Have to raise it to 5 stars. Whenever i need something good and close to home this is where I head. My favorites are the enchiladas and Camarones a la Mexicana (shrimp mexican style). Usually a meal and a mexican soda average $10 and will keep you full for the most of the day. I doubt people will trek in from Manhattan for it, but if your at Brooklyn College or shopping at Target it's worth a trip down here. read more

Do you live in the culinary wasteland of Flatbush avenue? Are you tired of fast food, Caribbean food, Chinese food, repeat? Well then high five because you got real Mexican food in your hood. Honestly, I don't know anything about the real Mexico. I only know about border crossings, drug wars, Cancun beaches, and Tijuana whores. But this place just feels authentic, not Chipotle or Qdoba or Taco Bell (just vomited a little). They have Mexican dishes besides tacos (their's come with radishes), burritos, and quesadillas. They have Mexican staff and cooks ... okay that means nothing but it just makes you feel better than when they're making Pizza. They have Mexican customers (apologies if they were Guatemalans).They have Spanish TV playing. You might've thought Transformers sucked in English but it's awesome when the robots speak Spanish and you can't tell how bad the dialogue is. This might all be a magnificent ruse by a tricky white man so some Gringos think they're eating true Mexican food, but I don't care because the shit taste good. read more

I have to say, the one thing that holds me back from ordering here more regularly is the $4 delivery charge, but that being said, damn this place is good! This is the best breakfast joint ever. I have only ever ordered from here, so I cannot say what it's like there, but man, I love my huevos rancheros con arroz y garbanzos. :) They have an awesome menu full of really great food. Great prices and delivery time. They're open relatively late so you can call in orders, order online or go to the location. Food is always good. Rarely a miss with them and I've been ordering for years. Delivery can be stressful during busy times like weekends but they're pretty prompt. This place is a mediocre restaurant with terrible customer service. I called them to check on my order and they said they had delivered it & when I expressed that I hadn't received it the counter woman told me she was going to check with her delivery person. I didn't hear back for 10 minutes and decided to call back. Instead, she just let the phone ring and go to voicemail. That's totally unprofessional considering that the least she could do was pick up the phone and inform me that my order had been cancelled. This is close to the best Mexican food I have had in New York. If you look at the reviews, the complaints concern "service" or gringo-fare. You wouldn't order gumbo at a New York pizza joint, so don't order a burrito here. The pozole was great and the cemitas amazing. Also, remember that Mexican culture is more formal than the French. Last time there was a $30 minimum, which we were going to cover anyway. But a $40 delivery minimum? We are .9 miles away. First and last time ordering from this place. We ordered, Mexican chicken, rice with black beans, super nachos, and wings with fries. Free lemonade was included. Delivery took 1.5 hours. Food was all cold and cheese on nachos had not been melted. Wings had no flavor, and the fries were soggy. Mexican chicken dish was mostly tasteless watered down tomato sauce with floating pieces of onions and peppers and 3 thin strips of chicken. Even the free lemonade lacked flavor. I was staying at my sister's and craving tacos when I found this place. Me and my family agree that these are the best Mexican street-style lengua tacos that we've had! They pay more attention to their delivery and take out orders than they do to their customers who are sitting in the restaurant. They make you wait a very long time to place your order, they make you wait a long time to get your food, they make you wait a long time to get your check and they make you wait a long time to even pay the check...all because they are ALL paying attention to the orders going out the door. I am a big fan of authentic Mexican food, and this place has the right idea, but it's very poorly executed. I haven't had a worse cemita in my entire life. Before even biting into it, I peeled back the roll to reveal a grey piece of chicken which all the breading had mysteriously seperated from to attach itself to the roll. The smell was of spoiled meat and the color of the chicken itself was hideous and beyond saving. I think this place can be saved, but only by Kitchen Nightmares, and sadly that show is no longer on the air. read more

Delivery was SUPER QUICK! Maybe because I live down the block lol, but with that being said the food was VERY COLD as if it was pre-made, and sitting in a fridge already. The Burrito had a very strange taste and smelled like burnt rubber. That was a very funky burrito. The top of the burrito was dry and had sour cream drizzled on top as if it was a cake topping, and when you pick up the burrito the bottom was wet, soggy, and mushy. I had to throw that away. I've ordered from this place a zillion times over the last year. I'm very picky when it comes to Mexican food. This place is truly delicious and perfectly affordable. Ordering on Seamless was well...seamless. The one time they forgot salsa they immediately delivered it without question and offered to refund my money but I love them so much I didn't want them to. This is an honest review... The food tastes pretty good, but it's always cold and late. My last order took 2 hours and a second phone call to rectify. Sour cream was drizzled on food before delivery which made the food soggy, and inedible to one member of my family. They are very inconsistent on this, as occasionally items like sour cream are on the side. Today they provided the wrong pico de gallo (it was mostly raw jalapeño and reduced size) and included tartar sauce???? For a $60 meal, I expect warm food and all the appropriate sides... $5 for tacos is way too much and $9 for nachos that have no cheese is a rip. There are far better values with great service in the area... I've been living in the area for over a year now and I honestly love this place. I consider myself as a regular there. I bring all my friends and family because I love it so much. I either go in to eat, get something delivered or even call in ahead of time to have food ready to pick up on my way home from work. I usually order the same food and drink items because I know what to expect. That being said, I was utterly disappointed with the food and service I received the other day. My sister and I were there for breakfast and because she's a vegetarian she only ordered eggs and waffles. But what she received were eggs over cooked and waffles, probably Eggos, that were obviously from the freezer as they were hard. She was too shy to say anything but left almost everything on the plate. As for our server, he should have asked why she didn't eat the food or what the problem was. It just seemed like there was no concern for the way food got prepared or delivered and whether the customer was enjoying the food. As I said before, I am a regular. I don't expect special treatment but what I expect is food that is edible, that was made by the chef, not something that was pre-packaged from the freezer and great service especially to a returning customer. I was really shocked with the lack of concern for a returning customer. I hope this review helps them better their food and service. Again, I do love this place and I will go back because as I said I love their food and their prices are great, but it only takes a mistake like mine to make a person not want to return. read more

No this is no Chipotle and while I love Chipotle, Mexican themed fast food is way different than real Mexican food. This was excellent and pretty inexpensive. Really hot salsa, really good tortilla chips. Veggie burrito was also good although I did find a whole piece of lime in it that I bit into much to my chagrin. I'm torn on the environment. On one hand, it clearly catered to the kind of people who come here because they miss their home country and this is the closest thing they can find. My husband and I order from this place all the time, we love it. The mexican food is on point, the elote is DELICIOUS, even their burgers are good. So why the 3 stars? We ordered last night and I wasn't in the mood for mexican so I got the Ranchito Snacker, which consists of chicken fingers, buffalo wings, onion rings, shrimp basket, mozzarella sticks and french fries. What arrived was a styrofoam container filled to the brim with all this stuff mixed together. However there were only 2 mozzarella sticks and both were empty inside, so it was just the fried outside. The shrimp are absolutely tiny and there was more crust than shrimp. The fries tasted off as well. There was only 1 chicken finger which was okay and at least the 3 pieces of buffalo wing and the onion rings tasted good. I went early Saturday afternoon and there were about 3 or 4 other parties so I was attended right away. I used a restaurant.com certificate with no issue. The young man and lady at the bar were very friendly. The food was flavorful and won me back to Mexican cuisine. I hope to go back soon. I have no idea where cooking like this was hiding during my visit to Mexico. Whenever i feel a cold coming their spicy chicken soup is an awesome remedy. When the BF and i lived across the street we would eat there every day sometimes twice a day. I used to order from this place religiously, at least twice a week. The food seemed great! Salads not as good though. I would order salads here and there from them and always had to sift out the parts that were no good. One day, I ordered a garden salad with my burrito because I felt for veggies, and I was not surprised that I had to remove the pieces of lettuce that were wilted and brown, I ended up tossing the entire salad after finding the bottom was covered in tiny fruit flies. When I called to get what I ordered I waited over an hour for my replacement meal. Once it arrived, the cheese wasn't melted and the meal was still cold. Never again.
