To begin, the rice was basmati, the mole sauce for the enchiladas was ground up black beans, no cocoa or spices, and the chicken was flavorless. Just to make things worse, our hostess is waiting for us as we walk in and in a heavy German or Nordic accent instructs us to walk in and as we walk, stop at a podium, quickly take a picture of the menus and then hurry to the back of the restaurant to our table. Very precise and militaristic. Finally, dessert options straight from Costco, Reese's Cheesecake! Next time I am in Vieques I will make a point of avoiding this place. Not for me.

We had some finger food for appetizers: Croquettes and Mozzarella Sticks. Both were quite tasty. Croquettes were satisfyingly crispy stuffed with yummy filling, served with an irresistible sweet and savory sauce. The Mozzarella Sticks had a flavorful crunchy exterior and amazing cheese pull. I ordered the Fried Pork Chop with a side of Yuca Mash with bacon and peppers. The plating was beautiful. This Fried Pork Chop was HUMONGOUS and impressive looking. The meat was tender, oh so juicy, succulent, and well seasoned. It was absolutely delicious! The Yuca Mash didn't have enough pronounced pieces of bacon and peppers throughout, so I wasn't the biggest fan. I was able to sample the Rice and Peas, which was cooked perfectly, fluffy, and wonderful. What a hearty meal! Service was excellent. Of the local breweries, we liked Ocean Lab. To eat, we saw someeone else get the onion dip so we had to also. It was soooo good. The 2nd visit we went after a day of beaching and were happy to be able to use their rinse-off station out front (such a cool idea). To eat, I had a buffalo chicken sandwich and my fiance had the chicken tendies with mac and cheese. All were really good but I think the best entrees at our table were probably the salads but everything was really good.
