charge us $.25 for it on a whole separate transaction. read more

The edges were tasty, but the potatoes and broccoli in the center weren't super flavorful. Amazing, walked in on the way to the caldera, hoping for a good quick bite, and it did exactly that, i ordered and less than 5 minutes laters here's my food in front of me. STOP HERE! Helps to break up that horrible portion of a drive between Santa Fe and the Northern parts of NM. The Chicharron Burrito is FANTASTIC! It comes with perfectly sized & cooked Chiche's as well as wonderfully cooked beans and chilli. Another thing you can't go wrong with are the tacos. They have quite the variety, and I bet you won't be disappointed with any of them. The breakfast burrito's are my least favorite item here, and they are not bad. My friend just said he wanted to marry his frito pie. It did look pretty sexy. Yum! My chile relleno burrito was so delicious. I polished that off in no short order. Wow super great New Mexican style fast food. The prices were very reasonable and the food was so good. I had a chicken tamale with green sauce and pork tamales with red sauce. It was so good definitely one of the best tamales I have had. My daughter had the chili bean. And cheese burrito served Christmas style and it was huge and tasty. I'm not sure about other locations, but this location in Pojoaque has the rudest customer service. Every single women that answers the phone is a rude bitch! Makes you to not want to order food from here. I know I'm not the only customer who has experienced this either. What a shame knowing that US locals supported throughout Covid then in return get talked to you like crap, the hung up on!? You would NEVER be treated like this at Sopapilla Factory, the food is better always consistent and not over priced. Unfortunately slim pickings in Pojoaque. Good food and friendly service. Was a little disappointed there wasn't any seating. A small bag of free chips would be nice, but that's wasn't a deal breaker. We bought a bag of homemade tortilla chips and a side of salsa and had plenty left over. I will say it was all very spicy for my Gringo palette I added sour cream and smoothed it out. We had a vegetarian quesadilla but the cheese wasn't melted. We also had a frito pie that was good. The smothered shredded beef burrito was also tasty but again too spicy for my taste. Takeout food is never very appetizing to me, the foam container turns me off. I'm a real plate and silverware person when I'm eating out. So one star off for no dine in option. read more

This is the poorest quality product of all of the Parasol locations. Nowhere close to as good as the other Santa Fe locations, and FAR below the quality of the Española location. Better off skipping this one and going all the way into Española. read more

When I approached the counter I was greeted by a young man in a back tee to place my order, when I asked for 5 chicken tacos for my wife and I he said it would be a 30-40 min. wait because someone placed a 70 taco order and they were filling it. I asked when they are coming for the tacos and he responded by saying in half and hour. Hmmm? I asked if he could just place 5 of the ordered tacos in a bag and keep working through the large order instead of turning patrons away as I saw others walking out upset upon hearing the news, he responds by telling me there are people in the restaurant waiting for 40 mins already.???? is this the way to run a establishment? these people need intelligent guidance from someone.
