This is a fairly small park, but I enjoy it. Occasionally we will come down here and do the full distance between El Rancho and Central Park. If you start all the way to Denni street, and work your way to Valley View street, you will have completed the walk through both parks. If you do the whole round trip it will be around 3.4 miles. The side of El Rancho has more of a scenic view, but it's shorter. There are more trees, shade, grass, etc. It also has a few small playground sections and a few exercise beams and such. I may have to try those out soon. I have not tried them out yet. Be careful when you go as we have ran into the same lady twice asking us what religion we are while immediately trying to tell us what religion we should be. Whether or not you answer she will ramble the same speech. It's robotic and annoying. You will have to cross several main streets between the parks. There are signals and they change quick for the pedestrians to continue. Besides that, most of the people are friendly and say good morning, or keep to themselves. Most of us are there for the same things. Exercise, quiet, or exercise for both you and your pups. It's a nice little stop to come to once in a while as there aren't many nearby me.

El Rancho Verde Park is a perfect little small park for a walk, to take the young'uns or pets or to simply get in some leisurely exercise. El Rancho Verde is connected to the La Palma Central Park via a signal and features a nice sidewalk walking path that branches off in several directions (ultimately leading back to one), a couple playgrounds for the kids, some benches, a full exercise area with multiple stations scattered throughout and plenty of photo op areas. I often come here simply to walk as when connected with the Central Park trail you can get in a couple of miles in overall length. I also love some of the small workout stations for sit ups, pull ups, ring work and much more. You will often see many other people with small children or pets walking throughout and everyone is very polite that we have run into with the exception of the preachy Christian lady who insists on trying to recruit people for her cause. Religion is a touchy subject for most and I do not disclose what my beliefs are and I suggest that others do the same as it only takes approaching the wrong person to turn a simple question into a situation you may not want. If you are looking for a place to get in a little bit of walking, exercise or just want some fresh air this is a decent place to come. For those who want more I suggest linking your running/walking with the connecting Central Park for a much more thorough experience as they feature athletic fields, BBQ areas and much more than can extend your stay. I will continue to come here to get in some exercise as we do not have many parks close to home that I feel comfortable frequenting.

A great park to read a book or exercise as it is empty pretty much the whole day. Since it is a small park, it's clean and well maintained - not a lot of trash left from parties during the weekend. There are limited seating with few benches and a small play area for the kids. I would not advice visiting at night or jogging by yourself it is empty compared to other parks with little lighting. Parking is small as well - parking is located in the neighborhoods on the street and not on an actual parking lot.

    Nice little gardens.

They took over a giant covered outdoor area with a ton of picnic tables, clean and open and perfect for a large party (I assume they had to rent this). I've been to a lot of parks over the years, and most of them don't have comparable event spaces. The one disadvantage was that we were far away from the playground, much to the chagrin of my three-year-old, who kept demanding to leave the party in favor of the play structure he saw in the distance. Liberty Park is just a huge place with several different zones. We even switched parking lots once we got there and figured out where the actual party was, on the Camp Liberty side of the park. The party was really nice, pleasant and relaxing. We had lunch, watched the dohl ceremonies (he grabbed the stethoscope, securing his future as a doctor), took pictures, and hung out with family. Then, because I'm not a monster, I took my boy to the playground. It was a great playground, well maintained and pretty quiet on a Saturday afternoon. Fewer kids, in fact, than teenagers working out and playing loud music nearby. I'm not complaining. In fact, my child was fascinated by their music and got as much entertainment from their speakers as he did from the play structure. I don't live anywhere near Cerritos, but if I did, I'd make good use of Liberty Park. What a lovely neighborhood resource, for both special events and everyday recreation.

This is such a well rounded park with a community center, walking track, pickleball, tennis courts,…read moreplayground and more! Highly recommend these courts for pickleball too because there are a lot of courts, friendly players and it's not too advanced of play. Been coming for the last three months and I see the same players all the time. Only downside of playing pickleball here is that the courts close at like 8pm-8:30pm which is actually atrocious. I forget exactly. When I run to the restroom from the tennis/pickleball area, which looks exactly like your average park restroom. I see people on the playground and other pickleball courts (3 in the middle) (2 on side). The track is crowded too! The parking does get full in the evening so you may need to park on the street.

There is so much to admire, from the beautiful gardens and unique architecture to the bird enclosures scattered throughout the grounds. My favorite spot was what felt like a greenhouse--a beautiful white building tucked within the park, complete with a gorgeous fountain inside. It felt full of life and had such an ethereal atmosphere. Even the squirrels were curious and interactive, making the experience feel even more alive. There are also several beautiful statues placed throughout the property, giving you something new to discover around every corner. If you're looking for a peaceful place to slow down and appreciate nature, I highly recommend visiting The Heritage. 命に感謝。 @FireLordRia
