So we went there yesterday because this place is down the street from my house and I'm always passing by so decided to try it, we got a carnitas wet burrito, asada Gordita and a taco durado, the wet burrito was ok not much flavor to it, the asada was not the best unfortunately, I was expecting more flavor from this little Mexican restaurant, another reason I won't be going back is they charge every time you use your card and for refills! We usually go to Casa Garcia by the Cinepolis and we haven't tried anything that tops that so we will just take the extra drive next time we're craving Mexican. read more

I was told no, not 6, so I then said 4, (I was speaking to the elderly gentleman at the cash register.)He again said no, then he said you can only have two. By which a female cook added, we work too hard making them and if we sell you six or four, then others won't have a chance to buy them. What the heck? So what if they sell-out?Regardless of the time, if they sell-out, they have sold their quota. Since when Is it a thing to be limited in quantities? So if they were tamales, I might not be able to buy a dozen because they will sell-out? Don't these workers get paid to do their job? Lame excuse. I know people that buy 5, 6 at a time. Never being denied. Why then was I not able to do the same? One thing for sure is I WILL NEVER GO BACK, and anyone that asks about your establishment, I will recommend they not go. The elderly gentleman went on to say they use Anaheim Chilis instead of Pasilla Chilis, causing them to be bigger, therefore he said he can limit the quantity one can buy. Again, lame excuses. Oh my goodness! This has always been my most favorite place since they were located behind 7-11 next door to the four winds apts. I always got their taco plate, Chile relleno burrito or the taquito plate. I moved to Orange County in 2008 and would still make time to head down for the familiar taste that my family and I never took for granted. My sons are now 27, 24 & 17 and my middle son just called to talk about their burritos lol random I know. He asked if you guys were still there so I looked on Yelp and YES! We will be going back soon! So happy you're still in pico. My craving for all three pregnancies was the Chile relleno burrito. Omgosh we will eat there and take some to go. My wife and I were shopping in the city of Pico Rivera after the shopping we were very hungry it was hard to think we here eat at but I check on my Yelp I find El Super Taco just across the street from Target. It looks like a hole in a wall restaurant but many people go there to eat or place an order to go. The restaurant have good deals and the price are very reasonable. We look back at the menu and decided what to order,we order two chili renello and two hard taco combo it comes with a drink. Everything in the restaurant is made from scratch daily. Couple minutes later our meal was ready my wife pick up the food. The Burrito is a nice but also warm, I cut my2 burrito in half I say wow cheese is oozing out that's a cheesy chili renello that's why I love chili renello but the chili have a little bit spicy but so good. My wife love the chili renello especially the beans that my wife enjoy very much so much flavor. She say the beans taste so good it taste like Pepe's. The hard tacos were very good crunchy with a good flavor but the guacamole was so good with taco that's make it more better so much flavor we couldn't resistant it. read more

I first found this spot ten years ago when I moved to Pico Rivera from East Los Angeles, (had been living. In east Los Angeles for close to ten years also) I use to get my tacos from tacos el guero on the corner of Atlantic and telegraph. So why do I still come here? The food is good and the prices are reasonable. Now as far as all those low reviews stating that cleanliness is not up to par, guess they never ate at a taco stand or taco truck... they would die of a heart attack if they ever ventured into Whittier Blvd for a bite to eat. Place is usually pretty busy. You should call ahead your orders because if you come in you will have a wait! Weekends are probably busier. My family has been coming here for years. We love the super nachos. We load them up with all the extra fixings. Onion, cilantro, salsa, chile. Anything else you have to put on them. If you're feeling adventurous make them over fries. Also like the carne asada tacos, in two corn tortillas so you can keep it together. I get mine with orange bang. This asada is some the best I've had, tender, juicy, cooked perfectly and seasoned equal and evenly. I've had better pastor tacos, but the chicken is also very good. read more

I've been a Piconian pretty much most of my life and I must say, out of all the Mexican food pop up spots around the area, El Super Taco has by far the best Mexican food. Everything on their menu is great! Everything from their tacos to their burritos, even down to their nachos. The entire menu is an ace! Not only that, but reasonably priced as well. For first timers, I highly recommend the Super Nachos. A take-out box filled up the yin yang with beans, beef, guacamole, cheese, tomatoes, etc. Definitely a bang for your buck! For only $4.00 for Super Nachos, you get more value than you would King Taco ($5.00 for only a plate of nachos). Service is great. It's a family owned business and they are genuinely nice people who can help you out if you have menu troubles. This Mexican food joint is probably the main reason I love this city. Sorry but not so Super.. Looks like a family owned place when we walked in, since it looked like the owner and wife and daughter worked the place. Well we saw the yelp reviews before we stopped, and decided to take a chance since it was on the way home. Basic foods, like sopes, burritos, tacos, tortas, etc.. Didn't see that they served any food plates. So I ordered two gorditas. One with carne asada, and the other Al Pastor. The gorditas were premade and refried out of the freezer i think, or out of the refrigerator... Not sure, but werent handmade to order. So I got home and tried mine, and actually couldn't really distinguish the meats. The green sauce wasnt all that either. Just everything lacked flavor. Sorry but wouldnt stop here again. The people working there were really nice though and the place was very clean. Only good things i can say. read more

These tacos are so good that years ago when I started to work nearby I would get 15 min breaks of course that meant super taco break, I would call in my 2 tacos de asada run down there eat them on my way back and ready to work a bit winded from the run but feeling oh so fulfilled. Best taco spot I've been to in Pico Rivera, so far. They have great specials and have a salsa bar! The service is good btw. I came here a few days ago and ordered the 3 taco special which comes with a drink for 4 bucks. I went ahead and got a mix of meats which included carnitas, asada, and al pastor. All the meats were good, but my favorite would probably have to be the carnitas taco. I also tried their super nachos, which were also good. I'm definitely coming back for some more! read more

This small family owned Mexican food is awesome.. I found this spot while I was doing hospice work around Pico Rivera and the first time I ate there I couldn't decide on what to it but I'm a hard shell kinda girl so I got the special 2 shredded beef hard shell tacos and a soda the best decision I made every since that first visit I have been an ongoing costumer .. now I go on weekends and get the same order along a side of red Chile pozole yum .. The owners and everyone that works there are nice and attentive to the needs of the costumers I have witness a lot of costumers engage in conversation with everyone one that works there. It is nice to see this that made me feel good to see how it's like visiting family. I've had gorditas de chicharon, carne Asada tacos and chile relleno burrito delicious too. If this review is helpful to others in giving this spot a try go ahead I don't see you being disappointed instead more likely becoming a regular as myself. I live in bellflower and even when I've been in further cities I drive up here for my usual meal. I am very happy with this place.
