That alone should tell you everything. The quality of the food is outstanding. The meat is tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, yet somehow not heavy at all. Zero excess fat (which is a huge pet peeve of mine), just clean, fresh, perfectly cooked meat. Every bite tasted intentional and made with care. The owner/chef, Z, is one of the kindest and most compassionate people you'll meet. You can genuinely tell how much love he puts into his food. He even took the time to ask how much I enjoyed everything, which says a lot. I'll absolutely be back--and if I don't see the truck, I'm calling the number and tracking him down. The truck itself was spotless and well stocked with chips, drinks, peanuts, and treats. I also noticed he offers burrito bowls (so cool) and an unbeatable meal deal: 2 tacos with rice and beans for $10.... You truly can't beat that. Thank you, Z, for an unforgettable Taco Tuesday. The owner was kind enough to bring us some of the house made pickled jalapenos which were EXCELLENT! These are also available at the salsa bar, which we went back to for seconds. We also ordered 2 super carnitas tacos with a side of rice & beans. The carnitas were not super crispy but they were still flavorful and delicious. We also loved that they put pieces of avocado on the nachos and tacos rather than guacamole. We like both, but it's a nice change to see fresh avocado especially when so many Taquerias commit the crime of diluting their guacamole with undesirable ingredients to make it go farther. No bueno! Everything was delicious. I loved the squash and melted cheeses in the vegetarian stuff, and my mom proclaimed the beef to be "very tasty." The owner is very friendly! When you walk in, you place your order directly with the cashier. If dining in, they will provide you with a basket of chips and you choose from an open table. The booths are a bit cramped with no space at all between yourself and the table but comfortable enough otherwise. There is a self service salsa bar in the corner - we really liked the creamy green salsa. Had just a slight kick but my 3 and 5 year old both loved it. I got a taco salad which is served in a taco bowl with all the ingredients of a super burrito, minus rice and cheese. It was very good, but the bottom of the shell gets really soggy so you can really just eat the top of the shell where it's still crispy. The rest of the family got super burritos and were very happy - the meat was crispy in some parts and moist/soft in other parts and the ratio of the other ingredients were perfect to complement the protein. Everyone left full and happy. Don't forget to get a sweet, cool, refreshing horchata drink to help wash down your meal!
