Authentic tacos in South Lyon. I had steak corn tacos and grilled peppers. Son had fajitas and both dinners were delicious. Highly recommend

Started out well after the takeover. We enjoyed the convenience of a Mexican food place. Lots of food and tasty. But this week we find the price had gone up, the menu changed and the portions gone down. A quesadilla which once would have been plenty was one small folded tortilla, some rice and lettuce with sour cream. Very disappointing. No reason to go back now if that's how things are. Dropped in a few days ago while driving through South Lyon. This is a small but mighty establishment with indoor seating for around 10 people so mostly a takeout business. That said, I ordered enchiladas, rice, beans, chips and salsa and at there. The chips and salsa were quite good. I loved the salsa. Great flavor profile, not too hot. My enchiladas were tasty and a good portion overall, same for the rice and beans. I ate everything I ordered and was more than full when done with my meal. Although they do have a refridgerator with beverages, was hoping for a fountain soda or iced tea which they don't have. No problem as it was not an issue. The woman who took my order was very helpful and super friendly. The menu on the wall has plenty of options to consider. I'll definitely stop in next time I'm in the area. Got there for lunch on Tuesday. Ordered two enchilada lunch special to go. Very thin layer if refried beans and a scoop of rice: portion small tasted fine even though served on aluminum. Enchiladas were rather good. The green salsa is not the slightest bit spicy but can add hot sauce if want. Had imported glass bottles of soda from Mexico, including high sugar labeled cola. Not impressive but I did not get poisoned and left satisfied. There could be some special items hidden in the menu. Not much else close, so place is good in a pinch. Clean. read more

Oh man is this place good. I was looking for something new and this place blew me away! I got the Ribeye Carne Asada Taquitos which was mouth watering delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly and came with some fresh guacamole, lettuce, tomato, refried beans, and rice. Honestly can't wait to go back and try more things off the menu. read more

Hidden gem! Their Mexican is authentic and tastes amazing! Their queso is creamy, has a bit of jalapeño, and super flavorful. The salsa is homemade and full of flavor too. The portions are large. The tostadas are big and served with a bed of rice underneath. We've also had the burritos, chimichangas, and enchiladas. We order out here every weekend for lunch. I ordered 3 different things... The beef taco, a burrito and an enchilada. The rice that came with the burrito was so delicious I think I could have just ordered that and been satisfied! (Seriously, I would come back for just that). Anyway, the restaurant inside seemed to be closed, but their Covid precautions are in place and they bring the food out to a table, so nobody has to be at risk. read more

I've been in the service industry for years I try to never give poor reviews but I had their soft corn steak tacos, And I could not believe how awful they were ...every other bite was chewy fat I couldn't believe how poor the quality of the meat was. I spent $70 total and a carry out including a 20% tip and was so disappointed the chicken tacos were great the regular beef tacos also very good but the steak tacos I will never ever eat again. This was my third time there and my second time having steak tacos I could barely chew I thought the first time was just a poor cut of meat but twice not OK so sadly I will probably not be returning here. read more

Second chance review: I would up the rating to 3.5 stars but since I can't it is closer to the original 3 stars than 4, so at 3 it stays. We got a steak chimichanga, pork nachos, and carne asada taquitos. The food was slightly better than last time, but the prices are even higher. In terms of taste the rice is awful, dry and flavorless. The beans are standard for a place 1/3 the price. The main entree is better than a dive joint but not above average. Carne asada is not marinated in anything as far as I can tell. Not tender or juicy either, but it has okay flavor. The pork was far better, so....good. It sounds like a bad review, and I suppose it ain't good, but that is all because of the pricing relative to other similar establishments. Prices are about 50% more than one would expect for the same quality food elsewhere. And then again no chips and salsa to boot. The "toppings" like guac, pico, and salsa are the best of the lot. If the prices were cut by 33% or 1/3 it would get the 4th star. read more

A pleasant surprise and new edition to the limited selection here in South Lyon. Food was delicious and the price was just about right. Been wanting to try this place since reading about it. A bit off the trail, but worth it for some tasty chorizo tacos. The tomatillo salsa gave it a great extra zing. Our group also had the chicken tings nachos, the big burrito and the carnita fajitas quesadillas. All were very tasty. read more

Really good home cooked style Mexican food is hard to find outside of Mexicantown in Detroit. Most stuff is Qdoba or Taco Bell. This place has really authentic recipes including ingredients as varied as honeycombed stomach. I had the tacos which were the best I've had in the state. Everything else was very solid as well. I'm very excited to have a locally owned place of such a quality, and I highly encourage folks to check it out. read more

Tried this carry-out once again, ordered two sets of 3 tacos, one set ground beef, the other set with the spicy chicken, both sets on flour tortillas. I was definitely impressed!! The food here is so good. I have tried and liked the shrimp tacos, hubby likes the chorizo tacos. beef enchiladas with the red sauce( I prefer more sauce, next time I will order an extra side), the ala plancha burrito ( the queso sauce is so good, you may want to order an extra side)and beef nachos.
