Chiles Gueritos Rellenos De Camaron $23.00 The original! Our famous six (6) yellow peppers stuffed with shrimp.

Chiles Gueritos Rellenos De Camaron (6) yellow peppers stuffed with shrimp are to die for. Every time we go to Indio we have to eat there. Everything we've ate there has been spot on.

We have lived here for 11 yrs, retired, gone to the "usual" Mexican restaurants... well this one is NOT one of them. Thanks to multiple comments on Neighbors we decided to go ourselves.... It was awesome. From the greeters at the front to the servers food runners and of course Crystal our bartender it was a wonderful evening... it's lively well decorated and seems to be well maintained and managed .... We had the signature fajitas with their special sauce and I will say probably the best I've had... and the margaritas aren't bad either lol...we now have a new favorite with a large menus plenty of seating and great work staff... kudos El Mexicali cafe II

A very busy place on Friday around noon. Only a couple parking spots in the back. The floors are immaculate. The campechana is unique with octopus and abalone in addition to the shrimp. Excellent portion in the large format for two to split. Nice sauce that needed a little extra oomph from the salsa. The #3 combo rounded out the meal. It was good but not spectacular, with the relleno showing some smoke notes. The 32-ounce draft beer is an excellent deal at $12 (these days). Excellent service was provided by Fabiola, who had a great backup service crew.

Went here with some friends for lunch and it was fantastic!! The atmosphere is lovely and so was our server. I decided to try the spicy Margarita and was shocked at the size of it and how spicy it was! My friends were kind enough to help me drink it otherwise I would not have been able to finish it. We loved their food and I look forward to going back to try other items on the menu. I had a small quesadilla with chicken and then I had a Shrimp stuffed pepper. It was amazing!! Next time I will get more than one. I don't remember what my friends got but I do know they cleaned their plates! What a lovely find and it is close to where I live when I am in the desert.

We love coming for happy hour I usually get the carne asada taco plate which isn't on the happy hour menu but I love having the margaritas or the chavales/micheladas! The chips & salsa are very good. The chile güeritos are the best always soo tasty! the happy hour menu does have some delicious plates which I've eaten before. The server was super friendly & attentive. I like the ambience & the music from old school rancheras to rock en español! I recommend stopping by & checking this place out!

Delicious lunch! Service was great too. We sat at the bar and were checked on multiple times throughout our lunch. I ordered their signature fajitas, hubby ordered ala carte chili rellano and a chili Colorado wet burrito. All was fantastic. The place was filled with Mexicans, who obviously know what Mexican food should taste like.

Excellent service, pretty good food, and I love the paintings on the restaurant's wall. I will be back the next time I'm in the area!! :) !

Chili Relleno and enchilada. (Sorry, I already took a bite before pic) it was AMAZING!!

FACILITY: Looks like a diner, is a diner, and very nice and clean. MENU: Many selections, breakfast options may be overwhelming but you'll definitely find something you want. Lunch offers very good but standard options. FOOD PREP: Always, very well done for that Louise's Pantry is, they don't fake anything here. FOOD QUALITY: Excellent for this style of food. It is a great experience. WAITSTAFF: We've been here many times, and never have we run across anyone not upbeat, polite, and happy to see a customer. OVERALL VALUE: A bit on the expensive side but considering the amount of food they bring you, it is a fair deal. TIP: Unless you are Mr. Creosote (bonus points if you know that one) for $2.00 you can get a split plate and still have a huge portion. We usually go this way respecting the seats we are taking up.

The eggs needed seasoning, and the country potatoes were dry and lacked flavor, with only a couple of small pieces of onion and red pepper mixed in. My husband had the hash browns instead and felt his breakfast was just as bland. The service was pleasant, and the atmosphere was relaxed, but we were seated next to a broom, dustpan, and the bus cart for dirty dishes, which wasn't the best first impression. The restaurant also feels a bit dated. A few simple updates, like replacing the dusty artificial flowers and keeping cleaning supplies out of sight, would make a big difference. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but with so many great breakfast options in the area, we probably wouldn't return.

The wait staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing--my coffee and water were constantly refilled without even having to ask, which always makes a difference. I ordered the BLTA along with their German pancake. The BLTA was exactly what you want--crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, creamy avocado, all put together on toasted bread, and paired perfectly with seasoned fries. Now the standout: the German pancake. Just a heads up--it takes about 15-20 minutes to come out, but it's 100% worth the wait. It's served hot, puffed up, and finished with powdered sugar and lemon. Light, slightly crisp on the edges, and soft in the middle--really well done. Overall, great food, great service, and a relaxed vibe. Definitely a place I'd come back to

You order inside and they give you this number where you take to your table and they will bring the food out to you. There is also napkins, and water inside for you to grab for yourself. As for the food, I am someone that loves trying different things in hopes I find something I really like, so far I have really enjoyed their cheese danish and butter croissant. I have yet to find my favorite dish from here as I was not a big fan of the chicken and waffles as the oil or sauce from the chicken spread under my waffles & sort of had this weird after taste that I didn't enjoy much. The breakfast burrito was huge and just okay I think if I would customize it a bit I would love it more and the chicken pesto sandwich so far has been something that I enjoyed a bit. Just personal experience as I've seen so many other really love those items. When I find my favorite meals I will come back and update. I do like to note that my boyfriend on the other hand has stayed loyal to their BLT + egg sandwich since our first visit and recommends me to try it so maybe that will be next on my list when I visit again. Their matcha is also okay, the notes are leaning vegetal and I just prefer a more nutty savory matcha. The strawberry syrup they add is pretty good. Wouldn't get it again though.
