Good is decent, service depends on who you get. If you have a problem with your food and the woman who owns it is there she will argue with you and talk down to you. She is very rude and hateful when you tell her something is wrong. Today myself, my husband and son went for a late lunch. I ordered a shrimp chimichanga, husband ordered quesadilla rebozo, son had arroz con pollo. Cheese dip and 3 drinks they charged us more than the menu price amd when we brought it to her attention she basically told us it was her restaurant and she could charge whatever she wants!! I know $12/13 don't seem like much but this is not the first time this has happened. And then to be called a liar on top of it when your menu even says your wrong is ridiculous read more

5 Stars! El Rebozo Mexican Restaurant is the place to go! The menu is absolutely massive--it's like the Mexican food encyclopedia. They don't waste a second, either. You sit down, and boom! Chips and salsa right in front of you. And this salsa? Just the right kick, with chips so perfectly crispy they could start their own ASMR channel. I got the fajita-quesadilla, and let me tell you, it was a masterpiece. Huge, packed with flavor, and loaded with melty queso that could make anything taste amazing. My boyfriend went for the "Burrito El Rebozo," and he found it delicious! He joked that his portion looked like the size of a small child, by comparison to mine, but it was actually just right and hit the spot for him. And the prices? Insanely affordable. We left full and happy without doing any serious damage to our wallets. Bottom line: come hungry, bring your stretchy pants, and let El Rebozo work its magic. read more

It's been a while since we last went here and they've updated their menu. I had a frozen mango marguerita. I appreciated the size options and it was tasty. I ordered the fajita tacos...they were so good! The seared green peppers and onions added so much flavor. It was all reasonably priced and we had leftovers for lunch the next day! Fast, friendly service and really good traditional Mexican food. I also appreciated the care they took to get my order right, as I ordered no dairy on my meal. read more

We had Sunday lunch at El Rebozo today. Seems like everyone else on Hendersonville Road had the same idea! A booth was available immediately, with fresh chips and tangy salsa. The menu was huge and varied. All our favorite Mexican and Tex-Mex dishes. The cooks must have been wearing roller skates because they had so many orders to fill. No elegant dining here but pure Mexican restaurant ambiance. Now to the food: absolutely delicious! I had a Fajita Quesadilla and my husband had a Burrito Tejana. The grilled meat and vegetables were great! I could have eaten a grilled onion quesadilla all by itself. My husband was disappointed that there were no refried beans in the burrito but there was rice on the side. Some refried beans and rice would have been nice on the side of my quesadilla but then I couldn't have eaten it all. It was a memorable meal and next time we will tweak out orders a bit. There will be a next time because this is authentic and tasty food. Highly recommend!! read more

Location to this awesome little Mexican place is great. Right in the Arden Plaza, on Hendersonville Rd. We went on a Tuesday night at 6pm. No wait, just friendly servers greeting you and welcoming you in. It was surprisingly roomy in there, it looks small on the outside. It was clean, and tables were spaced nicely. But oh my the food!! Chips and table salsa were awesome, I had Steak tacos, which were perfect. They also have a salsa bar, with about the spiciest salsa I've had. The Peanut salsa was great, and I topped my tacos with that. The couple I was with, one had a torta, which for around $8 it was over a foot long sandwich loaded down with ingredients. It also comes with a side. The other person had pork tacos which looked just as good as my steak ones. We also enjoyed margaritas from here. They were great. Service was great. This is classic American Mexican, not deluxe but all the key pieces are in place. Free chips and salsa and a salsa bar to boot. Everything is made fresh it seems. But Rebozo excels in personality. The staff is friendly, attentive and personable. I'm sitting here after finishing my meal with a low soda glass and no less than three different servers asked if I need a refill - and the place is packed in an after Sunday rush. This place is at the top of my list of Mexican restaurants in town. The staff is amazing and always super friendly. We first came here with some friends who live in south Asheville and are regulars here. If we lived on this side of town, we probably would be too. The salsa bar offers a variety of mild to extra spicy salsas that are great with chips or as an added kick to your entree. I always want to try something different, but I usually end up ordering carnitas. The pork is chunked and pan fried perfectly. Always juicy and full of flavor. It's served with rice and beans, salad, and tortillas. The fresh avocado really sets it off for me. The best carnitas I've had! I'm from Los Angeles, where I can literally get amazing Mexican food on a street corner. Coming to Asheville, there have been many *acceptable* Mexican places I've been to, but none I'd consider good until I came to El Rebozo. My neighbor recommended it to me, and after having tried it, I will never go to another Mexican restaurant in the area. Their asada is always amazing and carnitas are delicious and succulent. The price is more than reasonable considering we're nowhere even close to Mexico, and I've never had a bad plate, be it sitting down at the restaurant and ordering to go. If you know the difference between good Mexican food and bad, this is the place to go to. read more

We had a business mtg but needed to eat first. This is in an unpretentious strip mall next to where I took my shoes to be repaired. Oh my, so good. I now come here every trip to the Asheville area. Our family enjoys eating here! It has become a tradition that we eat here each week and friends often stop in to join us. Asheville is full of swanky places to eat and it's nice to find a place that is comfortable and welcoming. The staff and ownership is great and we feel very welcome. I love the Torta Cubana? Overcharged us, then refused to correct... Received a coupon in the local circular. "Buy 1, Get 1 Free, Requires 2 Drinks, $6.95 max discount". Sounds easy enough, right? Not for these guys. Took a party of 7 to go eat. Our total bill was over $50, several entrees over $6.95, and we had 3 drinks. When I went to pay, I presented the coupon and the cashier only took $2.50 off the bill. He stated he was told to take off the lowest priced item (a kids meal in our case). I told him no, it should be $6.95 off since we had an entree at $10.50, $8.95 and several at $6.95. Cashier leaves to get someone else. I show him the coupon, and he says he has been told by the manager to take the lowest priced entree as the discount, again $2.50. This is clearly wrong, so I ask for the manager. The guy tells me the manager is not here, and again he can only take $2.50 off the bill. He tells me 'I don't make the rules" and hands me the check to pay. I paid the bill and asked the gentleman to please inform the manager that we won't be able to dine at this restaurant again. read more

As a SoCal native this place feels like home. The food is delicious, spicy (when advertised as such), well seasoned and fresh! They have 32 oz beers in mugs so cold they freeze your beer a little bit for like $7. The service was fast, friendly, and attentive. My new favorite Mexican Restaurant in S. Asheville. The food is excellent and the menu is huge, and the table salsa is the best in town. Actually the menu is so big it can be a little overwhelming; it's 5 big pages and they also have another insert with specials, so it can be hard to make a decision. Prices are good and all of the Mexican favorites are really tasty. I have to rave about the shrimp cocktail (cocktel de camerone), the shrimp were sweet and had a great texture, and the sauce was full of avocado, tomatoes and onion. If you've never had Mexican style shrimp cocktail, this is the place to try it. Service is very courteous and fast, and they went the extra mile finding us a booster seat with a strap. read more

This is our favorite place to go. We normally eat here once a week. The food is magnificent and the price is remarkable for our budget. It is a great place to take the family and you always feel at home. The service is incredible. Since we found this Mexican restaurant several years ago this is the only place we go for Mexican food. It is a great place to relax on a Friday night and also enjoy time with family on Sundays. It is great for kids! We started eating here when our kids were young. Our kids are grown but all continue to eat her often as will with their friends.
