What? Why are there only two other reviews for this place. It's in the dollar store parking lot and there is a Hawaiian ice stand right next to it. What the hell else could you need in the summer? With authentic taco truck (bus...) tacos, real Mexican soda, a snow cone, and strong UV Rays in a parking lot--you should just call it a summer (and diabetes with all that sugar) but really, it's perfection. The food is delicious. It's inexpensive (cash only). Service is speedy petey. Share a plastic picnic table with a stranger. Moved from az to mt thinking i wouldnt find any good or sub par mexican joints like in az. This place is amazing nachos with chicken al pastor is just right on the money probably some of the better nachos ive had also shared verde burrito amazing. Went to their store in the food court at Gallatin Valley Mall based on others' reviews. I had the Burrito Montana and it was very tasty and a lot of food. My husband had the Burrito Fajita steak and thoroughly enjoyed it. Also a lot of food - especially from visiting in the area for a couple of weeks - for the price. Eat here. We had surprisingly excellent Mexican food in Butte and I think we got over ambitious. Canned beans? Really? In an $8 burrito. Food was average at best. Chile Verde was good but couldn't appreciate it swimming in those canned refried beans. Usually great rice and beans are the sign of a great Mexican restaurant, get something else if you give this place a try. Avoid the beans. read more

We live in billings, where you won't find decent Mexican food to save your life. Also, I grew up in California and go back to my hometown in the valley every year so I know what good Mexican food is. The problem is nobody else in Montana seems to have any idea. We LOVE this place-granted so far we have only tried a variety of street tacos, and a side of rice and beans, but they were all delicious! And they have Tortas on their menu-that's like a modern day Montana miracle right there. Bring cash, there is no other form of payment. My favorite taco truck in Bozeman by far! Very fast service and everything is under $20 so it makes for a great lunch. I've only ordered their tacos & enchiladas so far but it's all so delicious whenever I order. Good size portions & the sides are filling as well. Reminds me of home, and I'm from the place that's makes the best Mexican food in the U.S.! Don't be weirded out by the location or the paper plates. That just means it's really authentic . This old bus parked off Main Street has the most authentic tacos I've had on this side of the Mexican border! It's actually the only place in Bozeman I've been for Mexican food that wasn't entirely Americanized. The prices are very good, especially if you are just looking for a street taco or two as a snack. Some people would be a little apprehensive about buying food out of an old bus -- but, let those people go to a Taco Bell in Anywhere, USA to eat low-grade, highly processed junk. I gave 4 stars since not everything on the menu is *exactly* what is listed -- for example, I don't care for onions -- and they were not listed on the item I ordered -- but were the dominant flavor. We ate at the Gallatin Valley Mall. Ordered the enchilada verde, it was delicious. Came with rice, beans, some lettuce & tomato. Only wish it came with a few tortilla chips. The verde sauce was little tart but good. I will definitely eat there again. Customer service was ok. read more

Recently moved back to my hometown of Bozeman from LA. Ever since I moved back, I crave the taste of authentic street tacos. This place comes super close, if not hits the spot, and its definitely the best taco place in Bozeman. Meh. Pretty average at best. Had the burrito verde, which was overly salty, smothered in cheese and verde (green) sauce. Lots of refried beans and not much else inside. Not anything special, and not especially cheap ($8.50 for the burrito, nothing with it). From a taco truck, I expect at least one or the other. Maybe I'll try something else next time, but until then I can't recommend. read more

This review is for both the food truck and the mall location. The mall location is open year-round. The food here is terrific. It is real Mexican food, not California or Tex Mex. I am hopelessly addicted to the chorizo tacos and the carnitas tacos. The macho burrito with carnitas is also very good. The people who work at both locations are unfailingly gracious -- they even put up with my lame attempts to order in Spanish. The tacos are street style and very reasonably priced. Other entrees cost more, but the portions are very generous. Do yourself a favor and eat here. This is the best Mexican food in the area. read more

Always good. My girlfriend and I come here and get takeout almost once a week. My favorite are the pastor tacos. They each have two corn tortillas, a lot of meat, and a sprinkle of onions and cilantro. The pickled jalapenos and carrots, and a squirt of lime makes them perfect. She orders the "macho burrito" with carnitas, also super good. covered in enchilada sauce and with a side of rice and beans, it's a serious meal.
