This El Ranchito taco truck deserves more love. I've been coming here for lunch ever since the start of the pandemic. Not only their tacos are mouthwatering delicious (I really love that they offer more than the regular meat choices, and if you're into it, their lingua, cabeza, and tripa tacos are to die for, seriously! must try!) AND their prices are sooo kind to my wallet. $3/taco, and 3-4 tacos are just perfect for lunch... with the ridiculous prices other food trucks are charging where else can you get a decent lunch for under $15 nowadays? Do yourself and your tastebuds a favor, drop by and try the best tacos in the Peninsula. Don't let the truck exterior deter you from checking it out. There's an old school charm to the truck I must say. I haven't tried many of their offerings, my son loves their burritos, and today I tried their sopes for the first time, and they were very good, nice crispness to the masa shell, but it's all about the tacos, they had me at "tripa taco for $3" Take note that they are located on Murchison to 3pm, but then relocates to the Millbrae train entrance from 3pm to 9pm.

Conveniently located on the corner where there is parking right behind the truck. Friendly and fast service. Be careful that if you order your tacos with hot sauce, they are indeed hot. The street tacos are made with two corn tortillas and whatever meat you ask for. Also fresh chopped onions and cilantro. Expected a little more meat for the $2 tacos but nevertheless tasteful.

$6 for regular and $7 super. Value is non existent. There was a ton of rice and beans in the burrito. Which was already small. The amount of meat was also hard to tell since the burrito was nearly 70% beans. Salsa had no flavor and did not help the overall experience. If you want a burrito fix and nowhere else is close. This can work if you are super hungry and can't wait. Otherwise I'd suggest you avoid this place.

The Barbacoa and Lengua are almost worth dying for, cause if you died, you wouldn't be able to try these tacos! Please give this place a try, not a waste of time or money at all.

10/10 El Ranchito taco truck is next-level amazing. I stopped by for three tacos--chicken, pastor, and carnitas--and they were so good I immediately went back for more this time dealers choice and he gave me his favorite pastor and the shredded beef. That alone should tell you everything. The quality of the food is outstanding. The meat is tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, yet somehow not heavy at all. Zero excess fat (which is a huge pet peeve of mine), just clean, fresh, perfectly cooked meat. Every bite tasted intentional and made with care. The owner/chef, Z, is one of the kindest and most compassionate people you'll meet. You can genuinely tell how much love he puts into his food. He even took the time to ask how much I enjoyed everything, which says a lot. I'll absolutely be back--and if I don't see the truck, I'm calling the number and tracking him down. The truck itself was spotless and well stocked with chips, drinks, peanuts, and treats. I also noticed he offers burrito bowls (so cool) and an unbeatable meal deal: 2 tacos with rice and beans for $10.... You truly can't beat that. Thank you, Z, for an unforgettable Taco Tuesday. For some reason, I've always avoided taco trucks for the same reason people avoid drinking water when traveling in third-world countries. However, as I get older, I'm starting to not be so rigid about where I eat, especially when I keep hearing good things from people about this taco truck. The tacos are a dollar or so each, so I always order four of them. I could eat more, but I gotta keep some things in check. I always order the carnitas tacos. They're muy bueno and deliciosos. I was hooked on them the first time I ordered from here. I went there three days in a row for lunch. Crazy good. Or was I just crazy hungry? Either way, they're good and I haven't had any stomach issues. So I refuse to call this a roach coach. read more

This place is conveniently located on el Camino in San Bruno. The food is really tasty, good portions and served hot. The salsas are really tasty too. After a long day and I'm super tired not wanting to deal with dinner we go here. It gives a home away from home feeling because the service. The cook/owner is super nice. There are several El Ranchito Trucks between Millbrae and South San Francisco. I have been to them and this is consistently the best of the group. I absolutely love this taco truck!! The people that run it are always super polite and nice. They do get packed around lunch time but always manage it like it's nothing. There are always in the same spot Monday-Saturday. They are open on certain holidays even New Year. I spoke with the man that runs this truck, since I go there pretty much everyday, and he tells me he wakes up everyday at 4 am to prep the food. Well sir it shows! Finally got to try this taco truck, $1.50/taco & it was legit. Not skimpy on the meat, great salsa (the green one), and flavorful meat. I enjoyed the pastor (spicy pork) & carnitas (definitely was moist & juicy, a very clean pork flavor meaning you can tell you're eating pig). I appreciate that the tortillas weren't old, stale or overly chewy..it was soft, al dente & didn't fall apart as I chowed down on my taco. I haven't tried the other items since I am a taco fiend. I am always so thrilled when I see their truck. Great service, even greater food! Really delicious and the quality stands out. The Pollo Quesadilla is so filling and tasty (for less than $5, in Burlingame of all places). Their carnitas tacos are out of this world, too. A word of warning however and that is in regards to their commitment to spiciness - be careful when requesting spiciness because they don't mess around. This is a go to taco truck that offers much more than "just" tacos and I always walk away happy and satisfied. Check them out, they don't disappoint! read more

I was also looking forward to eating the churro donuts on the drive back home because I thought they would be hot n good but that wasn't the case. They musta pulled them out from under a warming lamp because they were barely lukewarm to cold so that was a fail. Overall, it's not bad, but definitely pricier than most of the other popular Mex spots and now that I think about it, I probably won't go back because of it. There's plenty good Mex around for a lot less $$. I coulda gotten 3 super burritos from Farolito for $35 vs ~$75 that I paid at Suavecito.

Not one element overpowered. Each bite was even better than the last. I wish the verde sauce had a little more kick but it was still flavorful. How do you even explain a good burrito? For me, you just have to try it and hope my recommendation doesn't let you down. Another plus, My daughter has a few allergies and was able to safely eat the mexican rice and grilled chicken. Note that parking is limited, it gets crowded and seating is limited. But those are signs of a really really good place to eat.

After the drive home, my food was still hot as if it was just served. Chips still crunchy and salsa still chilled. My super quesadilla had really good taste and flavor, but the portion for me just didn't do it. Looked small, felt small and weighted much less compared to my wife's super burrito. The outside slices held together but the middle slices fell apart fast despite using Dos manos (two hands). Basically same price as the super burrito but less food. The super burrito however, this is one of the better tasting burrito's I've had. Cheesy, flexible but crunchy tortilla, flavorful carne asada. Freshness from the pico de gallo, slight kick from the salsa. Overall just a really good burrito. Highly recommend. I definitely will try other things on their menu next time. The question I always ask myself after trying a new place is "would I come back here?". For the super quesadilla, no. For the burrito and to try other things, definitely.

Even my 7-year-old picky-eater can eat three of these in one sitting! The truck used to park by Safeway in Millbrae but moved because of construction. One day I was seriously craving their birria, so I drove up and down El Camino until I finally found them in San Bruno, about half a block from the Arco gas station near Santa Lucia Avenue. (Address on Yelp is correct. Google Maps is wrong.) Totally worth the hunt!
