Wow! We have been here several times over the years and forget about it because it's in a strip mall but once you go inside, you immediately forget that! So there is a crazy parking lot but the location is great, food is great, service super!! Large and comfortable booths. Super private bar in the very back (with its on enclosure). I was super excited to grab food out tonight and found this strip mall establishment in lynden I ordered the super nachos with beef to go.. comes with the basic fixins got home and was extremely pissed it was a pile of the worst hamburger grease on chips I've ever had... half cup of grease in the bottom of the to-go box I ate a few bites and have been in agony ever since hey good tip for your restaurant if you're listening don't use sub par ingredients that are old and on their way out they make us sick i won't feed the other 3/4 of a meal I have here to my dogs nor recommend this to anyone read more

This sucked. The food was beyond disgusting. We waited only 7 minutes for our food to come out. The plates were boiling hot to the touch. I had ordered a expresso burrito, it came out with a strange green sauce all around it and it had a weird stretchy film on it. It had chicken and rice in it, which both tasted like they came out of the can. My boyfriend ordered a chicken enchilada, and it was a sad excuse for an enchilada. It was wet, and also tasted like it came out of a can. I took one bite of it and almost puked, i had no idea how my boyfriend was able to eat at least 3/4ths of it. He mustve been forcing himself too to make the waiter feel better about himself. Both of our food looked like it had been eaten by someone else and then puked up onto our plates. Tasted like it too. When we were ready to pay, the waiter brought out two tiny dessert which consisted of a tortilla chip and a spoonful of mango ice cream or something of that sort. It also had whipped cream on it. Assuming the waiter gave it to us because he could see we did not enjoy the food. This sucked ass. Don't go here. If you want good Mexican, go to Cancun its just down the road. Large table... I ordered carne asada tacos. Several others ordered carne asada entrees with beans and rice. Their meat looked like jerky, cooked hard, curled up and over done. My carne asada tacos were not marinated, no salsa verde, onions, jalapenos or sliced radishes. The carne asada tacos I had were the same dried out meat only chopped up. Not marinated or seasoned, plain overdone meat on a tortilla. Friendly service, good pico de gallo and salsa. I managed to eat everything except for some of the beans and rice, so there was plenty of food (for me). Twice I've ordered a pina colata, twice they have been out of pina colata's. They use canned jalapeños in the pico and canned tomato sauce in the salsa. I wish they would use fresh ingredients. Used to be one of the hottest places in town. Every weekend night would be packed with customers. Tables of huge groups, if you were celebrating then you usually went here. Now when I go here it's always very quiet, not many people at all, and the staff seems very complacent. It's the same family since day one and honestly you get the feeling that they are just sick and tired of doing the same thing. They also can be over the top checking on you when it's slow. We were asked 10 times if everything was ok in a 15 minute time frame. It was ridiculous. I like that they give you small complimentary dishes - the tortilla chips at the beginning (hey, they didn't have to) and the sweet flour tortillas with chopped strawberries on top at the end. My dish was alright - not absurdly good, not horrendous. I do want to mention that the lettuce appeared to be this cheap, vaguely inedible coleslaw that I thought I could only find on Korean fast food side dishes, in Korea. And the avocados were..definitely not their specialty. I do not have complaints, though, about their shrimp or mushrooms, which is what I had. I give this a so-so. read more
