Grabbed a quick lunch before my flight. The food was good and it was fast and easy to order. My sister in law said this place doubles as a club/lounge at night and restaurant by day. I'm glad I stopped in!

Our portions were very little . We paid a lot for not good food . Also we sat ourselves she didn't even come check up on us at all but we still hit charge for 15% gratuity ,

If you're looking for a good value for your money and want some good no frills Dominican food, this is it. They offer a great lunch buffet with all the traditional foods: pork, chicken, beef, plantains, various types of rice, beans, yuca, pasteles en hoja, salad, soup, fruits and desserts, all you can eat for only $9.99. You can also order a single plate with one meat and side dishes for $5.99 including a bottled of water. It's cheaper if you take it to go. I ordered the single plate with Pork, white rice, red beans and ripe plantains (maduros) and it was enough for two people or one really hungry one! The staff is friendly but be warned most do not speak English so if you are bothered by this don't go, although you will be missing out on good Dominican food. I recommend going for lunch when they first open for the best freshness (as would be the case in any buffet restaurant). They do have an a la carte menu but I have always had the buffet and never been dissapointed.

The food here it delicious, has real Caribbean taste and seasoned. You can order a la carte or order from the counter area. I order the stew chicken, white rice and red bean. Restaurant has lunch special range $6.99 which is great. If ever in the are will come back again to tried different plate.

A lot of love was put into cooking all the food, just like going to your grandma's house for gathering. As for the staff, they make sure you get a generous portion on the food you picked. It's your fault if you leave hungry. We'll definitely be back when we're on the area.

Their service is great and fast, but more importantly their food is mouth watering good. It always leaves me with a craving to come back and a full stomach ready to tackle the rest of my workday. My favorites have consisted of a Cuban sandwich which is full of pork and sauce and toasted nicely. It also does not fall apart when eating which is a plus when you are trying to stay looking presentable. Their pork is amazingly juicy and just falls apart in your mouth and has been worth every stain I have accidentally caused on my dress shirts. The white rice is fluffy and simple and good but their yellow rice is much better with many items. Their chicharron de cerdo is crispy and breaks easy and it's never been hard or chewy. Their ropa vieja is also delicious and I can't help but devour the entire plate. The rice and beans paired real good with this! My favorite sides have been the avocado salad and their macaroni salad! Both very light and balanced well with light citrus flavors in the avocado salad. I'll keep coming back here because the food honestly reminds me of so many great dishes my family use to make at home and after eating at so many places around Orlando I had yet to find a better place to get Spanish food like this!

From the service, to the cleanliness and of course the food: flavors, portions, everything hits the right spot. The place is quite brightly lit with a lot of tropical houseplants as part of the decor. There are three sections to the restaurant: A cafeteria, an indoor dining area and an outdoor dining area. The indoor dining area entirely consists of private booths whereas the outdoor section has tables and chairs. The service is warm, friendly, quick and most importantly efficient. The portions served are big. This was our third visit to Maracas in the past 4 months and they have been very consistent with their service, food quality as well as quantity. As far as the food is concerned, it will remind one of a hispanic home. The flavors are perfectly balanced, the meats are cooked tender, the beans are rich yet delicious, the rice is buttery, the yucas perfectly seasoned with mojo and the tostones are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside: just like you'd expect your Noche Buena meal to taste like at your abuela's dinner table. On this last visit, we had our usual tostones for appetizers, for the entrées we had the pernil (roast pork) with a side of rice, beans and maduros (yes, they offer three sides with all entrées), we also had the rabo (oxtail curry) with rice, beans and yuca con mojo. Everything was delicious and as always we couldn't finish our meal because of the large portions they serve and had to request take away containers. If you're looking for finger-licking good Dominican food (also for the Cubans looking for food similar to theirs), look no further. Maracas is the place to go. There's a reason we keep returning to this place.
