Aggressive, rude, and unwilling to negotiate. Practically told us to fuck off. Couldn't give us the price breakdown, explain fees, or counter negotiate. Unrealistic price for a 114k mile bmw... basically told us we'd have to pay 3-4k for fees LOL. Ignored car damage, parts needing replacement, and car was kept in bad maintenance (low coolant, worn rubber seals meaning it's been left outside w/ no cover, rotor rust, bad front bumper alignment) 19k out the door but listed for 14900? Would have bought if the dude wasn't an ass, I get we're young and you might think you're waisting your time, but what happened to valuing every customer? I had to sign up for yelp because of how terrible my experience was here. I am using the same email here that I used to contact El Patrón Motors for the showing and test drive. TL;DR for those not interested in the following essay: The main sales guy talks super fast, has maxed out his lies per second, gaslights, guilt-trips and breaks consumer protection law. He does NOT deserve your patronage, nor do you deserve what some of his cars are hiding. DO. NOT. BUY. Here's my story. I came in to see an '06 4runner. Lots of people know these models for their reliability, and I am no stranger to that fact either, having previously owned a 4th gen myself. He let me check out the undercarriage and under the hood with the engine on, plus other functional stuff like windows. Everything seemed fine so far but I'm no mechanic, I only really know how to check rust and that's about it. He told me he'd let me test drive it after I saw the out of door price. It drove alright even though the power steering felt a little bit off. In the office was where things really started getting shady however. I was willing to forego most issues I anticipated to see (and the ones I observed) since I could just spend the $200-some dollars + a restock fee upon return (https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/car-buyers-bill-of-rights-ffvr-35/) to have it checked out at a mechanic's shop to see what the damage would be, so I asked him about it. He was talking up the car (as salespeople usually do, no biggie) and I hadn't noticed much about the car myself, so imagine my surprise when he changes his bright tune to frustration, refuses, and says he doesn't offer it because of 'scams'. The scams he described were self-admitted to be unprofitable for the alleged scammer. Under CA law, used dealers are required to offer you this contract if the used car you are going to purchase costs under $40,000 (source: https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/car-buyers-bill-of-rights-ffvr-35/). It's mutually protective, and empowers the dealership against scams and theft. I asked a second and third time while looking up the law and showing him and his staff, still giving them the benefit of the doubt that perhaps they didn't understand what I was asking about. Same story, the girl filing my paperwork says she hasn't heard of it and that she does what she's told, and the main sales guy says he doesn't offer it. Then, the main sales guy left the room with my check and I asked the girl at the desk where their other buyer policies were and she kindly pointed me to the sign on their wall which mentioned their legal obligation to offer me the cancelation contract. The main sales guy came storming back with my check and cussed me out of his office, talking over me and calling me a waste of time when I pointed out his sign. If I had to speculate, I think his game-plan is to lie and say he doesn't offer the contract so that buyers agree to buy the car without it added on, then points to his sign and says he offered it when they show up angry with their car in disrepair. Needless to say, I am ecstatic to make it out safe with my money. Here's a list of some of his behavior towards me: - Treats me like the best mechanic in the world, like my word on the car's health must mean it must be in the best possible shape, but then treats me like I know nothing when it's in his advantage to say so. Used my uneducated word on the car against me and repeats 'you saw the car has no problems. Why are you scared, you have no reason to be scared' at me. - Abrupt changes in attitude. - Says he only accepts cash (untraceable!), but for me, he'd make an exception since my institution has no local banks in LA (the closest one is 86 miles away, which limits me to checks). I had checked in before-hand which payment methods they offered. - Says (in reference to other customers) that he usually charges credit union users $5k, and that he has offered warranties as well in the past for $5-7k. -Tells me about repairs to an oil manifold leak and spark plugs that he had done, which weren't reported on the free carfax. Typically dealerships will flex these things on the reports. - Gaslit me about the price to fix a differential system, control arms, and ball bearings when I told him about bill I had to pay on my old '04 4runner during our conversation about buyer-dealer scams. - Told me that the '06 4runner I was in to see was 'a steal' despite having average mileage and a list price that was a few thousand over others with the same trim. Additionally, he had a LoJack tracker fee for $1000 which I thought was a bit high but a reasonable addition considering I had to use checks with him. You can refuse this item, but the seller can also refuse to sell to you if you decline. Weirdly though, he said all his cars had them installed to prevent theft (makes sense), but told me during paperwork that he was going out to install it on the '06 4runner (odd). read more

Very rude no hospitality I do not recommend this spot there are plenty of other spots that are way better. cars come with defects that won't show until you purchase the car. Here's my experience: I bought a car from this place back in early November 2023. The very day I took the car home, before I got home, the check engine light went on. I called Muhammad right away and he said it was probably due to the car sitting out on his lot for a while. Okay, I said. But I pressed him because IT IS NOT NORMAL FOR THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO GO ON THE DAY YOU PURCHASE A CAR. He said to bring it in the next day. Okay, I did just that. When I went in he had a look at it with a code scanner. I came over to where he was in the driver's seat and suddenly the light was off. I said, hey, it was on when I was driving over here and when I got here. His response: "Bro. You can lie. I can lie. The machine don't lie." The light went on just then. He had no choice but to have "his mechanic" look at it on the spot. The guy cleared the light and Muhammad said it was probably nothing. But, he used the opportunity to try to sell me a used car warranty and sounded pretty convincing about how it might come in handy. And, I was about to bite, but then I read the fine print--the warranty wasn't worth the paper it was printed on. But it would cost me an additional $5k or so over time. I politely declined. Fast forward a couple days--the check engine light came back on. I realized that dealing with Muhammad would be a waste of time so I took it to the manufacturer's service center. After paying $500+ for the check-up, their assessment was that it would cost about $7,500 to fix two issues with the car, one of which alone cost $6,000+. Luckily, I happened to know someone who knows about the car in question and I was able to get the issues fixed by less than that. Another issue: Muhammad was supposed to send me my plates by mail. Except he failed to call me when he got them and he never sent them. So, I called him after my paper plates had expired and he said that he would mail them--for $20. Apparently, because the paper plates had expired, it was too late to mail them and I would either have to pick them up (I don't live that close to South Gate) or have to pay to have them mailed. Okay, I picked them up. Another VERY SHADY thing: throughout the purchase process he kept reminding me to call the bank because he said, if I didn't, they wouldn't approve the loan. Well, I waited a few days to call but when I eventually did, the representative literally told me "but I already spoke to you." She kept saying this several times and I said, lady I have not called you. VERY. VERY. SHADY. I can't prove anything, but that's extremely suspicious to me. The bottom line. Buy from this shady guy and you are buying crap and headaches. read more

Proceed with caution when dealing with this shady dealership! I purchased a car in late July "24" paid cash only to have been taken advantage of because of my age,gender and race. The manager or lead salesman Ali is a fast talker who preys on elderly middle class women. He was persistence in getting me to come down to look at the car. Once I got there he sold me a dream that quickly turned into a nightmare . As soon as I got the car home I had problems. I tried to contact him several times to no avail. Six months on and I've had to spend 5k. I realize I have been scammed by this scandalous company. This is what I call an expensive education!
