Originally gave a 5 star review but had to edit after a few customer service issues and they lost me as a customer a few months ago. A few times in a row, they complained how I brought my dirty work shirts in. At first, they complained I didn't roll my sleeves down all the way before dropping them off. The next time, I made sure my sleeves were rolled down and the guy got snippy and now had an issue with me bringing my shirts In on their old hangers. Instead, he wanted me to bring hangers back in their own stack, shirts in a hamper bag with sleeves rolled down. After that, I said forget it and found someone else. Went in and asked about possibly adding elastic stretch to my son's new pants. The guy helping me basically said he can help talking to me im stupid. Then said maybe my son should loose weight. I found that very rude and disrespectfu completely unacceptable and uncalled for. I actually used this cleaners before and had a pleasant experience with an older lady. Short version: this dry cleaners damaged white shorts, attempted to fix, lost shorts/gave to the wrong client, and now refused to reimburse for the cost of shorts. Full version: My husband brought my white designer dress shorts to be dry cleaned. Upon getting the shorts home I noticed the fabric was discolored - it turned a dingy gray color. The shorts had a matching belt so my husband returned to the dry cleaners and showed the owner the color difference. The owner indicated that white clothing will sometimes become discolored but that he'd try to get the color as close to the original color/matching belt. My husband returned a couple weeks later and the owner said he couldn't find the shorts and he must have given it to another client but instructed my husband to return in several weeks in hopes whoever he gave the shorts to would realize they had the wrong shorts. My husband returned over month later and the shorts are still missing so at this point my husband asked to be reimbursed for the shorts and the owner refused claiming "he doesn't do that." He told my husband he would give us a dry cleaning credit worth half of what the shorts cost which was $223 before tax. We do not want a credit because the dry cleaner damaged the shorts and then he lost it and subsequently will not pay to replace the shorts. Terrible business practices and no accountability for damaging the shorts and the misplacing it altogether. We will not return to this place. read more

I want to express my disappointment with the service I received this establishment. I brought a blazer in for cleaning, and upon paying the $14.95 cleaning fee, I inadvertently failed to inspect the garment thoroughly before leaving. Upon later inspection, I discovered several stains. I returned the blazer to their attention, explaining the situation. I understand that sometimes mistakes occur, but I was unconvinced by the suggestion that the stains resulted from wear after the cleaning. I know for sure that the stains original pick up because they were unable to remove any of the stains after "cleaning it." I paid and lost $14.95 for nothing. read more

If I could give a zero-star review for customer service, I would. Saw the reviews and thought okay, it's a little far for me, but let me call to see if they can even help me out before I make the drive. Called and explained to the lady what happened to my dress, and her response was, "What do you want?" in a rude tone. Service has been excellent in the past but not today. I came in to get my pants hemmed for my sisters wedding and needed a rush job because my wife noticed they weren't when I tried them on for her(No clue how I missed that a month ago when they arrived). She said she was busy and it would be two weeks and I asked if their was an extra fee I could pay to get them done as soon as possible. She proceeded to get very rude and lost control of her emotions reiterating the fact that she was very busy and pointed to a pile of clothes. She's obviously associated with ownership and comfortable being rude to people asking reasonable questions. I'll drive further and go to the seamstress by Safeway on Del Paso from here on out...They have not freaked out about appropriate questions yet. read more

LOVE their service and prices!!! I dropped off a stained white jacket here and they wouldn't give it back to me until they tried to treat it a couple more times to make sure that they got the coffee stain out.... all for $7!! I couldn't believe how affordable this place is. No wonder the first time I came people were bringing trash bags full of clothes. Pick up date and times are flexible; not that I ever needed anything right away but I'm glad they ask. They also do alterations..woot woot!! For $10 :) Not a bad price at all. Especially since I buy really nice jeans on sale and since I'm short always have to get them tailored. Definitely the place for me to get anything dry cleaned or tailored. read more

I needed to get some buttons sewn on my daughters school uniform dress, so I called here to see if they could do it. I explain that I have the buttons to the lady that answered the phone, without even finishing my sentence the rude woman raised her voice at me and said " 4 buttons it's too much work, we don't do uniform buttons" I explained they are plain buttons. She yelled this time and said "I already told you we don't do uniform" and hung up. I am not shocked anymore at how customer service is truly dead. Cleaning and pressing are pretty top notch here. I am usually wary of pickups from dry cleaners since I always wonder how worn or crappy the job is when I get the chance to put on my threads. I often times visit a place a couple times only to never visit them again. So far so good! My red shirts are still red, and the white shirts actually came out.... white!?!?! Yes my fellow Yelpers. Things sometimes come out the way they are supposed to. I usually ask for extra starch since I like the crisp look, and so far they have yet to fail me in their starching prowess. the worst dry cleaner in california and possibly the planet. i just got back my $350 crate and barrel quilt with a 12 inch rip in it!!!!! this comes after today i brought in another blanket to be cleaned when the owner suddenly launches into a long speech about how my things will become his property to sell if i dont pick up in 60 days. i was so shocked that all i could think he was referring to was a shirt that got left there for at least 90 days because when i came back to get it after a few days they. had. lost. my. gd. shiiiirrrttt!!!!! now i'm home and find this tear!! i'm going to be waiting at their door tomorrow morning to rescue my $600 down comforter! read more

The lady here at Fresh cleaners repaired the tear for free, and as a result, she'll have my business as long as I live in the area. This is a review about their customer service, I went in today to ask about getting some shirts altered and was properly educated by the gentlemen who was working there. Rather than just take my money and work on my over sized shirts I haven't worn in years due to them being too large, he explained to me things such as measurements, fabric material, and different brands of shirts and what to look for in buying shirts so that I have a stronger base to start my wardrobe up right. The prices for alterations seemed fair and competitive for dress shirts. While I was in there a few customers walked in and he knew each of them on a first name basis. They seemed to be pleased with bringing their clothes there to be serviced as well. I will definitely have to return once I get properly fitted shirts to have cleaned and serviced. read more

I've never had trouble with Fresh Cleaners. Most of the time, I'm here to drop off suits that I need cleaned for some occasion or the other. If I drop them off early and don't need them back so soon, they give me a 10% discount. My wife occasionally gets her Indian outfits and jeans altered here too. I was a little worried about using this place based on other reviews. I went in because it is close to me. All I needed was my wife's wedding dress cleaned and boxed away. The gentleman at the register was really friendly and said a certain service was included with cleaning and not extra (which other places said I'd be charged an extra $40) for. I went in on a Wednesday and he said to go back in two weeks. I received a call about 9 days later being told it was ready. The dress is boxed away in a nice looking display. They do a very poor job with the cleaning. Buttons always broken, lots of stains they cannot remove or ignore. With all that they still manage to slap me with a hefty bill. I don't care how green they are if the clothes are still dirty. Might as well soak them in water and hang them, not even detergent - can't get greener than that. read more

Great dry cleaner. Really friendly -- the nice lady whose name I don't know always has a smile of recognition for me when I come in, and it's not as though I've been coming there for years, I've only been there about 5 times. Also, they give you a bag with your customer number on it, and you just keep your dry cleaning in there and then take it over, and they figure out who you are easy as pie. Makes them less likely to lose your stuff. And if you drop off at the same time as you are picking up, like I do, you don't have to worry about keeping track of your receipt because they just look at your bag. Never been to another dry cleaner that does this, but I really like it. And one more thing: they got a huge, splotchy tea stain out of a silk shirt. Bonus points. read more

Buyer beware!!!! I brought in a plain cotton strapless black dress for cleaning. I asked the lady how much and she pointed to my receipt/claim check that stated one price. One week later I return to pick up my item and the young lady working says im sorry, just a moment, then calls a guys from the back and says did you charge her the wrong price? He says oh yes, we thought thay you were bringing in pants and this is a dress so the price is double. Double?? For a cotton dress? I brought the dress in alone no bag and no additional garments. I showed him my claim check with price quoted, and he said yea but we put in the wrong item type. My question is how is that my fault??? Well I go back to my car to retrieve more money and when I come back he offers to take a mere dollar off my newly inflated total... smh if you choose this cleaners check your receipts and if I had more time I would have insisted on only paying the amount on my claim check. If it is the businesses error, for the benefit of customer retention and referrals you would think they would do the right thing. Well I WILL NOT be returning nor referring ANYONE to this establishment!!! Read the reviews that arent recommended! I brought a comforter in, the woman behind the counter was so rude. She told me since it has a tear it could get worse with dry cleaning. I know they do alterations (I've had pants hemmed there before). I asked for her to fix it then dry clean. She said "no, this is old and worn better to by a new one." My comforter is not old. I am offended. Insulting customers and customers who live less than a minute away is no way to run a business. I will not return and they lost my business forever. Two stars = "Meh. I've experienced better." My clothes were fine, but this isn't hard to do. You take your clothes to one cleaner, and you've pretty much been to all. The only thing that sets places like this apart is the service/staff. The man who helped me at this location was short, and borderline rude. I *was* going to have a few outfits dry-cleaned and tailored here, but after a few exchanges with him, I decided that I would take my business somewhere else. I still left him a few garments that I needed by the next day, but I did it only out of necessity. My advice: go some place where your business feels appreciated. read more
