Pueblo has been such a solid staple - either for takeaway or to chill at Cosmic. Good sized menu and I usually either go street tacos or regular tacos - mix it up between pastor and carne asada. Would like to try more things on the menu.

Yummy food truck by Meanwhile Brewing! We got some bean and cheese tacos for the kids and gorditas for us! Everything is fresh to order and perfect! We also got chips n queso and some salsa. Let me tell you - if they sold the salsa in jars I would buy it! In fact we had some friends meet us who didn't get any food but then tried and fell in love with salsa too. Highly recommend bc it all was delicious.

Had the al pastor quesadilla, it was very flavorful and delicious however it was super greasy. I know al pastor is typically pretty greasy but my quesadilla was dripping when I picked it up, so I dabbed quite a bit off. It was probably a combo of the meat and cheese that caused it to be like that. I wouldn't mind going back and trying some of their other items!

My friend and I met up at cosmic and there are three food trucks on site. We decided on Pueblo Viejo Traila as it looked and smelled amazing. I need to note that I am both dairy and gluten-free. I have food intolerances to both and most time cross contamination is okay. When speaking with the cashier he was not sure about a lot of my questions about whether or not I would be okay. I was a little apprehensive upon ordering and I stuck with items that are naturally gluten and dairy free. I ordered ceviche (on special) which came with two big corn chips for dipping. My friend ordered a taco and some guacamole. The ceviche was delicious and I would highly recommend it. I did have some of my friend's guacamole and it was exceptionally delicious and full of flavor. Overall I would recommend but I would not recommend it for those people with food allergies and be careful for those with food intolerance/sensitivities.

Pueblo Viejo is a solid spot for tacos. It's one of those places that you can count on, but necessarily crave all the time. My go to is the taco nes because steak and chorizo in it. I personally think it's the best thing on the menu. After that I rotate between al pastor, barbacoa, and chicken. Either way, solid spot!

My friends and I recently visited Cosmic Coffee where they have three food trucks (this being one of them). After getting my drink from inside of Cosmic, I walked over to this food truck and got into the line which was actually pretty long. At first I thought it was good that the line was a bit longer so that I would have some time to look over the menu as they have a good list of options, but the line moved quickly! I was so shocked at how quickly I was up to order and was very impressed with the hustle from inside the truck. While my experience took less than 15min, my friend waited over an hour at the other food truck... pick this one! I ordered the Quesadilla Plate with Chicken and a side of queso. I was immediately handed the chips and salsa (part of the quesadilla plate) and was told I would be texted when my order was ready. I walked to the table and before I could sit down... I had a text. The quesadilla had a good amount of cheese and chicken, all of the sides (beans, rice, guacamole) were tasty and the chips were fresh as well! The quest was nothing special but was good as well. Overall, this was a tasty meal that I would definitely order again!

I was craving tacos first thing when landed in Austin, and this place hit the spot perfectly! I got the pueblo viejo style, guac taco, and a few others all on corn tortillas, with a giant cup of horchata to make it absolutely perfect! You should come here on off hours because they do run out of inventory the busier and later the time you go. And seating in this outdoor food park does vary depending on the times as well.

I had just landed and met up with my best bud en route to St. Elmo and we passed by Cosmic, a coffee bar + beer garden and decided to make a pit stop, knowing that Leroy and Lewis was in the area - but alas, they were closed/out. With both of us fairly famished and about to make a night of it, we decided to give Pueblo Viejo a shot. Now I was really hungry, so I was debating between 3 or 4 tacos, but figured I'd start with 3 and see how I feel. I opted for the: Pueblo Viejo Style - steak, mushrooms, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and avocado Taco Nes - steak, chorizo, and lots of grilled onions with fresh cilantro and lime Lamb Barbacoa - lamb rib meat slowly cooked wrapped in roasted agave leaves and spices and service with fresh onion and cilantro Each of them were so freaking good! And sizeable/filling too! Only bummer was bummer was that I wasn't given the option for flour or corn tortilla, and got the flour - but other than that, a really satisfying experience and great start to my Austin food and beer tour!

*COVID UPDATE* This taco truck is inside the grounds of Cosmic Coffee and Beer. They have a big parking lot but it's usually full. There are a few street spots nearby. Masks are not required to dine outside. Bathroom is inside Cosmic. There's a terrible smell throughout the outdoor dining area. It made my dining experience worse than it had to be. My guess is the dumpsters at the corner. I got the migas with poblanos taco because people seem to really like it. It honestly was underwhelming. There was no flavor, just eggs. The Viejo taco was better tasting, but it was mostly beans! They're both massive tacos. If they increased the price to more than $4, I wouldn't bother coming back. Cosmic is great though.

Great taco food truck next to Cosmic coffee & cocktails. If you are looking for the typical "Austin vibe" - check out the food truck stop. We grabbed iced coffee at Cosmic and grab four tacos at Pueblo Viejo. The service is fast and the tacos are great! You can skip the line and order ahead.

Chicken and fish tacos. Sauces on the spicy side - happy dance!!
    Alexia G.

My tacos were outstanding. Between the chicken taco and the fish taco, it was everything I could have imagined! Tortillas had a slightly thicker texture than a lot I have been eating recently - something different. The chicken had so much flavor and spices. The fish was very fresh and the purple sliced cabbage on top really added something extra and that absolute crunch for a great texture. The chips here were ok....The salsa was very good! The food truck is in an excellent location with some other bites on the Cosmic coffee property so you can go and pick up some great brews.

Food truck located at Cosmic Coffee & Beer Garden. Overall it was a solid taco truck but the steak on the tacos was a bit tough. Other than that the tacked were a decent value and had good flavor.

    Vegetables taco, fish taco
    Tracey Z.

Cool food truck in Cosmic beer garden! Tasty tacos for a reasonable price. Tacos, quesadillas, salads - what more could you ask for. I got the veggie taco and the fish taco. Both were well seasoned and well prepared in a corn tortilla. I asked for green sauce to go with it, very spicy be warned. Would pass on the chips next time - not very flavorful, not super crisp, very oily.

I ordered the migas, and the amount of onions in the dish was overwhelming--so much so that it felt like I had ordered a plate of onions rather than migas. The masa cakes were definitely the standout item and were absolutely delicious. However, the rest of the dish fell short. The sauce was extremely rich, making it difficult to enjoy or finish the meal. That said, the restaurant itself is adorable, and our waiter was fantastic. The service and atmosphere were both great. While this breakfast wasn't a hit for me, I'll still return and stick with favorites like the fried green tomatoes and taquito salad, which were excellent during my previous visit.

Their burger is easily one of the best I've had in Austin, especially paired with their thin, crispy fries. It's my go-to order almost every time. One thing I love is that they switch up the steak portion of the menu a few times a year, and it never disappoints. Right now they have the steak au poivre, which is incredible, although I'm still craving their steak frites and hoping it makes a comeback. The escargot and French onion soup are also favorites of mine. At this point, June's has become a staple in our house--usually with a couple of Diet Cokes and either the burger or whatever steak they're featuring. A few of my friends swear by the chicken sandwich (fair warning: it can get a little messy!), the half roasted chicken, and the tuna crudo, so you really can't go wrong no matter what you order. On top of the amazing food, the staff is always incredibly kind and welcoming, which keeps us coming back. I definitely recommend making a reservation since it tends to get pretty busy, especially during peak hours.

While Magnolia Cafe is a longtime South Congress staple and a beloved Austin spot, my visit didn't quite live up to expectations. I met a group here for a pre-show meal and appreciated being seated promptly upon arrival, even though my entire party had not yet arrived. I ordered the chicken caldo soup, which was not served with avocado. The waitress did not check in with us immediately after the food was served but when I inquired about it I noticed there was an up charge on the bill for avocado. I recommend allowing the substitution of the tortilla chips with avocado in the future for a healthier alternative. However chicken caldo traditionally cones with avocado. I also tried the Mag nachos, with tortilla chips topped with black beans, cheddar/jack cheese, jalapeño, tomato, green onion, avocado and sour cream. These were very tasty and unlike the caldo, was served with avocado. The food took a while to come out and the service felt slower than expected. Magnolia has a great reputation, so I was hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, this visit fell short of expectations.
