    monster burrito and ninos bowl

I've been to Nino's the past two days in a row, and the food just keeps getting better and better! The staff is always amazing, and the food tastes fresh every single time. It's hands down the best Mexican food in the Yakima Valley. I've been coming here for over ten years, and it never disappoints.

The friendliness and quickness to your order are wonderful

The fresh handmade tortillas are the best. The take the dough and flatten it and cook it right in front of you.

So good I had to get two

Quite literally the best Mexican food I have found anywhere. Their homemade flour tortillas are the best I've ever had. I wish I had the recipe.

The second rendition of an amazing song is always welcome - that's why we're so stoked about Ninos 2.0! The place is located in Westpark shopping center which means it's way closer for anybody in the West Valley and Yakima areas. For us in Yakima, there's a big sense of pride in the fact that our Mexican food here is some of the best anywhere! A couple years ago a chipotle in town closed down, And while it's never exciting to see somewhere shut, those of us that had tried Ninos knew that they were the main reason for the closure. For those who haven't been here, think chipotle but local and a lot better! They've got the same amazing food options here, including the grande burrito which is about the size of my seven-year-olds thigh! The lines are often long, but they move people through quickly and it seriously is worth any wait! The meat is ever delicious and the topping are fresh and plentiful. The guacamole is solid as are the salsas, which come in hot, medium and mild (the medium res is awesome!) The kids always enjoy the multiple Fanta options as well. The seating consists of colorful tables with room for about 50 people. This place is boss! Anyone who's been there is going to really stoked to have another location closer than Union Gap. If you're thinking of going, you should go!

10/10 from two native Los Angelinos who know authentic Mexican food. The Vampiro tacos were amazing and so was the horchata. Note you do have to wait a while in line to order but it's worth it.

Came here on a Saturday at about 230 pm. No wait in line. Ordered a torta, monster burrito, carne asada plate and carne asada fries. Horchata was also very good. Since they let you add unlimited toppings like chipotle. it is a very good bang for your buck. My torta was hugeee. And everything was loaded with all the works. Highly recommend if you're in the area and super hungry. They also made their tortillas fresh and hot.

Nino's fills the Chipotle shaped hole in my heart in a city that's missing a Chipotle. No, it doesn't taste the same, but in some ways it's better. For starters, they have a delicious array of goodies (veggies, cheeses, sauces, limes, radishes ) to add to your food. But what really does it for me is their fresh tortillas. They make them to order and they're soooo worth it! Soft, flaky, and flavorful. I'm often disappointed by food in Yakima, but Nino's delivers every time.

Nino's is great. Happy to have one in west valley. The couple of negative reviews I saw on here are uncalled for.

It's the subway of Latin food. Better than Taco Bell, but not as good as authentic restaurants like La Guadalupana in Harrah.

Great vegetarian options in Yakima!…read more Quality: most vegetarian and Mexican places only give you rice beans and tomatoes as an option. These guys have well seasoned, actual vegetables and plentiful options that don't just seem like a taco with meat missing, butt seem like a complete food option. I got the potato tacos and the veggie burrito and both were very well done. So potatoes needed a little salt, but nothing that I couldn't fix at the table. Quantity: i'm a big guy and I eat a lot. But even I could only finish one taco and half a burrito. massive quantity! Price: $13 for a burrito that can feed 2! Ambiance: standard Mexican decor. It was clean and outdoor dining was available.

They brought out refreshing cups of water, chips and 6 types of salsa, while we reviewed the menu. The "chips" are actually whole corn tortillas fried! So you use them whole or break them into chips yourself. My guess on the salsas are: salsa verde (tomatillo), avocado, pico de gallo, a smoky ancho, a citrusy habanero, and something else. They all had distinct flavors and a little light spice, but we wanted spicier. They brought out the "no way Jose" sauce and warned us it's their spiciest and it sneaks up on ya! We tried it and found it was not burning but quite nice. We drizzled this sauce all over our food. It was the most flavorful of the bunch. The menu is quite extensive, with everything from sopas to sopes, tortas to tacos, cocktails to desserts. We each got a plate of food, meaning the main entree comes with Mexican red rice and refried beans. I got the sopita (aka sope) with barbacoa and a fish taco and husband got a dipped torta (I forget the name) filled with adobada. The amount of food and meat was quite generous, the toppings (veggies) too. I really enjoyed my sope - it had the perfect crispy crust and I could taste the slightly sweet creamy taste of the masa. The barbacoa was not as flavorful as I thought it would be. It was more like stewed beef meat. It was fine but I was expecting really deep flavor. The fish taco seemed freshly grilled and was moist, but there was a bit of a "fishy" smell and flavor that kind of took over. Thankfully, the generous veggie toppings and fresh handmade corn tortilla and salsas helped mask the flavor. Have to hand it to them that those tortillas are really good! The Mexican rice was perfect. I haven't had that flavor and texture in Mexican rice in a while and thought that was well done. The refried beans were good but also had a flavor I couldn't place my finger on... My husband said everything was really good on his plate. His torta was massive! Really flavorful and stacked with things. The adobada was very tasty. I wish I ordered that meat instead of the barbacoa and fish. Overall pretty good Mexican food, generous portions, really sweet service. The interior is also really clean and nicely decorated. They have a small parking lot out back.

The staff is friendly and efficient, which makes it an ideal spot for a relaxed lunch. The restaurant is medium sized with adequate parking out front, and if things get busy, there's plenty of overflow in the adjacent Fred Meyer lot. The restaurant is in the middle of the strip mall just north of Fred Meyer. My spouse ordered the Avocado Tostada, which was generously sized and clearly delicious--he ate more than usual. It came with rice and refried beans, both well prepared. I used to order the Cheese/Onion Enchilada plate, which includes two enchiladas plus rice and beans, and I'd always end up taking half home (never quite the same reheated). Since my appetite is smaller, I now ask for just one cheese/onion enchilada on its own. The staff never blinks at the request, and my husband happily shares a bit of his refried beans with me. My meal was perfection. Definitely worth checking out. It's not the most extraordinary Mexican food in the area, but it's always very good--better than we can make at home--and that's why we keep coming back.
