It shut down without warning - too bad it was pretty good until the end. Real mom place but no initiative to keep it going.

This is very authentic Mexican food. No TexMex here. Highly recommended and the tacos and steak nachos are amazing.

I noticed a new appetizer menu so we opted to try two things from there. My husband had the ceviche Tostada and I had the mushroom Ceviche. He loved the tostada and o-m-g that mushroom ceviche hits it outta the park! So so so so good! Truly a unique dish with simple and fresh flavors. For entrees I had the mushroom tacos with corn and my husband has the mahi burrito. Both were phenomenal..we would definitely order these items again although I do want to expand to some of the other mushroom items. Overall amazing dinner with an beautiful view of Hollywood Beach. I have a feeling this place is going to become part of our regular rotation of fave spots!

(1) First up: the Baja Taco, which had Tempura-Battered Maji Maji, Pico, Sweet Onions, Flour Tortilla. The fish had an incredible crunch that gave way to the flaky, fresh fish beneath. Excellent. (2) Next: Short Rib Taco (Sweet, Savory, and Spicy, Au Jus/Ropa Vieja-esque, Flour Tortilla). The quality, on point. Like, not just good for a beach-side spot, flat out good. The Service and View. Yeni's service was world-class. Attentive, warm, and made the whole experience feel relaxed, amid a busy holiday. And, oceanfront seating on Memorial Day? Doesn't get much better than that. Overall. A killer oceanview, tacos that hit the mark, and top-tier service from Yeni, what more can you ask for? Already planning my next visit. #perfectafternoon

I think the food is good. Not great. Not fully "authentic". But it's good. Every taco is good. Rice is meh. Beans are decent. Salsas are decent (you have to ask for them). It's kind of a fiesta place near the beach. It's not a Michelin star restaurant. Have proper expectations and this place is awesome. The prices are low, and the drinks are strong depending on your server. It's easy, fun, cheap, and Mexican inspired. In general Florida doesn't have amazing Mexican food, and taco beach shack holds its own just fine.

She took my order of two crispy tacos and the appetizer was chips and pico de gallo . The pico de gallo was all tomato! The mojito drink I ordered was already watered down by the time she brought it to me. I was too tired to complain, this place needs better staff or at least staff that cares . The waitress was too busy socializing .

We started with the chips and salsa, which was very good. The red salsa definitely had some spice to it, but it was so flavorful. I ordered the chicken quesadilla and it was really good with plenty of chicken and melted cheese in every bite. We ended the meal with the tres leches cake, and I'm glad we did. It was soft, creamy, and not overly sweet, which made it the perfect dessert. Really enjoyed everything and I'll definitely be back.

The nachos arrived with enough confidence to challenge two healthy appetites (I'm 6'6", 250; my dining companion is 5'10", 210), and we barely made a dent. Generous portions are one thing; generous portions done well are another. Only then did the comparisons begin. I came into El Camino with the familiar Los Angeles calibration around Mexican cuisine--not superiority, just perspective. In Los Angeles, Mexican food is woven into the city's identity: Guelaguetza's mole, El Cholo's century-old traditions, Sonoratown's precision, even the old Red Onion era of Cal-Mex comfort that defined a different generation of neighborhood dining. El Camino doesn't try to recreate Los Angeles. It embraces its own South Florida rhythm, and that's precisely why it succeeds. Service was polished without ever feeling rehearsed. Nick, Dustin, and Arnav made hospitality look easy, while Alex--Wyatt Earp behind the bar--added the final flourish with expertly crafted cocktails. The atmosphere may be the restaurant's greatest strength. Lively without feeling chaotic, energetic without becoming overwhelming, it's the kind of place where conversations linger and people genuinely seem happy to be there. Different coast. Different rhythm. Same satisfaction.

We went as a group of 12, with some arriving before others; the service was terrible. When I arrived, my friends were ordering food, but the waiter completely ignored me. After waiting patiently for one hour without the waiter returning with food or even checking on the table, I had to go complain to the manager. Only then did the waiter finally reappear! I chose the Birria quesadilla ($16)--wow, it was delicious, and all my friends were satisfied with the food--but the service is simply horrible. Their website advertised a free tequila shot with any purchase for the May 5th specials; I'd like to know how a Mexican restaurant runs out of tequila. I don't know what they did, but they did end up bringing us our shots. I want to come back with my daughter because the food is truly tasty, and I hope the service will be different next time!
