Finally! Delicious Dominican food! Finally a Hispanic location without its plates having to do with avocados or tortillas. This is an original style NY type of Dominican restaurant with a la carte style eats. They also have mangu(national Dominican breakfast) and Morir Sonando! I went with my family and enjoyed the food although a tad bit pricey the food was tasty nonetheless. Will be coming back for sure

First time here...you get to see the food before you order, which helps decide. The only downers are the flies everywhere and the temperature inside is almost as hot as outside. The food was flavorful and almost as close to what I ate when I visited DR!

This place opened up October 1st 2020. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Most of the menu items are cooked and ready for serving for a quick lunch stop. This is hardy Dominican and Honduran food. Delicious and well presented. They also have many items they can make on demand. I ordered two plates from the precooked selections. One was of yellow rice with guandules (morro), pernil and side of fresh maduros (fried yellow plantains). Second plate had white rice, stewed pinto beans, and chicharron de pollo. We also ordered a cheeseburger with fries for one of my kids. All of the food was well prepared and well seasoned. We're looking forward to trying more dishes in the future and maybe some deserts too. I think I saw tres leche cake slices and I saw they make morir-sonando a delicious creamy orange drink from DR.

Legit Latin/Caribbean food. Knowing some Spanish will certainly be helpful, but not required.

Man it was delicious and I was shocked as it was like a sample but a huge and I mean a HUGE sample. I can not wait to get home and try my food and I'm sure it's just as good as the sample he gave me! The menu isn't huge but our waiter (the owner?) helped us choose based on how hungry we were. I said I wasn't very hungry so he recommended the tacos. For my boyfriend he recommended the carne asada. That taco plate was huge and the carne asada was even bigger. I failed to get a photo of the asada before bf tore into it, but it was gorgeous. Served on a bed of fried plantains and accompanied by rice, amazing beans, avocado and pickled veg. Both dishes were blazing hot and made with care. The tacos are rolled chicken tacos, deep fried and topped with cabbage and crema. I could only eat one of the three! I tasted the asada and it was also terrific. Can't wait to come back and try breakfast or a lunch special!

I asked crema to mine for an extra burst of flavor. The maduros may have been some of the best I've had! Carmelized to the point that they were soft, sweet, with a charred exterior! I'm so glad I ordered this as a standard appetizer. Walking in, it feels like a 50s diner mixed with with a Latin discoteca. They have a sausage where a band (or kareoke) is performed. From how slow it was during the weekday lunch time, I suspect this place gets most of its business at night. Service was standard, although my order took at least 40 minutes. I don't know if it was the contractor electricians that were distracting the staff with their questions on the building, but I was surprised my order took so long when there was only two other people on the whole building ordering food. I hope this slow food service isn't like this all the time, but the quality of the food makes up for a lot of flaws.

I had work in the service industry for so many years, one of the many reasons why I gave it so many tries but unfortunately I won't be returning. I waited 40 minutes for my food, ordered two plates. I understand some plates cooking times can be longer than others but nothing ever came. One of them was just a simple bean tostada. The time before this I came at 9:20 pm, while it says on google that their hours of operation is until 10:00 pm. The server told me they were closing down and they only had Baleadas so I left to the taco spot next door just to see her turn the sign back on and let another table walked in. It's honestly so disappointing because it's difficult to find Honduran restaurants nearby, and I met the owner's daughter a couple of times and she's truly a sweetheart with a different vision for the restaurant. But at this point I rather make the drive to another place.

It's been a year or three since eatting here. Was going to another place in Denton for my pupusa…read morefix but unfortunately they closed down. So I re-tried a place I use to go to in Lewisville on Sunday, and here today to figure out which one I would frequent. The prices here have definitely changed from a hole in the wall place, even though it's still a hole in the wall place. They offer cheese, bean & cheese, or chicharon & cheese pupusas. They do not deviate. For the first two, pricing is $3.28 each. They give a small serving of curtido so if you like it you'll have to request more. The curtido here tastes good. The pupusas were on the smaller side and were wet in places on the bottom. You can definitely taste the wet texture when eatting. The chicken tamale was on point. They are $4.06 each. A large aqua fresca is $5.60 - no free refills. They charge $1 I was told when asking before I left. They no longer serve their yummy rice with veggies. It is just white rice. I didn't know they changed it, and wasn't told it would be white rice. Paid $3.02 for maybe a 1/2 cup serving. Would not have purchased if I knew this. Also they do not post pricing or offer any menus with pricing. They have the typical display pictures and names of items they serve. You order at the counter and pay at time of ordering. For 2 pupusas (no meat), 1 tamale, side of white rice, and large aqua fresca, my bill was $20.83. I guess I'll continue my pupusa quest.

Best restaurant in Denton. Delicious food done well…read more The pupusas are always fresh, hot, and go so well with the sauce. The fried mojarra is a new favorite of my spouse and I, and it comes with pickled beets, platano frito (as I call them, or Tajadas,) and some Curtido (like a cabbage cole slaw with vinegar and oregano.) seriously amazing food. The fish was so juicy and cooked perfectly. I am looking forward to hopefully trying everything on the menu over time!! I know it'll all be worth it The service is great and the staff are always so kind and courteous. The establishment is always clean and well cared for, and the seats and environment is cozy complete with television for you to relax and chill. There's a variety of drinks and beverages to choose from including imported drinks. I believe the restaurant is influenced by Honduran and El Salvadorian culture, so the drinks might very well be popular ones from these countries or regions. (: they also make fresh horchata, lemonade, and agua de piña (pineapple). The agua de limón is so fresh and went so well with the spice level of the food, as there is some good heat in the sauces. I love this place and it definitely deserves better reviews. You really can't go wrong here. My spouse and I posted the food on BeReal so don't mind the selfies on the pics lol
