Because of this, their asking price is $17k when the car's actual value is $10k. The day I went to Quick and easy auto I called first. The salesman I spoke to (mickey paz) ends up being owner of my now car. Paid $4500 for 2007 honda civic si 191819 miles and all this wrong with it: -clutch -clutch berrings - motor mount -control arm -u joints -ac compressor -stock amp fried -actual car key was ran over -zip ties were on the front grill but he denies accident. So it wasnt reported but it was in accident or he didnt like the car at all! It was alot of times taken car to them...getting dicked around. They negotiated a price, but did not honor it the next day after returning with my auto loan to purchase the car. I even had a printed invoice with the negotiated price. There was apparently a miscommunication between the sales person and the "boss." If I could give zero stars I would. DO NOT buy a car here. You've been warned... I don't even know where to begin. I saw what seemed to be a credible ad placed on CarGurus for a Toyota Tacoma, so I called and spoke to a nice woman on the phone who said it was available for me to come look at. I glanced at a few bad reviews of this place, but I guess I was lured in by this deal they were offering on this truck (low mileage, clean car fax report, decent price, and financing options), so I thought I would at least check it out. I asked her if I could take it to a mechanic nearby to have them check it out before purchase. She puts me on hold, comes back and says I have two options: 1. Bring my own mechanic with me 2. Take it to a Toyota dealer near them and I will have to pay $150 for the inspection. First red flag. I should have just hung up and moved on to the next place but I really wanted to see this truck, so I figured I could convince them to let me take it someplace close and pay like $40 for an inspection. Once arriving, I walk into the lot (which looks like a tow truck lot) toward the Tacoma I saw in the pics and I'm quickly greeted by this slick haired guy that would be a perfect casting choice for shady salesman in a movie. I told him which truck I wanted to look at and asked if I could test drive it, expecting him to say "sure lemme get your driver's license and let's go!" Instead I get, "We don't let customers test drive our vehicles." Say what? "What do you mean? How am I supposed to know if it drives well? Brakes? Steering?" Now he's talking a mile a minute trying to convince me why they don't let customers text drive cars until after the sale is complete, they don't have insurance for people to test drive etc. I tell him, "Look I don't buy jeans without trying them on let alone a car." This means nothing to him. He continues his fast talk bs. Right, so I'll just buy a used car based on looking at it and watching you turn it on and trust you because you say "you can trust me". Second red flag. I tell him I have bought many used cars before an have never been denied a test drive, and that I have cash on hand. He then changes his tune a little, tells me that he will let me test drive it after we go through the paperwork and agree on a price and if I test it and it doesn't drive the way I would like, "you don't buy". I kept telling him I'm not agreeing on any price until I drove it first. I also said that I want to take it to a mechanic to have them inspect it. Then he gets the owner, and let me tell you about this guy... I can't tell where is accent is from but his vibe he puts off is a wannabe Russian/Armenian mob boss. After he takes me in their dirty office room, he closes the doors to the other room with the receptionist, closes all the windows and starts saying things I never thought I would hear from a salesman. here are some verbatim quotes: (After saying I have cash to buy the truck) "You have cash fine, good, I'm sure I have more cash than you." Wtf? Really dude? You're competing with me about how much cash you have? (After asking about finance options, saying I have good credit) "You don't finance. Cash only." "But what about all the signs outside the store?" (I point to a line of obnoxious signs that say things like "no credit, no problem") "Those signs are jut to get people here. DO NOT SHOP HERE UNLESS YOU WOULD LIKE TO PAY MORE THAN PROMISED. Today was my first time ever coming to this dealership. I got here around 3, but there was no one to help me so after about 10 minutes of browsing I left. After, I was car shopping on offer up and saw a Jeep Patriot for sell for $10k. I called the dealership that posted it without realizing it was the first one I went to, to find out if it was still available. Brian let me know it was sold, but there was a 2015 Jeep. He said it was priced at $14k, but I let him know my budget was $12k and he said he could bring the price down if I come in today, since I already have a loan through my bank ready. I just had to pick a car. Once I pulled back up at 4, we discussed the price once again and agreed on $12k. Fast forward 2 hours, it comes down to actually signing papers and Brian hands me off to the owner, Ramses. Ramses then tries to tell me he can't lower it and it is $14k. I told him what Brian and I discussed, to which he said didn't happen. Brian came in and confirmed he told me $12k, but the owner said that wasn't possible. My problem isn't that the car isn't within my price range. My problem was that I spent 2 hours here and had a price agreed on from the very beginning, but when it came down to it they wanted to get over on me and have me take out a larger loan. Ramses even tried to tell me after the fact that Brian is new and that's why he told me a smaller number on accident. Little did he know, Brian told me he's worked there for 6 years and he's a family friend.... Before we got down to the final price, I was actually so impressed with the men that worked here. We really wanted to like this place to support small business. We were exited at the fact that they could finance us for such an economical car. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The person in charge or owner on the other hand was very shady. We decided to trust in the fact that he said if there was problems they would fix them at no cost w/in 3months and that he showed us the Car Fax Report. We took it to our mechanic ($100) and sure enough it had some major issues that would have been very costly if we had not. So we took it back to the dealer and they were fixed at no cost as promised. Then another issue but this time not free due to it wasn't covered under the warranty. Ended up paying $200+. The hubby wanted to see the owner one last time to before paying and somehow that turned into him misunderstanding that he would not pay. The owner cussed at his employee about my husband which ended up becoming a verbal fight between the owner and my husband when he FINALY showed up....Next Day the more than friendly staff, that the owner doesn't seem to appreciate, call to apologize for him and offer a refund. My husband didn't go back, he didn't want to end up having to get into a physical fight and in jail due to a car.
