The service was very friendly and fast. The food was kind of hit and miss. We ordered tacos texpaños, rice and beans, a torta, and Tres leches cake. The tacos were very good with lots of flavor and the sauces they came with has the perfect spice level and complimented the tacos perfectly. Rice and beans were pretty standard. The torta was nothing special and kind of boring. No real exciting flavors and the fries that came with it were floppy and sad. Now I'm very torn about the Tres leches cake. It was probably the best tasting Tres leches cake I've ever had. It had the perfect texture and the flavor was so good. BUT it also had that old fridge taste to it as if it's been sitting in a refrigerator absorbing all the odors in it. It was very offputting, and I ended up not finishing the cake because of that. I think if you're lucky enough to order the Tres leches cake the day they make it it would be worth it to try it. The two tacos, side of rice and beans, torta, and slice of cake came out to $34. I don't think that is a bad price, but I would expect the food to be a bit more flavorful and exciting at that price point. Overall, I would say it's a decent Mexican restaurant. This place is a hidden gem! Tucked away in a town between towns. Before I talk about the food I have to mention the hospitality and friendly environment. You don't think about how important the ambiance of a place is until you have bad service and rude waiters. This place was friendly and welcoming. The chips and salsa is homemade and so so good. The salsa is zesty and savory. I had a shrimp appetizer to start which had a variety of shrimp prepared differently. The bacon wrapped shrimp was delicious. And the dipping sauces to accompany the shrimp. They have shrimp empanadas!!!!! I was in someone's grandmas house with the first bite. These were something I can't compare to anything I have had before. NOT YOUR TYPICAL EMPANADAS If you're like me .... Fish tacos are a priority on the menu. These fish tacos were seasoned to perfection and cooked perfectly. The tortillas are homemade. SOFT WARM AND BOMB! Plated with rice and beans and a sauce I wish I had the recipe for. This little place is packed with great food, friendly service, and clean premises. We had the chili relleno lunch plate and a shredded beef taco. So so delicious! The relleno was one of the best I've had - chose green sauce. Tasty and flavorful without being over spicy. Beans made fresh - not canned or powdered. Rice hot and tasty. Corn tortillas to die for - homemade and hot! Taco generous and served with marinated red onions - a favorite! Food not to be outdone by good service! Everything was nice and clean! This new Mexican restaurant is tucked away in a little shopping center, if you blink you will miss it. However make sure you stop in and check them out. The environment is family friendly, staff is amazing, clean and the decor is a breath of fresh air. We had the enchiladas, papa loca, oysters, aguachile, and more. The aguachile are spicy but so yummy. Everyone loved their meal. They even gave us two complimentary empanadas. If you like fried fair food, you will like these. Amazing food and service. I am visiting Armona and stopped by for a breakfast burrito. I had the mixed burrito with all the breakfast meats. It was delicious and flavorful. I was full halfway through but kept on eating because it was just that good! I finally tapped out when I had about 4 bites left. It was so good, I packed that little piece up to eat later. Even though I was thoroughly stuffed, I ate the rest about an hour later because all that flavor kept taunting me. My friend had the Mango Beach ceviche. It was so clean, fresh and delicious. Best ceviche I have ever had. My friend said the same. I kept pickong at her plate. We ended up going back later that evening and buying a large tray of ceviche for a family gathering. The fam all loved it too. Even my 9 year old nephew said his bean and cheese burrito was "the best ever". The staff did not hesitate to deconstruct his burrito for him, putting his potatoes and cheese separate from the burrito. KIDS, I tell ya. Picky! I had the opportunity to sample the Chile Verde as well. It was delicious. Just the right amount of spice and not too tangy from the tomatillos. I personally do not like the tangy taste in a lot of Chile Verde. This one was perfecto!! All in all, this place knows how to flavor their food well and serves up some AUTHENTIC dishes which beat the flavor and quality of some of my faves down south in Los Angeles. The staff was attentive, accommodating and friendly. You can bet we will be visiting El Pata Salada each time we are in town. Do yourself a favor and get in there for some tasty food. This is a great seafood restaurant with great service. Our waitress was awesome she was very attentive. I am from OC & we have family in Lemoore that took us here and let me tell you this place didn't disappoint. We tried 3 of their different ceviches which were very flavorful. I got the camarones a la diabla with the medium spice and they were the best I've had in a long time. My husband got the bacon wrapped shrimp and some chile stuffed with meat and it was very tasty. Please keep in mind that all their food is made to order so it might take a bit longer to get your food but it is well worth it because it will all taste fresh. My significant other got camarones a la diabla (devil shrimp) the shrimp tasted old or over cooked, but everything else was good. Our first visit to El Pata Salada and we will definitely be back. The place was packed when we got there at around 5:00 on Sunday. Got seated relatively quickly. Got our drink orders and took our food order within 10 minutes of being seated. Not having been there before we weren't sure what we should get although I did notice a sign at the front that said they were voted best seafood in Kings County for 2022! I ordered Dorado's tacos and my friend ordered the Chile Rellano and a cheese enchilada. Chile Rellano was ok but everything else was excellent. After watching some of the other guests get their food we can't wait to come back and try some other items. Place was clean and service was great. read more

The chips and salsa were homemade. The menu options was vast and so much to choose from. I got the horchata and my husband got the mangoneanda. The mango drink was yum! Highly recommend it. My horchata was good but not as much as the mango drink. I got the veggie burrito bowel; it was simple but filling. My husband got the 3 cheese enchiladas and 2 of the queso veras (think that was the name). He said it was the best tacos he has ever had (and he's a snob with his Mexican food). This place is great. Should have been five stars, but there were a couple of issues though minor. Three in our group ordered flatas, though they tasted great a couple were burnt. The torta was really good but not the best. But the seafood is absolutely 5 stars! The shrimp are very meaty and great taste served with chipotle sauce awesome taste. The mango beach was the best. Excellent beans & rice. Tacos are really good. The staff are the best, very friendly and take pride in their restaurant. They saw the flata was burnt and offered to cook another, but we said it was ok, so they gave us a free beer. Not a very big place, but clean and comfortable atmosphere.
