The food was and is always delicious. The service is outstanding and so quick. We love how clean it is and definitely has the Mexican vibe. One of our favorite restaurants!

Stopped in for lunch they had a huge menu just full of fairly priced menu items so it took me awhile to figure out what I wanted to order. The wait staff was super friendly it wasn't super busy but I was a little late for lunch 1:30 so I missed the crowd The food was bland the salsa was watered down it was authentic alright no flavour at all

It's a decent Mexican restaurant. We stopped in after trick or treating on Halloween. Kinda a taqueria or burrito joint. I thought the chicken was pretty tasty. Nothing special in my opinion. My wife said her margarita was good. My daughter liked her beef enchilada and rice and beans. Probably the better of the Mexican restaurants in Howell. Go give it a try you may love it.

We have eaten at every Mexican Restaurant around Howell. Tonight was our first time at El Patron. We had great food, service, and the ambiance was great as well! I ordered the Burrito Mexicano. It was large, full and flavorful! My wife ordered Enchiladas Suizas and said the meal was far better than all the other restaurants around. We will, be returning!

    Yummy margarita YES PLEASE!

El Arbol is definitely a cool spot visually, and I really wanted to love it based on all the great…read morereviews. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was much better than the food for us. The restaurant itself is bright, colorful, clean, and really well designed. I loved the clever bench seating, the bar was well stocked, and there's outdoor seating plus an upstairs area that looked really cool. They also have a walk-up taco window outside, which is a fun idea. We sat in the bar area, and the service was amazing. Everyone was friendly and attentive. The food, though, was really underwhelming. Almost everything we tried lacked seasoning and flavor. I ordered the chicken enchiladas, which had very little chicken and were pretty bland. I did like the very thinly sliced jalapeños on top. The rice was nice and fluffy but didn't have much flavor, and they serve black beans, which just aren't my preference with Mexican food. The house-made salsa was surprisingly sweet, and I was disappointed that the chips didn't seem house-made. If I'm going out for Mexican food, fresh chips are one of those little things I really look forward to. My husband ordered tacos at $6 each, which felt pretty steep considering we're used to excellent tacos in the $2-$3 range. His carne asada was cooked closer to medium rare, which wasn't what we expected at all from carne asada. The queso was another disappointment. It tasted very similar to Rico's cheese sauce you can buy at the grocery store. Overall, great service, great decor, very clean and a fun atmosphere, but the food just didn't match the setting or the reviews for us. At these prices, I expected a lot more flavor. Unfortunately, we left pretty disappointed.

It feels like we are clubbing in here. Can't have a conversation really. The corn chips are not fresh, could be better if they were freshly made. I want the chips to be good. The elote seems to be mixed with the queso, which is really runny. It tastes better, but could be thicker. The guacamole is average, not a lot of flavor to it. Main food orders in after about 15 minutes after we were seated. The flautas are super dry, the chicken that is. The chicken isn't even jerky like, just bark like burnt. The lobster quesadilla tastes rather interesting. On closer examination after the odd texture of the lobster, it had the strangest layers to it, reminds me of the Krab. Something quite odd about their lobster for sure, comes across to me as imitation meat. Hard to describe how weird it was to me, has completely left me at a loss and utterly confused. Meat doesn't have the chew I expected at all, mostly disintegrated in my mouth without biting it and the odd layers really threw me off exceedingly. My husband asked our waitress about the nature of the lobster meat to Nikki. She asked the kitchen if the lobster meat in the quesadilla and enchiladas was real lobster meat. The kitchen of course said yes, it is. I wouldn't have expected anyone to say the lobster meat was imitation though. Such a strange meal and experience tonight.

She got our drinks out quickly (knowing we needed them lol) and took care of the kiddos too. The portions are very big here and I took about half of my food home and enjoyed it later. I got this shrimp plate with rice, avocado and pico. It was very good and flavorful. The place had festive and fun vibes and I loved their playful art on the menus! Good for families, solo or night out with friends!
