It's raining and I wanted some pozole because it's a comfort thing. I have never been here and found them on DoorDash and let me tell you I will be back several times. The pozole has great flavor the seasoning and and the meat was juicy and perfect! And I love to add rice to mine but I always have to try the rice by itself and yes the rice is so flavorful and delicious by itself! I also ordered 2 tacos one carnitas and one pastor so good everything was delicious even the red salsa they added and I usually do green salsa but the red one was fire!!! I asked for extra green salsa and they did not disappoint they did just that! So service amazing Check them out

Came here to quench my pozole craving. They have small and large - got the small. Glad I did because it's a hefty bowl. Lots of hominy at the bottom with sizable chunks of meat. Doctors it up with sauce and spices to give it a good kick. Will be coming back for another round. Place was pretty empty at 2:15pm and there was some music playing. Food came out quick so don't bother serving myself chips. Get the habenero salsa.

Met up with my boy for breakfast. He's never been here I've never been here so we gave it a go. The place was quiet and pretty empty, actually we were the only ones there. I ordered my go to item like always, breakfast bacon and egg burrito. My boy ordered the chilaquiles. The burrito I'd give it a 2 and a half. It had mozzarella cheese, I prefer cheddar. Thats my bad for not asking. It had no potatoes. The burrito had hella bacon which im not complaining about that, but it looked like they cooked the bacon and egg separately. It just wasnt as good as I'd like. I always try the same breakfast burrito tho. My boy's chilaquiles were hooked up but the thing that I didnt like and this is just from observation is that the chips they used were from store bought chips just like the complementary chips. I like when they have fresh in house chips. They weren't even set up fully yet. We had to wait for the salsa bar and the horchata that I ordered was way too sweet. Had to water it down. I asked my boy what he thought bout the chilaquiles he said he'd give it a 2 and a half as well. If I go back i will for sure stay away from the breakfast burrito and chilaquiles.

We stopped in for breakfast after my hair consultation, located nearby. I ordered the Bacon and Eggs Breakfast Burrito and my hubby and baby split the Steak and Eggs Breakfast Plate. I thought their bacon was very flavorful and hubby and baby enjoyed the shareable breakfast plate! They have an amazing free chips and salsa bar, food is decent, staff friendly, and plenty of seating. 4/5 stars, we will return to try their lunch options! Service was excellent, restaurant was super clean, super fresh salsa and chip bar. I received my order very quick but it was still fresh to order. I had a steak, potato, egg and cheese breakfast burrito and it was the best I've had in a long time. First taqueria is a whole that didn't use French fries for their "potatoes" they used actual potatoes, I will absolutely be back 10/10 highly recommend

On my way home , I'd seen this place and it was about time I stopped by .... - Food was good and plenty - Service was good - Good music Only thing was food was cold ... don't know if I'd make a special trip to come back , but if I'm in the neighborhood I probably would eat here again.

Delicious food, clean and open seating, generous plates, and genuinely kind service--this spot is a win. They had me smiling with the grilled and pickled onions, plus fresh pico that brightened everything up. Portions are huge, prices are fair, and the staff is the kind of friendly that makes you feel welcome right away. We ordered the chilaquiles rojos (flavorful with just the right kick, though the egg was cooked a bit more than I prefer) and a steak breakfast burrito packed with more meat than you usually get--no skimping here. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying. All in all, a great breakfast with plenty to take home. We'll definitely be back for another round.

This was our first time here so we weren't sure what to order. The very friendly, helpful, lovely woman behind the counter explained the food menu to us. My hubby ordered the 3 Quesabirrias (2 goat and 1 beef) and I had the Taco Salad. Everything was fresh tasting, cooked well, and extremely tasty. Their Salsa Bar has approximately 10 items, which include for salsa from mild to extremely hot, delicious guacamole, cactus salsa that's more like jalapeño slices and pico de gallo. The environment is very open several TVs along with art on the wall. In the background is Latin music to add a little ambience. Although we did not know of this place until today, we will definitely be back. It's a little gem slightly hidden by the beautiful trees at the corner of Madison and Garfield Avenues. We'll definitely be back to partake and some other delicious looking items.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant. They have great options for the salsa bar and the food always hits. The staff is friendly and restaurant is clean. I've gotten a little bit of everything over the years and I've never been disappointed.

Each taco had a generous amount of meat, was well-prepared, and tasted fresh. The real game changer, though, was adding the jalapeño cream sauce along with a few salsas from the salsa bar which took the tacos to another level. If I could, I'd give this place 6 stars just for that! Also, I'd recommend the cucumber lime agua fresca drink. It tasted refreshing and the perfect amount of each flavor. Their menu has a great variety of options, and I noticed several people ordering the dinner plates, which looked absolutely massive. I also saw them bring out a sizzling hot skillet that I could hear from a few tables down. You definitely get your money's worth here. The service was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly fast. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, and the salsa bar was fresh, organized, and full of appetizing choices. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

The restaurant had great energy and a fun, buzzy atmosphere. The crowd was a lively mix of people from the Capitol, couples enjoying date night and moviegoers grabbing dinner before or after a show. Unfortunately, the service was lacking during our visit. One of our meals was forgotten and we had to flag down the server to let him know. Our server also wasn't around very often, so it was difficult to get refills or ask for anything we needed. When we requested a specific number of to-go boxes, we weren't given enough and had to get up and ask for additional boxes ourselves. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but I took away 1 star for the lack of service. The service could definitely use some improvement, especially since it wasn't busy when we went. With more attentive service, this could have been a much better dining experience.

They didn't just walk by like frazzled, hurried workers like most restaurants pushing through the crowds. They actually gave me a nice smile and said welcome, and then walked by. And then I got to the reception area found that there was already a pretty big crowd at around the 5:30 PM or so I guess a lot of early birds come to eat there on Sunday. The receptionist asked for how many and said you'd be like a 20 minute wait and there was chairs where people were waiting but it was only like a 15 minute wait. The server was fast with the chips and salsa and ice water and then soon the waiter came and took my order. He was really quick and witty, fun to talk to. What I really enjoyed was as the noise of the table Near quieted down and they left. I saw a young man cleaning up the table and getting it ready for the next group of people. He was dressed really nice and had a tie on. Having been in restaurants most of my life I said to myself, I bet you he works with the owners or something. And I said to him, are your related to people that own the place ? he said my parents own this place. He was very friendly and polite. He told me a tiny bit about the restaurant and how everything had been since 1970, much older than he was, he was only a sophomore in high school I think. I never really got his name, but I was kind of proud of him because he was working hard at his family's restaurant. I ordered probably something bigger than I could eat because I had to take leftovers home, but it was really a tasty meal, and they're coming out with more chips and salsa without being asked, probably didn't help as well as a second lemonade. It's really impressive when you have a well oiled machine and it appeared to me that the people that worked there seem to be happy so that's always a good sign of good management. Several years back, I worked in the restaurant industry doing maintenance and repairs so I went to a lot of different restaurants and saw a lot of things so I know what to look for. I'm definitely gonna come back when my brother and his wife come up from the Bay Area my friend Ivan he'll wanna go there for lunch or dinner I know. He's kind of a picky eater and was born in Mexico, but I think he'll be impressed with this place.
