It's disappointing to have to leave a bad review for this place because I've been buying chicken here for a long time. However, I've had several bad experiences. On one occasion, I found a piece of wire in my chicken. Another time, the chicken was served raw, and there have also been several times when I wasn't given any tortillas. But the worst part is that lately the chicken doesn't seem fresh. Based on the taste, texture, and appearance, it seems like the chicken is from the previous day and was simply reheated. This continues to be one of my favorites for chargrilled chicken and breakfast burritos. I like them so much better for the flavor and value than the other popular chargrilled franchise. The chicken comes with a mid or lower mid salsa, tortillas, and grilled jalapeños. I don't come for the salsa but I love the grilled jalapeño. The breakfast burrito and the burritos in general are honest and good. They also have ribs, beans, rice, and other items. I wish they opened earlier during the week and stayed open until at least 8:00 or 8:30. read more

Found this place on yelp it was yummy, they have a drive thru which is perfect I order a chicken family meal with rice beans also order a hot like and their chicken flautas which were yummy. The lady helping me out was very nice and friendly I will definitely go back again a try their ribs and carnitas. A friend and I had a terrible experience yesterday with Miguel, the person who took our order. It was $31.60 for two meals and both were delivered incorrectly. Not only did Miguel not fix the problems, he didn't seem to have the capacity to understand why we were complaining. In the process of taking our order, he left off the rice and beans of my friends order and gave the salad I ordered to her. We ordered a side of guac and had to remind him to deliver it. I ordered on DoorDash a Saturday night because I didn't want to order chicken from a franchise I decided on El Pollo Feliz I got the 10 piece with 2 sides which were refried pinto beans and their Mexican rice. They're located in North Highlands and I live in East Sac and it's a 20 minute drive from me despite paying an additional fee of $12 on DoorDash for the distance and tax (not even including a $10 tip) it was over $60 but it was the only place where you could get that amount of food and not feel like you over payed for it. It's my responsibility as a senior Yelper to comment on the many mistakes made on my last order. I ordered two Number 4's (thigh & leg), with flour tortilla and grilled jalapeños. I called in this order and picked it up at the drive thru. Mistake 1: 1 meal had 2 legs instead of thigh and leg. Mistake 2: 1 meal was missing a grilled jalapeño. Mistake 3: tortillas were corn instead of flour. I even re-stated this order before picking it up. I should have double-checked my order, but they have never screwed up my order. I repeat--they have never screwed up my order. I shouldn't have to re-check it. I'll be checking it from now on. I love this place. The food was still good. Waited on hold for ten minutes they completely forgot. So called and called. They have left the phone on the counter for over 45 minutes ? Basic customer service 101. Imagine all incoming orders they lost. Actually I waited 1 hour after calling so many times!!! When we asked to speak to the manager he did offer for free but that's not the point. He just kept making excuses. I waited while I heard them chitchatting there were no customers in line placing orders at the time. Instead of just apologizing he went to straight defensive mode and just started giving excuses. I gave him a chance to make it right and he had the nerve to say that I was black mailing him. How is it black mail when we turned a free discount down???? I already had posted my earlier review showing the phone times. So so how does that make sense? He just kept getting more and more defensive. Just absolutely ridiculous. I've managed Restaurants before and if there was a mistake like that I would have been completely apologetic and made it right. So the girl that answers the phone is incompetent and the manager doesn't know how to run his operation professionally. I've rarely given out negative reviews and obviously this has nothing to do with the food but thought this should be considered because not only do you have a negative review that point out flaws in management and service. They lost money by not picking up the phone for over an hour. If I were the owner I would be pissed. You lost money for being rude and incompetent. I was going to place a $80-90 meal for the whole family so I didn't want a free meal. We are not like that. But as a manger I would have a least offered a free desert just for their mistake. That's what your are supposed to do. I've worked in that business long enough to know not to disrespect customers and to make the happy especially when you are in the wrong. Update: My bf and brother both still wanted to get some either way to try it out bc of al the good reviews. This food sucked. The only thing good was the chicken. The fajitas were crap. And the flan was a disgrace to flan everywhere. Even Hawaiians know how to make better flan. I'm honestly surprised people like this hole in the wall place!!??? It's not in the best side of town, a little hole in the way place but the food is worth the drive. One of my guys at work was retiring and we wanted go get some food for our crew and since we can't serve anything potluck style due to covid we thought burritos was the easiest/safest way to go. I phoned in the order around 9 am for 26 burritos to be picked up at 11:30 am that same day with no problem. We ordered a variety of carnitas, carna asada and pollo. 7 the food so delicious. Each burrito comes with chips and salsa in individual bags. Which made it so much easier to transport and set up at the shop for the crew. The carnitas were not the best but I guess if the restuarant is known for their chicken then definitely just order the chicken from here on out. Lol Asada could use some more flavor but still pretty tasty. They do have other traditional food items like nachos, tacos, enchiladas and bbq meat (ribs and hot links) the ribs are pretty tasty as well. Such a good bbq spot/ Mexican food . Everything here is very good and the owner is such a nice woman. I get the cheese enchiladas, but the chicken is to die for. It's impossible not to drive by and see and smell their chicken cooking outside on the grill . Sometimes could take a while at the drive thru . None the less a very good place to eat at .
