I picked up food here for me and my husband. We love the chicken here and my husband loves the spinach with potatoes as a side. This time I ordered the Fried Fish! It was excellent! The flavor was good and fried to perfection. The service is nice too! I initially asked for Yucca fries but decided to change it to rice and the lady at the cashier updated my order with no problem. The ambiance is good! Typical fast food Family style but they do have lots of seatings to accommodate a lot of people. This is our favorite Peruvian chicken in town. Another thing to highlight is that they started a points system when you earn points you can later use at the restaurant! Love that.

Each one I'm in the area I make sure to stop by Super Rico and grab a note to eat. They never disappoint, the service is impeccable and the food is AMAZING! I'd even go as far to say that it is one of the BEST places to eat in this area. The VALUE you get is unmatched! They are always busy but on point with making sure the customer experience is top tier. They've added MORE menu items and the whole fried fish is now one of my favorite dishes.

Ever since the first time I tried Peruvian chicken, I look for it when I travel. Went on Yelp and read reviews for this place and they were good so I gave it a shot. This was hands down the best Peruvian chicken I've found anywhere! It's a nondescript place behind a WAWA. Nothing too fancy from the outside and not too crowded. I ordered a half chicken (all white meat) with side of mixed vegetables and fried plantains. You order at a counter and pay before being seated. The food was piping hot (had to let it cool before I could eat it) and plentiful! Breasts were very large and the sides were heaped on the plate. Got four "green sauce" containers which set me on fire (hotter than other places I've tried). Everything was fantastic. If you live anywhere close to Fredericksburg, you need to try this place!

I think Super Rico is terrific most days. However, our last experience left something to be desired. I was traveling home after a 6 hour trip, and had my husband place an order for pick up, when I was 30 minutes out. He placed an order online for the Bistek a lo Pobre, which is Marinated steak, topped with an over easy egg, served with fries, plantains and rice (no substitutions allowed). He said the website told him that it would be ready in 15-20 minutes. When I arrived at the window, I waited. Multiple people walked by before, what felt like forever, someone finally acknowledged me. When I gave him my order number, he yelled it out, and they yelled something back in another language, then he told me it would be just a moment later. At least 5 minutes passed, maybe more. I know that I sat there long enough, that I considered turning the car off. And mind you, we only had one entree that we were sharing. My food finally came out and I drove home. Food was fortunately still warm enough. But the meat was like jerky. It was so awfully dry and tough. We almost considered feeding it to the dogs, but I was too tired to care. We hacked it down. Sides were okay. Also, as a side note, they've raised their prices, which does not reflect the accurate pricing on their website. In some cases, some items are considerably higher. I knew this from the last time I ordered, which was some time ago, and they refuse to either fix the prices they advertise online, or honor the prices shown. I know that it's not a big deal, but it bothers me that I really have no clue on the cost of what I'm actually ordering. Either way, I would definitely stick with poultry here, which is their specialty.

This place is popular! The parking lot was pretty full, but it is Sunday at lunch time. As soon as you open the first set of doors you can smell the chicken, and boy did it smell good. They have a lot of options for food, but my husband and I decided to get the 1/2 chicken that comes with two sides. We both did fries, and then I got the pasta salad and he got the white rice. The rice was amazing - I could have had two sides of white rice! The restaurant has plenty of seating and the employees were great too - very polite. I'm looking forward to returning.

First time at Super Rico and I was thoroughly impressed! The portions were huge!!!!! Steak Tacos, Steak Fajitas, Green Beans, Mash Potatoes, and (not pictured) Pasta Salad. Everything was delicious and I'm NOW a fan and will be back.

Been here a few more times since my initial review. We've been getting the Combo #1 with a whole chicken and four sides. Portions are huge; plantains, black beans, yucca fries and white rice are the family favorites. SO GOOD! Only thing we didn't care for was the fried rice only due to the seasoning. Still good but we prefer the white rice, that's just being super picky.

A friend hit me up for happy hour on a Saturday night, and shockingly, I was home from work early enough to actually make it happen. Even more shocking? We chose Cheeky's, and I couldn't have been happier. The last time I was here was back when it was Casey's and Cheeky's was just launching, so I was excited to see how it had evolved. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was giving elegant, cozy, and intimate. Soft lighting, relaxed energy--basically the kind of place that gently tells you to sit down, sip a cocktail, and forget about your responsibilities. My friends had already ordered and kindly let us sample their food. I can't remember exactly what it was (possibly drunken noodles? Possibly magic?), but whatever it was, it was delicious. Since we didn't want to copy their order, my boyfriend and I went with the duck fries, duck wings, and fried beef tips with rice. Let me start with the fries because...wow. Skinny fries tossed in garlic, what tasted like truffle, and cooked in duck fat. Honestly? Some of the best fries I've had in a long time. I would come back just for those. My boyfriend loved the duck wings, which were generously coated in mumbo sauce. A little too saucy for me (I prefer my wings slightly less...bathed), but the flavor was solid and the portion was more than fair. My fried beef tips were everything--perfect crunch, just the right amount of sauce, and packed with flavor. A true masterpiece that really showcased Asian-inspired cuisine at its best. I also ordered the hibiscus lemon drop, which was so good I considered ordering a second (and did). That said, it was a bit overpriced for the size--but still tasty enough to make me forgive it. Overall, Cheeky's is super chic, serves delicious cocktails, and delivers flavorful, creative food. If you're looking for a food adventure or something a little out of the norm, I 100% recommend stopping by for an evening. My only complaint? I still dream about the pork katsu sandwich they had back in the Casey's days--served with homemade wonton chips. I think about that sandwich more often than I'd like to admit. Please...bring it back.

Today's venue of choice was a place called Rivers End, which sounds like either a cocktail bar or a warning label, depending on how your day's going. It starts off a little funny because you have to figure out the right door, then march yourself up the stairs like you're reporting for duty. Once you get up there, though, it feels like the kind of cool old place that's seen some things. You can almost feel the years rolling by, from Caribbean rum days to whiskey nights to the modern era of "smart cocktails," where they put things like herbs and intentions in your drink. The vibe was right. Cocktails were great--strong enough to matter, smooth enough not to apologize for. The food was excellent across the board, the kind that makes you stop talking for a minute so you can do some serious fork work. Most important, our waiter Shane was dead on the mark: there when you needed him, gone when you didn't, and never once tried to explain the menu like we'd just landed from Ohio for the first time. I can't find a single thing to complain about, which for me is almost a complaint in itself. Good value, good food, and a good scene--about all you can ask from an afternoon you're not spending at work. Next visit will be brunch, and I hope it's soon. Oh, and I did have the tostadas, but I got so excited by the smell I forgot to take a picture. Lewis would've understood. Some things are meant to be eaten, not photographed

They were cooked to perfection and had a great sweet sauce. I enjoyed the salad too. They also brought out wings, mini burgers, mini fried chicken sandwiches, and tuna. Some were overcooked, but the flavor was nice. The seating was a bit awkward for a group our size in the private room, but we made it work. It was nice how casual it was.

Tried to order three different beers, and every one of them was "not available today," which is restaurant talk for "the truck's late and so are we." Artie the bartender just gave this little shoulder shrug that said, "Partner, I don't make the rules, I just open the bottles." The place itself helped the afternoon along. The building is laid out so you can see just about everything from your stool: bar, tables, who's coming in the door, and whether your food is on its way. Sightlines were wide open, nothing cluttered or cramped, and the whole joint looked super clean, like somebody actually cares what it looks like before the crowd shows up. So we did what any sensible, thirsty people would do: picked two other beers, ordered some apps, and decided not to take life--or the tap list--too seriously. The beer we got was cold, the food was hot, and Artie turned out to be the kind of bartender you come back to see more than you come back for the menu. We'll be back, too. Lewis would've gotten a whole column out of that shrug. The food was excellent, too. The fish bites alone just about made the afternoon; if the beer list had completely fallen apart, we still would've called it a win on those.

The chargrilled oysters were just right for us to share as a starter and very tasty. My wife had the fried oyster po-boy and I had the blackened grouper sandwich; both were delicious. The coleslaw was good as was the Parmesan mashed potatoes. There is a good beer selection on tap and an interesting cocktail list. Our first beer choice was out, but our backup choices were good. Service was good but the restaurant was not very busy. The atmosphere is interesting with moody, dark painted walls and bold murals and a mix of '90s grunge and alt-pop music in the background. I also ordered a nice glass of Merlot wine to go with it. The portions were generous, and the entrees perfectly prepared, and very tasty.
