Great restaurant! They did a fantastic job of making an empty, unused building into a nice place. The booths are comfortable and roomy and there is plenty of table seating that can accommodate large or small parties. They also have outdoor seating. There is a bar for those who enjoy hanging out there. They have a great variety of beverages. The make your own organic margarita is the best, choose your favorite tequila! The food is great! I have had he Esteban pollo bowl, fried grilled burrito, and the combo 3 with a red tamale, Chile relleno, and a crispy beef taco. So happy to see a new non-chain restaurant in town. Great to sit outside and enjoy some Mexican food. Huge menu with a bar. Couldn't sample a Margarita (on my way to work). Went simple for my first visit; chips & salsa brought to you when sit down. Order ordered a small guacamole, perfect for one person. Thought I would sample their tacos. El pastor with grilled pineapple, mahi mahi taco & grilled shrimp. All were okay. Was looking for more flavor and heat. Service was attentive and courteous, inside was nice and not overly decorated. Checking out others customers plates and the fajitas looked good as a nice size portion. I will definitely be going back soon as this place has been open for only a couple of weeks and my be working out any kinks. I've eaten here in the past & it's been great; this weekend was exactly the same. Very good food, excellent service and decent prices. They have outdoor seating, too! This place was amazing. Went here today for my mom's 60th Birthday. The food was great no one was dissatisfied. I had the chicken and rice dinner and it was soo soo good. Finally got to try this little place in my hometown of Circleville, and I'm so happy to say it was delicious! The other Mexican place nearby is just not good and so eating anything like it meant Chipotle or Taco Bell unless you are cooking! El Pedregal's dishes are full of flavor and fresh ingredients, and their margaritas rock! I have had the chimichanga twice now because it is so good, and have tried their cheese enchiladas which were delicious. Chips and salsa are offered when seated and I cannot stop myself from eating way too many of them. Even the refried beans and rice are very good just on their own! If you live in Pickaway county or are driving through and have a craving for Mexican, bypass the place on 23 and come straight into town to El Pedregal. You won't regret it! read more

My first time here. I was on a motorcycle ride and asked a local for a recommendation for lunch. They recommend El Pedregal. This place was easy to find and parking was convenient. We were greeted a minute or two after walking in. I asked if the outdoor seating was open and or available. We were told it was. We were seated outside and had space for our helmets and gear. The only downside to sitting outside was the traffic making a turn into the alley getting doughnuts from Lindsey's Bakery. It can be a little loud and the exhaust does waft by. The server was friendly and was wearing a mask. Our drink orders were taken and menu's were left. Our drinks arrived very quick. Our food orders were taken and we got our food in 9 minutes. The food arrived hot. I got the Speedy Gonzales lunch special. It came as a enchilada and a hard taco with the choice of beans or rice. The taco was very good, the shell was was nice and crispy and the chicken was seasoned well. The enchilada was ok. It was a corn tortilla and covered with a red enchilada sauce and cheese. The rice was moist and seasoned well. We had a good lunch here and I would recommend. read more

Just opened up so I'm hoping down the road it is a little easier to get a table and service. Waited 40 minutes for a table to seat 7 on a Friday. Not terrible. Got seated and was immediately given chips and salsa, chips were fresh and hot! Waitress was great, very attentive but we could tell she was quite busy. I ordered the Tex Margarita and it did not disappoint. Was charged for a large when I got a small but I'm not stressed about it. Food was delicious and will definitely come back. I'm in town on business for a couple days. Last night I was looking for someplace local and the clerk at the Holiday Inn recommended El Pedregal. I was not disappointed. The food was great. Tonight I started to drive to Columbus for more choices but at the last minute decided to go back to El Pedregal. I got the steak and shrimp and it was great. Huge portion of steak that was tender and cooked perfectly with plenty of shrimp on top. Everything about the meal was good as was the service. The restaurant is clean and well maintained and has spacious areas to sit so you don't feel crowded. Highly recommend! read more

We have we going here once a week since they opened. Usually everything is great, a few times we haven't had a good meal but more often than not its been great. Recently I even nominated them for the best Mexican restaurant in Circleville to the nearby paper for a special they are running on the best of the best. Tonight we went and were grossly overcharged. We went in and they had a new special when you enter $2 off any fajitas. Thats all it said no restrictions. My 2 kids ordered kids meals which includes a drink but they charged an extra $6 for their drinks. The fajitas were not $2 off and I told them no guacamole (allergy) so they charged and extra 99 cents for sour cream which I did not order, I only said the sour cream was fine (comes with sour cream and guacamole) but no guacamole. When I asked the waitress, she took the bill to the front and they stood there (with the female manager pointing at me and talking) so I walked up to the register where they started talking and laughing in Spanish. The manager was incredibly rude. She said my kids were too old to be ordering kids meals that why they charged extra for the drinks. My daughter is 9 and my son is 14 which he has Autism and will only eat the kids meal, We ask every time we order it and its never a problem and it wasn't a problem when we ordered tonight - but now it is. The manager told me I was expecting discount after discount and that most people understand that $2 off fajitas doesn't mean $2 off the bill but I just wasn't getting it. I explained that my son will only eat the one meal and that its about presentation more than anything - and its not offered as an adults meal or we would order it. She said then maybe we shouldn't come. When I tell you she was rude, I mean rude. Like belittled me and was loud. I told her fine charge for my sons drink but why is she charging for the 9 year old's drink? She rolled her eyes and began telling me that was business and again I am expecting discount after discount. In this economy no one call afford to be overcharged and usually this isn't an issue but it was tonight, and when I said something I was basically told we weren't welcome to come back. Truly a shame that the manager who is representing the restaurant treats the customers with such disrespect.Theres 3 other Mexican restaurants in town, We will go to them from now on. read more

This is the worst mexican place Ive ever been too sadly.The burrito I ordered was supposed to be a "chipotle burrito".It came out really plain and had no flavor whatsoever. They also served it with cheap frozen grocery store fries with ketchup packets.Then to top it off the service was bad as well. Took forever to get the check and when my family and I eventually did it was wrong with a bunch of stuff added on that we didnt get making it $40 more than what it should've been. The process to correct the bill was a hassle too.I wouldn't recommend going here. They might try and scam you into paying more than what you got and the food is not good. read more
