I've had my car in with John two times in the past year, once after a major front end collision and again to replace multiple windows after vandalism. Both times have been absolutely excellent. They worked well with the insurance company that was provided, they worked quickly, and I have had zero issues in a year after the collision. The glass work I did outside of insurance because his price was excellent (I checked) and almost half my deductible. Not only that, but he replaced both windows in one afternoon for me. They do great work, at a great price, really quickly, and are always friendly with me. What a nice friendly place. I had a ding in my back bumper and I went in and spoke to the nicest person, John. He gave me an estimate but also cleaned the area where I had the ding and scratches. He brought out some paint and painted in the scratches and I basically had a choice to spend money for a new bumper or keep it the way it looked when he made the changes. It looked fine to me so I chose not to spend the money at this time. He was so sweet that he didn't charge me for making it look better. I wasn't expecting that and his kindness is truly appreciated. Someone hit my car on the freeway, and I found this auto body shop through that person's insurance company. Although being in an accident sucked, I could not have had a more pleasant experience in dealing with them. They helped me coordinate with a rental car company, which was a relief because I had never been in an accident like that before. They told me that my car would be ready at the end of the week, and shockingly, it WAS. In fact, John told me on that Friday that it would probably be ready around 3:00, and at about 3:07 I received a phone call to come by! My car looks great. They went out of their way in other aspects, such as helping me fix a torn strap on my bag, and fixing a pre-existing dent I've had for ages and have been too cheap to fix (they did it for no additional charge, even though I said that I was willing to pay for it on the side!). A friend even commented that they must have vaccumed the interior...I wondered what he was trying to say about the condition of my car before, but decided to let that go... Even though I live in the Valley, I would not hesitate to go here for any future auto body repair needs (they are close to my job, which is a plus). read more

This review is based on the quality of the work. The back of my car was totally smashed in after being hit while parked and unoccupied. My insurance company listed El Segundo Auto Body as a preferred vendor. After fixing my car and putting on new parts, it looked good as new. Until I realized that the new bumper they put on my vehicle was installed improperly and lose! Something so simple was done incorrectly!! This review does not reflect the work done but rather the total unprofessional attitude that was given to my wife, even if it was just an off day for this guy. Given the reviews I have read for this place I was expecting a much, much better experience. THE SHOP gave my wife a 2:30pm appointment for a quote to have some insurance work done. Wife shows up at 2:30pm as per the appointment given by THE SHOP and was met with a guy eating lunch followed by this guy rudely stating" Can't you see I'm at lunch, I'm eating, come back in 30mins." Seriously? You guys set an appointment then turn around and pull crap like this? Regardless if this shop does quality work or not, I would not even give my insurance companies money to this place, let alone my own. There are much more professional ways to handle a situation like this, it's a shame because I was kind of looking forward to seeing this places work first hand...guess not. read more

After my accident I had to have the latch of my SUV replaced and I noticed that it was a little sticky a few weeks later but got busy and didn't address it for three months. When I finally did get around to coming in, certain I had waited too long to come back and that it was going to cost me, John didn't even blink- he just got one of his guys to take a look and they fixed it for me in less than 10 minutes! Do not waste your time dealing with this "collision center". This was the third place I went to for an estimate for a little scratch. They refused to give me a quote because I did not want them to order a new bumper (the bumper was not damaged). I told him that I would order it and change it myself if needed.This guy proceed to tell me he was going to charge me to removed the bumper.The previous places I visited did not mention the bumper at all. I insisted he only give me an estimate for the scratch so I can better compare it to the estimates I had gotten from other collision centers. He said "The way you want to do it, I can't give you a quote" and walked away. Totally unprofessional. I don't understand how you plan to run a business but refuse to give out a quote. read more

Last year some jerk on the 405 decided he wanted my lane while I was still in it and crashed into my car and damaged my driver side front quarter panel. My husband recommend I take my car to El Segundo Auto Body as his dad had taken his car there & was happy with the repairs. John and his team did a fantastic job on my 350z and went above and beyond when he cleaned up the haze I had on my right headlight (the driver side was broken from crash) even though the scumbags at Nissan wanted to charge me $2500 to replace them! A couple of weeks ago my son was in an accident so I suggested he take his truck to ESAB and John "wowed" my son with the repairs he did on the truck. Again they paid attention to detail when they painted the hood emblem to match the wheels!!! It took me a little while to make this review the staff is definitely very friendly and beginning to very end but yet the ending part was a little weird and awkward after I receive my car I noticed that the door hinge was not realigned With the quarter panel on my front right tire I could tell because putting my finger through that line on one side the Left side of the car had less of a gap there on the right side this is very disappointing I didn't really notice it at first because I'm not a car expert it definitely took some time to realize this as my other friends dead and pointed out to me right away the ending part was even more obscure considering the gentleman who is helping me was trying to tell me that they changed that same tire and where I had the issue at yet they never called in more importantly they weren't charging the insurance company they were trying to personally charge me yet the tire did not feel new but I didn't make an issue of it about it at that time but yet a few days later I end up getting a flat on that same tire in which they claim they change the tire on because there was a parent flat on it because there are some nails on the tire and I when I need a couple days I really mean two days later so I started to understand that he never change the tire out in the first place and I guess he was just basically trying to point out to me that there was a flat on the tire but yeah trying to charge me for this suppose it information when he was trying to sell me on the idea that it was a brand new tire... This was later confirmed when I had to actually change out the tire luckily I have insurance on my tires and they did the tread depth on it and it was definitely not a new tire at all so at the end it was a good enough experience but the bottom line was definitely disappointing considering the car looks nice and it looks like they did a good job but when you really look at it and in detail they were definitely not on point with how the car looked before the car accident versus how they repaired it I'm on parlay this joke of replacing my tire for a new tire definitely get a fail! read more

From when I pulled in with my fairly new car needing some rear bumper attention they were great. They explained thoroughly what work they would be doing. They came and picked up my car while I was at work, and called me within 24 hours with a few issues with my car that I was unaware of at the time of the accident. They were communicative, thorough, and very customer service oriented. I got rear ended twice in two months, the second time being a couple of days before my appointment to get the damage from the first accident repaired. John Rios took care of everything from seamlessly coordinating the two claims, coordinating with the adjuster, arranging for my rental car and having me driven to pick it up, restoring my car to new, all the while keeping me up-to-date on the progress. Staff is super friendly , BUT did not like having to call on a daily basis on my car .I feel like they should have reached out to let me know that the repairs were going to take longer then expected . Date got pushed back twice ...I gave them the benefit of the doubt that holidays have just passed by and weather has been crazy . In the end result I was without car for almost 4 weeks ( just needed bumper repair) . Also if you plan on taking your car here be sure to take out ALL of your belongings (lesson learned ) unfortunately my "safety baby on board" sticker has gone missing . NOT a big deal to go back and grab it . But it's nice to have all things where it was left . Lastly , car was not 100 percent clean ....dust and paint chips everywhere . They need better repair employees for better customer service ...I gave it 2 stars because I feel Jon has done his best but sadly his employees didn't manage to get the job on time and careless with items that were inside vehicle. read more
