They offer a great lunch buffet with all the traditional foods: pork, chicken, beef, plantains, various types of rice, beans, yuca, pasteles en hoja, salad, soup, fruits and desserts, all you can eat for only $9.99. You can also order a single plate with one meat and side dishes for $5.99 including a bottled of water. It's cheaper if you take it to go. I ordered the single plate with Pork, white rice, red beans and ripe plantains (maduros) and it was enough for two people or one really hungry one! The staff is friendly but be warned most do not speak English so if you are bothered by this don't go, although you will be missing out on good Dominican food. I recommend going for lunch when they first open for the best freshness (as would be the case in any buffet restaurant). As a Dominican American who grew up eating authentic Dominican meals from the start of my life, I believe that I am well qualified to speak on what good Dominican good tastes like. Before you read further, I will tell you right now that this may just be the best Dominican restaurant in Orlando. It is very authentic and the price is so cheap it is fair to question how they are still in business since I don't really understand how they make a profit. Quite frankly, I don't care either as long as they don't disappear. I have had almost everything on the menu and can say that everything is just amazing. Majority of the food is served via a hot bar and you can also do a buffet. I generally get the lunch special which is 6.45 with a drink. I mean seriously, 6 dollars and 45 cents for a full blown Dominican meal with drink. The value just cannot be emphasized enough. My only real criticism of this place is the fact that literally no one seems to know English. Even though my parents are Dominican, I don't speak Spanish and I order more with hand gestures and pointing then actual words. However, everyone is super kind and it is more of a running joke than an actual hindrance to the dining experience. I usually go in the afternoons and it stays empty. All in all, I have been going here 3 times a week give or take for the past 5 months. I usually never go to places twice unless I am really blown away and if you are looking for an authentic Dominican meal then look no further. The only complaint is that the buffet price has gone up considerably and there's nothing new on the buffet. We THE WORST EXPERIENCE going there today. From the moment we walked in, the server assigned to serve our food had an attitude. She aggressively threw the pastries in the bag. She ignored me when I asked her to change my meal from chicken to meat, she seemed so annoyed with her job, but again, I refused to take it personal because I was hungry. I was with a party of 4. However, when I sat to eat my food, I noticed that I was served over cooked, dry, and what appeared to be old meat. Ew! ( I will be filing a claim with the Department of Health). I asked the server if she could give me fresh pieces of meat and she said no because: I originally ordered chicken, and I changed my order therefore, I was not allowed to switch from the OLD meat she served me to fresher meat. I was with my family who was visiting from out of star how embarrassing?!! I did not want to argue over a lunch, but I did vow to leave honest reviews on this place on every review platform on the internet.
