Really delicious tacos!!! This place came highly recommended and for good reason. I ordered the 6 fiesta taco plate. This my favorite store of taco - small street tacos with just meat, cilantro and onion and hot sauce. Tripas meat was spectacular: Crispy, chewy, fatty and perfection! I also ordered a ln egg and potato taco and an egg and bacon taco - both excellent! I would definitely come back! Also the service was friendly and the restaurant is clean and well lit.

Such an amazing spot! The atmosphere here is wonderfully cozy and welcoming, the outside seating has such a great vibe. And that's not even the best part! The food is definitely one of the best tacos I've had in austin and the drinks are large and delicious!it came out so fast and the service was amazing. My only regret was not coming here sooner, I live down the street and definitely plan to be back!

What do you do after you walk 10 miles? Eat. My friend who grew up here in austin recommended El Taquito (and tbh we were in between this and another food truck). I'm so glad we came here. The atmosphere was quaint, had a salsa bar, a decent amount of seating and their own parking lot (woo!) We shared the queso fundido with chorizo, tostadas, 6 taquito special (bistec) & a pastor taco The pastor taco stood out the most and will be something I order again. As for the bistec, it was tender and flavorful just like the pastor. The tostada was basically a party on a chip and even with everything on it it stayed crispy and didn't break through. The fundido was delicious (a bit oily with the chorizo) but with any fundido you have to eat it quickly Safe to say I'll return #supportlocal

It is one of the best authentic Mexican street tacos. I came in with a big group, and we tried all the tacos that were on the menu, and they were all delicious. My favorite one was the Chorizo, it was really good. The hot sauce bar looked unattended until we asked them to refill, and they were nice about it to do so. The place looked ok and not so clean at the tables, but we'll the tacos were really good.

What's good in the world of Austin tacos? Well let me give you the 411! El Taquito is killing the game IMHO...a family friend and I decided we wanted to check out a few spots and this was the first...I almost said cancel the rest because El Taquito set the bar so high ...we went in to taste JUST tacos...no sides so here's the low low What did we order? Campechana - this one had me from the jump...3 meats! Bistek,Carnitas and AL Pastor sheeeeesh Bistek Los Famosos - Steak...I would call it Asada Carnitas - Awesome pork! How did it taste? Ummm damn good! I think that's a category. By far the Campechana was my favorite...the flavors were all on point and there's equal amounts of meat...complimented with the right portion of onions and cilantro!...keeping it classic is the way to my heart! The carnitas wooooo.. yessuh! Tasted fresh...they do make them to order...meaning it's not coming out of a warmer in to the tortilla. The Bistek was flavorful...only knock I had was it felt like they didn't cut the meat against the grain...big deal...chew a lil more it's still good Did I mention the corn tortillas were FRESH MADE! Final points El Taquito sits at the top of my list currently and it's because the food is super authentic ...the price of approximately $3.50 per taco and the amount of protein in the taco makes this a no Brainer! The fact that the corn tortillas are fresh made dammit man that's a winner....sorry no flour tortillas for a pureist! Like tacos...get yourself over to El Taquito..thank me later

What an awesome find!!!! We had everything from bean and cheese tacos, chorizo and egg tacos, mugs tacos, and tacos all pastor. Aquas Frescas de lemon and Pina were so fresh!!! This place is clean and well kept. Great music too. Food delivery was quick and care is taken with each order to ensure you were served just as ordered. Highly recommend.

Hidden gem off Riverside. Not crowded on a Friday night, lots of families in here just trying to get their taco fix. I'll follow them. I had the Al pastor tacos, the green salsa is delicious I put it on every bite !

Delicious food and even better salsas. I LOVE that this place has an open salsa bar. I went when it wasn't busy and it was nice to serve myself salsa on all my tacos haha. Tip: ask for your chiles rellenos with no salsa. Personally, I wasn't a fan of the tomato based sauce they put on my poblano Chile relleno, but it was fine since I got salsa from the bar.

Came here with the recommendation of a friend who said that these were the best tacos he's had and that my vegan/vegetarian friends should break their diet and eat meat because the tacos were that good. I thought I ordered their 3 specialty tacos but then the cashier told me to pick 2 meats. I ended up with a plate of 6 mini street tacos ($12ish) which I couldn't complain about. The tacos were filled with juicy and tender meat. They have a salsa bar with a bunch of different salsas to try. I also split nachos ($15ish) with a group of people. They don't give many chips but you can ask for more chips and they'll give you regular tortilla chips for free. Overall, not a bad stop for late night tacos. You can tell that they're a busy shop because there was a constant flow of people all night past 10pm on a Saturday.

ordering area. you can also place your order at the tablet as well but card only.

Is this the only restaurant in Texas that doesn't have their prices visible anywhere inside the establishment?

If you ask them for a menu the prices are listed, also.... There's two menu's and the narrow white one has some signature items not listed on the regular menu. Hope this helps!

Got parking right in front around 9 pm on a Wed. Upon entry was greeted by Melissa and sat in her section. The decor is very diner type with low, cozy booths and few tables and chairs. Not too big of a space and not sure if there is more seating elsewhere. Anyhoo, coffee was good and I got the Royal toast and a single pancake with eggs, and sausage. Ample amount of food and def had take away box. Everything was tasty and the buttermilk pancake was amazing with just syrup. Melissa was kind enough to provide little cups to take syrup home along with the tael away container. They had a daily special and a board above the kitchen with other items. We were both starving and this place is open 24/7. I drove by it for 20 years on the way to Avenue Barber Shop. I wanted shredded beef tacos but couldn't get them without cilantro so I chose shredded beef enchiladas (with an $8!) side of chips and salsa. My wife ordered scrambled eggs, bacon and home fries. She requested soft eggs, as she always does because too many places overcook them. The chips and salsa arrived. I was immediately disappointed. The menu said "we make our own chips." They were thick and yellow and appeared to be run-of-the-mill, out-of-a-bag chips. I prefer the thin white ones. I took one bite of salsa, and that was one bite too many. Cumin. I pushed it all aside. Cumin doesn't belong in salsa. (Sorry. I grew up in the Rio Grande Valley.) My enchiladas came with black beans, and there was cumin in them. Cumin is overused and abused in most restaurants. I couldn't eat them. The rice was good but the chipotle sauce on the enchiladas was not. I scraped most of the sauce off and ate one enchilada, mainly because I just needed something in my stomach. We were still 45 miles from home. I pushed my plate away. I also ordered coffee. One sip of that was all I could stand. Too weak for me. It gets worse, much worse. My wife's eggs were barely cooked. She asked the waiter for some cooked eggs. He took her plate and returned about four minutes later. The eggs were still not cooked. She tried another bite but couldn't eat them. Her bacon was tough as a boot and not chewable. The home fries were average, but by the time her plate arrived at our table for the second time, they were cold. I pulled my card out waiting for our excellent server to return. He asked how everything was (he had to notice two plates still covered with food) and we politely told him. I ate one enchilada and some rice. My wife had two bites of egg and two bites of potato. He apologized and handed me the check. $65. Nothing comped and nothing adjusted. A manager should've been summoned. How does a place like this have any customers? It was our first and last visit.

It's a small space, with only around eight tables and a tiny kitchen behind the counter. It's a bit hard to locate from outside. There's no big sign on the window indicating the restaurant's name, just a plastic A-frame sign outside the building's doors. When I got there, four of the eight tables were empty but the dirty dishes had not yet been cleared. It took close to 10 minutes for the tables to be bused. Because the kitchen is so small, I'd recommend going up to the counter to order as soon as you get there.
