This establishment got a 29 out of 100 from Oregon health inspector for a litany of problems. I'm quite disappointed because this used to be one of my favorite places to go in Bend. Once I read the report I felt betrayed and angered that food safety was not being adhered to. It's unfortunate as I will no longer be supporting this business. read more

Decent burrito shop. People are friendly. Nice you can get black beans. That said, the shop feels a bit messy. Salsa area was splattery and not kept nice. Lots of tables were dirty. Also the salsa are very mild and don't have good tang or sweetness. Cheap tho and decent for bend Mexican food. read more

Super burrito is back, baby!! After closing the eastside gas station location, they have re-opened in a better location just south of Highway 20 and are now called "Super Burrito III." For my money these guys have the best burritos in town. I'm not sure what it is, maybe the deliciously salty carne asada? I finally got a chance to stop by El Super Burrito III for lunch. I was so happy to see the nice crowd of lunch customers. This is the restaurant that had been at the gas station across the street. I always enjoyed stopping in for an authentic Mexican lunch. I had been worried that their new location wasn't as convenient and that it might affect their sales. It is also right across the street from where I buy my dog food so as it turns out it is still convenient for me. They have a beatiful and delicious salsa bar and right next to it are the chips & grilled onions & peppers...amazing! I ordered the all meat burrito. It looks like they use homemade tortillas to make their burritos and the filling for the meat burrito is huge & very moist but next time I'll order a burrito with beans. My grandson says their chile toreadors are to die for! I didn't see that on the menu so it might be something you have to ask for. The guy that works there and takes orders, is hard working and enthusiastic. They even have menudo on the weekends. The restaurant's indoor seating is basic so don't expect anything fancy but the food is definitely worth it & the service is impressive. A co-worker mentioned this place to me over a year ago. When I 1st visited, I knew it was either a really bad recommendation or one of the best. Well, it turns out it was one of the best! Don't let the restaurant-in-a-gas station fool you, these are some serious burritos! (Side note, hole-in-the-wall/gas-station spots are often some of the best imo) On my 1st visit, I ordered a Carnitas burrito. I was a little surprised at first by the lack of customization, but realized they've already crafted an awesome burrito full of succulent meat, tasty beans and rice (and anything else the particular burrito you order lists on the menu). I was also a little disappointed to not find Barbacoa on the menu. However, after closer inspection, I realized that the Caveza (beef head) was pretty much the same thing (and prob closer to the cow head barbacoa of some regions). Fantastic burrito! My go-to lately has been the Chile Verde burrito with rice added. The pork is so tender with a great flavor. Piling mounds of green salsa on every bite makes this burrito irresistible. All of the salsas are great and have a pretty good heat to them. I often find myself wiping tears away from my face because I can't stop pouring copious amounts of the hot salsas on. Have been going to Long Board Louie's across the way for years and I finally pulled the trigger and tried El Super Burrito for the first time. They have a very extensive menu to choose from. I tried the Super Burrito Supreme with Carnitas minus the salsa. Nice burrito but due to the fact with so many ingredients towards the end of eating it was falling apart. Their dinner plates look very big. Might give that a go next time I'm in a hungry mood. That is most of the time. read more

Delicious food if you get what you order. Always come here for a carne asada burrito, sitting in line is usually worth it. However, the last time I went and will be the last time, I ordered 3 carne asada burritos. One had the last of the meat in the pan topped with shredded beef, the other two had shredded beef. It was 5:30p... you have to make more meat anyway... it would have been better to give all three with shredded beef, I'd give them the benefit of the doubt that they made a mistake. A total gem! Don't let the Circle K location scare you. I got a yuuuuuuge (but not too huge) burrito supreme (no meat and no sour cream) to go and was most happy with it. It was delish and just what I was hoping for. A nice proportion of ingredients in my burrito which all tasted freshly made. I also got some chips and salsa with it and they generously gave me a big ol chip bag and some pico de gallo salsa. Also great. This was one of my favorite places to eat for years, but after noticing how dirty the tables are and getting consistently burnt chili relleno I stopped eating there. The last time I ate at this location there was some kind of hair in the beans. I couldn't tell exactly what kind of hair it was, but it was short and black. Really gross. When I showed it to the Owner they didn't say anything except they didn't know what it was. There was no offer to give me my money back or cook me something else. One of the servers had big styes on his eyes for a long time, which is a health violation. Employees aren't supposed to work with infectious disease. read more

Depending on which day you visit, the salsa may or may not be fresh...when its fresh, its delicious but its not always so fresh...oh yeah its always waaaaayy hotter than any other place in town, not for the faint of heart! Lengua. If it doesn't taste like (or feel like) beef tongue, it's done well. The Super Burrito East Side lengua has a crispy, spicy bite, accented by a cool and tangy avocado sauce. I love lengua, but it's hard to find it done consistently well. Super Burrito East never disappoints. In my previous review, I failed to mention a small but important detail. Inside the restaurant, a small salsa bar features, chips, several salsas, grilled onions and jalapeños. There's nothing special about the white maize chips, but they're always warm. And the various salsas offer several different tasty options. As for the onions and jalapeños, I never knew how much I needed them in my life. But I do. Every other Thursday. Sometimes more often. And I haven't even mentioned the horchata. I've tried horchatas all over town, and they just don't compete. read more

We are fans of Super Burrito! Our usual go-to is the Carne Asada Fries. They have such good flavor, especially when paired with the green sauce! Absolutely the BEST vegetarian burrito in Bend, and I have tried them all. My wife and I started eating vegan about six months ago and this so far is the best we have found, for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Although Diego's in Redmond will give it a good run for its money at nearly twice the price.
