Didn't check on us once, I had an empty glass for a half hour, kept on waiting to see her but she was on the kitchen the whole time. Came to El Pescador to celebrate a family member's birthday and had a great experience! To start off, we ordered some alcoholic drinks. The strawberry margarita was so refreshing and had a perfect balance of sweetness to alcohol. For my entree, I ordered the Mr. burrito, which is half pork (green sauce) and beef (red sauce). The burrito was huge and soooo good! It was also less than $15, which is a great deal. The service was wonderful, and they even brought my family member a piece of birthday cake and sang happy birthday. We also liked that there was live music! I gave 4 stars because there weren't any prices on the menu. I usually try to give places the benefit of the doubt, but my recent visit here was extremely disappointing. From the very beginning, the lack of attention was evident -- the staff came across as inattentive and dismissive. To make matters worse, several dishes were served undercooked and poorly prepared, which raised both quality and safety concerns. Overall, this experience showed not only poor service but also a lack of honesty and integrity. For a restaurant to succeed, consistency, transparency, and respect for customers are essential -- unfortunately, none of those were present here. We came to celwbrate my Dad's birthday. The food was delicious and the service was great. I had the Mr. Burrito and it was so good. I liked the red chile more than the green chile. I had a michelada that was also very tasty. They had live music playing which gave the restaurant a fun vibe. Our server was very attentive. As a kid my parents use to bring us here. Last time we came was about 12 years ago... today I remember why we stopped. Very poor service! Waitress was rude and didn't come to check on drinks. Food took over 40 mins to come out for a party of 9. Food was cold and came in different sections. Asked for two sides of rice and brought me the wrong sides twice. There was also an eye lash on the side of sour cream. At the end to top it off from giving her cash and 3 debt cards she charged one twice! If it's Friday night have enough personnel to provide great customer service! Mistakes like that make you upset! Too many for a bill of $300. Been to El Pescador on Atlantic in South Gate and Eastern and this hasn't been a problem before. Food tastes better at these locations and portions are serve about the same.
