10/10 El Ranchito taco truck is next-level amazing. I stopped by for three tacos--chicken, pastor, and carnitas--and they were so good I immediately went back for more this time dealers choice and he gave me his favorite pastor and the shredded beef. That alone should tell you everything. The quality of the food is outstanding. The meat is tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, yet somehow not heavy at all. Zero excess fat (which is a huge pet peeve of mine), just clean, fresh, perfectly cooked meat. Every bite tasted intentional and made with care. The owner/chef, Z, is one of the kindest and most compassionate people you'll meet. You can genuinely tell how much love he puts into his food. He even took the time to ask how much I enjoyed everything, which says a lot. I'll absolutely be back--and if I don't see the truck, I'm calling the number and tracking him down. The truck itself was spotless and well stocked with chips, drinks, peanuts, and treats. I also noticed he offers burrito bowls (so cool) and an unbeatable meal deal: 2 tacos with rice and beans for $10.... You truly can't beat that. Thank you, Z, for an unforgettable Taco Tuesday. Not only their tacos are mouthwatering delicious (I really love that they offer more than the regular meat choices, and if you're into it, their lingua, cabeza, and tripa tacos are to die for, seriously! must try!) AND their prices are sooo kind to my wallet. $3/taco, and 3-4 tacos are just perfect for lunch... with the ridiculous prices other food trucks are charging where else can you get a decent lunch for under $15 nowadays? Do yourself and your tastebuds a favor, drop by and try the best tacos in the Peninsula. Don't let the truck exterior deter you from checking it out. There's an old school charm to the truck I must say. For some reason, I've always avoided taco trucks for the same reason people avoid drinking water when traveling in third-world countries. However, as I get older, I'm starting to not be so rigid about where I eat, especially when I keep hearing good things from people about this taco truck. The tacos are a dollar or so each, so I always order four of them. I could eat more, but I gotta keep some things in check. I always order the carnitas tacos. They're muy bueno and deliciosos. I was hooked on them the first time I ordered from here. I went there three days in a row for lunch. Crazy good. Or was I just crazy hungry? Either way, they're good and I haven't had any stomach issues. So I refuse to call this a roach coach. read more

The amount of meat was also hard to tell since the burrito was nearly 70% beans. Salsa had no flavor and did not help the overall experience. If you want a burrito fix and nowhere else is close. There are several El Ranchito Trucks between Millbrae and South San Francisco. I have been to them and this is consistently the best of the group. I absolutely love this taco truck!! The people that run it are always super polite and nice. They do get packed around lunch time but always manage it like it's nothing. There are always in the same spot Monday-Saturday. They are open on certain holidays even New Year. I spoke with the man that runs this truck, since I go there pretty much everyday, and he tells me he wakes up everyday at 4 am to prep the food. Well sir it shows! Finally got to try this taco truck, $1.50/taco & it was legit. Not skimpy on the meat, great salsa (the green one), and flavorful meat. I enjoyed the pastor (spicy pork) & carnitas (definitely was moist & juicy, a very clean pork flavor meaning you can tell you're eating pig). I appreciate that the tortillas weren't old, stale or overly chewy..it was soft, al dente & didn't fall apart as I chowed down on my taco. I haven't tried the other items since I am a taco fiend. I am always so thrilled when I see their truck. Great service, even greater food! Really delicious and the quality stands out. The Pollo Quesadilla is so filling and tasty (for less than $5, in Burlingame of all places). Their carnitas tacos are out of this world, too. A word of warning however and that is in regards to their commitment to spiciness - be careful when requesting spiciness because they don't mess around.
