It's my first time ever going to the dry cleaners by myself as an adult so I had to google beforehand lol. It's not overly complicated--you go in, tell them you're dropping off, and they'll tell you whether they need to charge you extra for material that needs special care. I was greeted by a very sweet Korean auntie who was working the shop by herself. I felt bad coming in 20 mins before closing but figured it was okay since the point of the dry cleaners is for you to drop it off anyway. She inspected my gf's suede and pleather jacket and said those two she'd have to charge $65 for but then bumped it down to $45 each. I got on the phone with my gf to ask if that was okay, but she changed her mind. So then I told the lady it was okay, to just dry cleaners the other 2 jackets that were more straightforward. She was very sweet, she let me know that her niece (I think her name was Jeen) was going to be working on Thursday and to ask her if I could get a discount for the suede and pleather jacket. I told her thank you and paid with credit card. The subtotal was $31.50 for the two jackets and with the fee, total was $32.60. Like a previous review said--she didn't warn beforehand of the 3.5% credit card fee but it's to be expected of a mom and pop place. I'm not incredibly upset about that. Been going here for years and have never had an issue. Great service along with some of the best quality of dry cleaning in the area. Prices are fair and competitive. Family owned so this business prides itself on customer service and repeat clients. Happy to count myself as one of them. They do alterations, repairs, hat cleaning, shoe cleaning and much more. I can't say enough good things about this dry cleaner! I came in with a shirt that had a small rip on the side and asked if they could sew it. Not only do I regularly use them for dry cleaning--which is always excellent--but they went above and beyond this time. They took care of the alteration right then and there! I ran a couple of errands nearby, and by the time I came back, the repair was already done and looked perfect. Their service is fast, friendly, and professional. The worst place to get your things cleaned. First time I give a chance but now the second time and both of my shoes came back damaged. To me if your unsure how to clean a brand name shoes maybe this is not the business you should be in definitely need to be out of business. If you want your stuff damaged come here they're a professional to get things all damaged for you and doesn't say a word to the customer either they give you back and put in a nice bag just looks like it's clean, but once you open it you can see for your self. I've worked at a dry cleaners and never did this happen. If there was anything less then perfect customer was made aware of it with a reason why. Some Garments can be difficult but these are normal every day garments. I spent over $200 paid in advance and this is just some of what I got back with no explanation of why. I brought in a pair of shorts for alteration, the person helping me was rather curt, but she said they would have them done in time for my trip, so I didn't pay that much mind. They charged me up front and didn't mention a 3.5% credit card fee, then canceled my order two days later saying they couldn't do it with zero explanation. No other place was able to do the alteration in time, so the time they wasted ruined my plans. And the 3.5% credit card fee wasn't refunded when they refunded me after their cancelation. I brought in a king comforter to have cleaned. She was very open about the possible issues with cleaning this comforter, as the type of fill can bunch and it didn't have us much stitching as she was used to seeing to keep it all in place. Took a dress (and several other items) in for dry clean. No stains when dropped off but had a nice little note that I saw after I picked up saying certain stains could not be removed without damaging the clothing. I repeat NO STAINS WHEN I DROPPED OFF. So now, perfectly good, expensive dress is now ruined because it has some permanent stain that takes over the whole front middle part of the dress. read more

When I made my first visit here I was a bit shocked by their prices compared to what was used to. They do good work and all but alterations are done on site. Every time I visit this dry cleaners, I walk away a happier person. The owners are the happiest, kindest people!! Plus, they do a great job. More often than dry cleaning, I have them take care of all of my alterations. I am short, and always have to get like a half foot chopped off my pants and a few inches taken off the sleeves of my jackets. Joann never makes me feel bad that I don't know how to sew on a button or stitch a hole in a shirt. They do an amazing job. The lady who works the front desk was very rude. I asked her to help me take newly cleaned pants that was stuck on hangar with a clip I couldn't get off so I could fold it to put in a suitcase. I have hand disabled and cannot grasp clothes pins or clips. She was very mean and said " A 5year old could do that!" I asked her if she really just said that to me and she said yes. I'm giving two stars because they do good laundry service and dry cleaning. But they have definitely lost my business. I've been patronizing this place for over 10 years. But not after being made fun of and being insulted. I usually only post good ratings on yelp. But this was so insulting after over a week i still hurt by her rude behavior. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would! I took 3 items for alterations and they failed to take my number so when they had questions I wasn't reachable. I was very detailed in what i wanted during drop off. When I went to pick up my items nothing was completed and they blamed me for not providing a phone number- which again they never asked. The owners are super friendly, and my clothes always look great. They usually find minor repairs and missing buttons themselves and fix them free of charge. They usually do a good job with cleaning, but last week I left a work uniform (pants and shirt), and additional work shirt, and a pair of suit pants to be cleaned, grabbed my slip and headed out. When I went to pick up I got my uniforms, but no suit pants. I asked the lady at the front and she pointed to my slip, which noted 3 items dropped off. After figuring out that they hadn't checked in my pants and I didn't notice, I asked where they could be. She continually pointed to the three items on the slip and said, "I don't know what you want me to do." She kept repeating that as I insisted that I dropped them off and asked where they would end up if they didn't have a tag. Eventually she just looked at me and said, "Why are you doing this to me!" What the hell?! I'M the one missing expensive pants that I need next week. I continued to get the same response to every logical question (Where would an item end up if it had no tag? Who WOULD know where they are?) - "I don't know what you want me to do" and "you should have checked your tag." Eventually she walked around the corner and came out with a pair of suit pants, which I confirmed were mine. She said they didn't know who they belonged to because the didn't have a tag. Amazing! If only I had thought to ask if they had anything that wasn't tagged ... wait, that's exactly what I asked, several times. I was happy to get them back and paid for the cleaning, but why did it take what was becoming a heated argument to get to that point!? Even as I paid and left she was still BLAMING ME for not checking their work. ZERO customer service or accountability - a shame, now I have to find another cleaner. read more

I have been going to El Rancho Cleaners in West Sacramento for years! I will never go again! They are under a different ownership. The previous owners were great and nice, I had alterations, etc. My comforter on my bed requires dry cleaning which I have been doing since 2008. Well my last visit under the new ownership washed it. The badding is in all the corners. I went back and they said I brough it in that way, not an I'm sorry or anything. I will never go back again, I loved my comforter, pillow shams and matching window coverings. read more
