First time to this restaurant at lunch today. We took recommendations from the waiter for the meal and tried Peruvian food with plantain, it was excellent. Waiter and staff were friendly and helpful. Went here and was pretty impressed for a Virginia mexican food restaurant. Cool restaurant. Chips and salsa were good and I always like the addition of the serve yourself salsa bar. The papusas were good and moist but still crisp. Had the fajitas and they had some good flavor and plenty to eat. Being the only two non-Latinos of 30+ customers, we realized that we would be eating where the locals ate and held high expectations for great food. This proved correct with our fajitas and tacos being more flavorful and plentiful than we have had at similar restaurants. The unlimited complimentary chips and homemade salsa was soooooo tasty. So glad that I found a Peruvian chicken place in town. I got hooked on it a few years ago and I can't quite replicate it at home (probably because it's traditionally cooked for 24hrs). I had the 1/4 chicken with Spanish rice and yucca fries. Everything was delicious. The only disappointing point was the yellow sauce. It's not bad, just different than what I've had elsewhere. This place is AMAZING! This was our first time visit. We were welcomed with chips and a flavorful salsa (I would say the best salsa in the area). Our waitress, Jackie, was very friendly and informative. She asked if this was our first time and recommended the Mi Canton Combo, which includes 2 pupusas, rice and beans, and fried plantains. You could choose from several pupusa fillings, I had one pork and one chicken. It came with a refreshing slaw and red sauce as toppers. The plantains were soo My boyfriend had the 3 Amigos combo, which included chicken, steak, and shrimp, along with rice and refried beans. The queso was just store bought stuff. The chips were eh, stale. The fajitas were flavorless. Just cooked. No seasonings whatsoever. The service was sub par, slow, and I had to ask for things more than once. Considering this was a special trip to go shopping at colonial Williamsburg we probably won't return. read more

I was recommended to this restaurant by a friend who stated that this was the best Peruvian chicken she has had. I tried it for lunch today and she was absolutely right! I've had Peruvian chicken several times before and this is definitely the best I have had. Fall off the bone and incredible seasonings. Had it with Yucca Fritas and plantains and portions of the sides were generous. Will certainly be picking some up for dinner soon. I tried their flan too, but it was over steamed and stiff, not the usually creamy and custard like consistency. The server did explain that they changed the ramekin size and it may have affected the cooking time. Which is understandable. Despite the flan, I am still giving 5 stars as the main course was fantastic and Abby and Jacqueline were gracious! read more

Do not come to this restaurant. I came in at 630 with a group of 7. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant; maybe one other table. We ordered 3 appetizers and then 10 minutes later ordered dinner. About 20 minutes after ordering our apps, the waiter came and told us they were out of avocados so we could't have the guacamole. This is partially a Mexican restaurant. It is now 745 and no dinner yet. This place is horrible!! Ok I had to update. We waited until 8 pm - an hour and a half after we came in and neither the waiter nor the manager could tell us when we would have our dinner. Many people came in after us and were served. We walked out. I have never done that before. What an awful and incompetent place.... read more

Looking for something a little off beat we decided to give this place a try. They did not disappoint. They have Mexican, Peruvian, Salvadorian fare.
