    Carne asada tacos
    jeannie c.

Visited the old white school bus location (taco truck): Had the carne asada tacos ($2.00 ea), super fresh meat, cilantro and onions and nicely grilled tortillas. Also had the carnitas burrito. Wow, huge chunks of pork and the freshest beans, lettuce, tomato and cilantro. I'm from San Diego, where every corner has amazing taco shops. This was very very legit. Muchos gracias

Burrito Montana - carnitas without cilantro and a tamarind soda.

This place had a steady stream of customers the while time I was there and there's a reason - the food was SO GOOD. I got a burrito and my friend got tacos. Great atmosphere and great food. Came out fairly quickly as well.

    Verde burrito.

YUM. Large portion size. I had the green chili burrito. The burrito + drink + 15% tip =$16. Food truck. People working there were originally from Mexico; good recommendations, people skills. TV playing music videos inside bus. Places to sit inside. Fun place. 100% recommend. Fun date place, not serious talk about relationship date place.

Hands down best Mexican food in Bozeman! Authentic, fresh and friendly.. what more could you ask for! This place is the real deal, and their new bus has inside seating so it's tacos rain or shine!

Tacos only $2 each and Asada burrito. So good!

El Rodeo is getting 5 stars because it really is the top 2 best Mexican spots in Bozeman (La Tinga is a close second...) You get really authentic dishes here, and you aren't paying for anything fancy. For instance, you either eat at their food truck location or in the mall. It's nothing special, but the special part is the food. It's incredible, haven't had a bad thing yet. Thank you to the high heavens! We finally have some good Mexican food in this town! Woohoo!

Chiles rellenos rodeo! Their enchilada sauce is to die for!

Definitely the best Mexican food I have ever gotten from a drive thru!…read more First off, I didn't realize this spot was located with a gas station until I pulled up and was a little confused and nervous. After reading the great reviews, I knew I had to try it anyways. The service was super fast and friendly in the drive thru and I was happily on my way back to the hotel with some delicious smelling food. All my fears faded away with the first bite. This might be some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. I had the steak fajitas burrito which was not only huge, but SO GOOD. Piping hot and everything was very fresh. Steak was cooked perfectly and it was very filling. We also got a few carne asada tacos and the Bozeman nachos. Everything tasted amazing and the flavors were great. Sometimes I worry if things are made quick, the flavor isn't there, but in this case, it was exquisite. I would've eaten here all week while we were in town. Twice was all we had time for but I will go back every time I am in the area.

This meal was intended only as sustenance, but it was surprisingly SO GOOD??? As a Southern Californian with tons of Mexican food options, we thought Albertano's in Bozeman was so AMAZING! We came back TWICE for night time munchies! The red enchilada sauce was soo good I loved that it drenched everything. The thick red enchilada sauce with the crispy taco was the best combo of crunch and gooey chile deliciousness. Combo #4 is the way. Their red salsa also had a decent kick, which was a pleasant surprise for a spice fiend! And their salsas were not watered down as I sometimes see. Very casual fast food, looks like a big mess, but I swear it's so delicious.

When we came in at around 4pm, there seemed to be plenty of tables available but after an hour, the place quickly filled up. Vibes/Service: Parking lot in the back and it seemed there was some street parking available as well. Many, many tables available with bar seating as well. It can certainly fit a larger group. Great service from our server. Checked on us often and filled up our waters. Food: Because it was our first meal here, we wanted to try out their staple dishes. -Bison Potstickers ($16): 5 pieces topped with mango and garlic chili sauce and served with some coleslaw. Rich and filling, paired well with the sauce. Would order this again! -Bison Patty Melt ($22): it was my first time eating Bison, the waiter suggested medium rare. It looked more red than I usually like but it actually was juicy and tasty-- I guess this is the difference between a regular beef patty. I'd also order this again. -Served with pepper parmesan fries which was so uniquely food. Fries were fresh. -Huckleberry Cream Ale ($8/pint) paired well with my meal.

My server knew the special menu, regular menu and drinks very well. I ordered the bison patty melt and tots for the meal and the Bridger Hazy IPA for the drink. The bartender recommended the IPA and it was excellent. The homemade tots were great. A shredded potato in the middle, nice and creamy and crunchy exterior. Feedback was there were only 5 on the plate. Definitely could use more. The bison patty met was perfectly cooked. A lot of folks overcook and dry out the bison. It was perfectly medium and juicy. Feedback would be a little char on the patty would be great. The service really tailed off in the end, it was not super busy and they had about 5 servers behind the bar. I sat there for at least 15 min until another bar tender asked if I wanted another brew and my server came about 5 to 10 later to attend to things.
