The Chiles gueros stuffed with shrimp and cheese are always a must have appetizer. I had A torta de asada , my gf had chile relleno and a chicken sope and son had kid's quesadilla with asada rice and beans .

Yummy! This is the perfect stop to grab some breakfast, lunch, or dinner! We stopped by on a Sunday pre-covid and it was packed. The parking lot is kinda tight so it was a challenge to find a spot. The employees took some time to acknowledge us and for some reason they sat us down but didn't have anyone to help us out. We were in a rush so after 15 mins of waiting we finally spoke up. The server ended up being nice and checked up on our table a few times. Our food didn't take too long to come out. The food was great! Nice and hot and freshly made! The salsa was amazing! Definitely gonna stop here again on my way back LA next time, with a little more time. Definitely check this place out!

I got the huachinango frito (fried fish) with rice and beans and salsa de aguacate! Must try!

    Chilaquiles with carne asada

I was in a party of 6. Lunch after attending an afternoon funeral. The place was empty when we arrived. But around 2-3pm, seems like everyone and their mama rolled thru and the place was poppin! I ordered chilaquiles with carne asada and requested my eggs be over medium. N you know what I got?!?!?!? Freakin' EXACTLY what I ordered and my eggs were PERFECT! The server was nice and helpful. Though, I think she forgot my horchata but then remembered when she brought out our food. All good. The horchata was a 2nd order and I already had my sprite. Any how, the reason I gave 4 star is cuz the side of guacamole was a really small portion for $6+ and my Tia's taco meat was burnt up like they were mad at her or something lol. Other than that it was all good. Atmosphere is pretty lively with a good mix of family, work folk, and pre-game drankers :)

First time after golf. Excellent service, very attentive. Chips and drinks refilled. Seafood Soup - 5 stars. Fresh, big portion, quality. Seafood Ranchers fillet - 5 stars Rice and beans were fresh tasty and good portion. Salsa was excellent, spicy medium level not mild. Chavelas made perfect

Not many Mexican restaurants carry tacos de Tripas, but when they do, they need to be amazing. This place has some amazing tasting tacos.

We discovered…read moreOceana Restaurant on the Greater Palm Springs Restaurant Week website -- the Pulpo Chicharrones caught our eye -- so we decided to check it out. Thank goodness we did. Our group started out with the above mentioned Pulpo Chicharrones. Crispy Octopus bites served with fresh pico de gallo, guacamole, and flour tortilla chips. The octopus had a charred crispy exterior that gave way to a buttery-tender interior. None of the rubbery texture that so often turns people off. For entrees, we selected the Whole Fried Huachinango (Red Snapper), 7 Oceanas (think "Spanish Chioppino"), and Pan Seared Halibut which was the special of the day. The halibut special featured a very generous pan seared filet on a bed of white wine risotto with a sesame seed veloute and asparagus. The 7 Oceanas consisted of perfectly cooked octopus, white fish, clams, mussels, shrimp, salmon, and scallop in a rich broth with tomato, onion, garlic, smoked paprika, oregano, and guajillo peppers. Served with housemade telera bread sticks to sop up the amazing broth. The snapper was deep fried to perfection leaving the skin super crispy and fleah moist and flaky. Drizzled with an adobo sauce and served with grilled sliced lemons, chayote squash and baby potatoes. Our only complaint was the snapper was not true red snapper as advertised, but rather porgy (we think). Red snapper is one of the most substituted fish and very few people in the world could tell them apart. My partner Ernie is a connoisseur, and he can. The dish was still excellent, we just wish it wasn't advertised as Huachinango. This hidden gem delivered fresh seafood, tasty cocktails with a nod to tequila and mezcal drinks crafted by owner Marco Castellanos, and friendly attentive service from Gina.

I ordered the 8 oz filet mignon with a baked potato and asparagus, and it was excellent. Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and exactly what you want from a proper steakhouse experience. My friend had the lamb chops and oysters Rockefeller and couldn't stop talking about how good both were. That alone says a lot. The ambiance is polished but comfortable, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. Even the small details stood out. They filter their water, and you can actually taste the difference, which is rare and says something about how much they care about the overall experience. There's clearly a level of consistency and quality here that's hard to find. This easily earns a spot on my top 10 list in the Coachella Valley.

The server was fast and friendly. We ordered the stuffed dates and the burrata. The olive tapenade with the burrata was so tasty. We practically licked the bowl clean. We quickly ran out of the little toasts but ate the olives with the arugula from the medjool dates. For mains we order a half order of the short ribs and the prawn pasta. The prawns were pretty large. The pasta was a little too al dente for me and the sauce had a very strong wine taste that got old pretty quickly. The short rib was so tender and flavorful, but the Brussels were also just a tad too rare. Overall it was a nice meal but kinda pricey for two people for the dishes to not be perfect.

I erroneously assumed spaghetti flavored with garlic, white wine, butter, herbs, & preserved lemon would be delicious. Large, tough (& again, tasteless) prawns topped the bowl of noodles that seem to stick together from a lack of sauce. Our gracious waitress removed the dish from our bill after seeing it had barely been touched. Her efforts did not go unnoticed; we generously tipped her for taking the initiative to rectify an unsatisfactory situation. We sat on the covered patio facing the giant rock formation; a unique dining experience, but one that felt Disney-ish rather than elegant. La Quinta Cliffhouse gets a hard pass from me.
