Second time to visit. MUCH better than our first initial visit. Jesus assisted us and found him to be very helpful, friendly and professional. A little mix up at dinner, but Jesus was very quick to rectify the problem and even gave us sopapillas for dessert. Yum. Overall, the food and service was great and we can't wait to go back. My pix look weird because of the light that hung over our table.

Just saw this as we were driving and it happened to be lunch time, so we tried it and we are glad we did. Food and serving size was awesome. Food tasted and seasoned well. The server was nice and accommodating, service was fast enough to satisfy our growling bellies. Ambience was not too bad--typical Mexican restaurant feels. I had the tilapia and it was seasoned well, very tasty.

The restaurant looks like a lot of other small Mexican food places. The interior is not large but has plenty of tables and a fun Mexican feel. Service was prompt and Heather, our wait person, was friendly and attentive. The beer is cold and always goes well with Mexican food. We started with the chips and salsa. Chips are good but the salsa was bland. There was no heat or kick to it. I love nachos. I have eaten ones I love in Denver and keep trying to find ones I like as much in the DFW Metroplex. When I saw a Yelp picture of the loaded nachos at El Tequilas, I had to try them. The order I received looked just like the picture and I was excited. However, the flavor profile was odd. There is some pepper type flavor or seasoning, I think it was in the meat, that I didn't care for. Was not what I was expecting and I didn't get the "Mexican" flavors that I like. There was no kick or any flavor to get excited about. My husband ordered mini burritos. He said they tasted fine, nothing extraordinary. I must admit the plates are all really pretty to look at. Overall I was disappointed. Nothing really bad, just nothing that makes me want to come back.

out of 5: El Tequilas has quickly become our go-to when we're craving bomb street tacos. We've been several times over the past eight months and, to be honest, we order the same thing every time--because it hits every time: street tacos, rice and beans, chips and salsa. Simple, satisfying, no notes (well... almost). The charro beans are where it's at--definitely recommend subbing those in. The chips, on the other hand, could use some love. They have that store-bought taste, and fresh chips would seriously level up the whole experience. The bar area should be considered too-- maybe about 10 seats. TVs, good energy, and the perfect spot to catch a game with a margarita in hand. It's casual, flavorful Tex-Mex that always delivers. My dad's from the Valley and I can't wait to bring him here soon--will report back with his verdict!

Hard to eat when a group of women can't be quiet. There were a few tables around us and we kept looking at each other because it was over the top rude. We spoke to the waitress and all she did was shrug her shoulders . Also hard to get between tables. How do handicap patrons get it and around. On another note,The owner also posted some stuff that was not pro America so we won't be back.

You'll never go wrong here. I thought I previously posted a review with a well thought out wording, but since Yelp is giving me the option to review... this place never fails. I am attaching three photos from three separate trips here. Three separate trips? It is obviously worth it. Try it out and make it your new regular Mexican restaurant. Good food. Super friendly service. And a comfortable atmosphere.

Food was great. The cheese enchiladas were fantastic. The tortilla was perfectly cooked to the correct texture and the cheese was perfectly melted and stretchy. Chips are thin, crisp and warm. Fajitas were tender and a touch but heavy on the salt but very good. Drinks were excellent as well. Not overly syrupy. This place is a great local spot. The furnishings, music and TVs make for a great environment of entertainment. Can't go wrong here for local place.

It's a small place with a bar on one side and tables and booths on the other. You don't hear the bar but the place is pretty crammed so it very loud. Service was great but order a Coke and they bring Pepsi. As you all know; Coke is NOT Pepsi but if you're a Pepsi fan, they've got you covered. Telenovelas were playing when we arrived but switched to wrestling which I don't dig watching when I eat. Light, crispy warm chips with the right amount of punch to the salsa. Flavorful but not on fire. Entrees were okay.

Firstly, our waitress, Alyssa was amazing. She was nice and very attentive. They are offering new menu items since we were here last some of the the times are: pork shanks, Piña al Tequilas, asada de puerco, and they brought back Diablo shrimp! New appetizers as well. We tried the stuffed taters and I was not impressed they looked pretty but the inside ingredients were all mush and not what I was hoping for with the stuffing description it was more like large croquettes. The piño al tequilas was showy and fun. They light it on fire and it is served in half a pineapple as you would expect. I am a fan of this dish and was excited to see it on the menu. The flavor of the piña al tequilas was only okay. Not the best I have had but not bad. The strangest thing tonight was the salsa. They are using a different recipe both their regular salsa and salsa Verde have a lot of black pepper in them. So if you are a black pepper fan, you will love it.

What is not to love? As we're celebrating our 55th anniversary this month we were presented with a lovely, complementary sparkly rose. As today is Cinco de Mayo a Margarita was in order and the house pour was lovely. We shared a bottle of California Sauvignon Blanc to accompany the Ceviche Tatemado followed by the Tacos de Barbacoa which is the Tuesday lunch special. Both the ceviche and barbacoa tacos were just so enjoyable. The striped bass and octopus ceviche here is a unique preparation that sings in the tangy lime and Serrano vinaigrette in which it is prepared. The barbacoa is so flavorful and tender; and the thin, house made flour tortilla is fried crispy on the flat top before being filled. So good.

Servers provided a great experience aside from a bunch of flies (ate outside on the patio and were waving at flys most of the night). Three stars for the prices. We are an entirely vegetarian meal with no alcohol and paid $400 for a party of six...and we were sharing (yes, you read that correctly). $13 for a side of Mexican rice. $18 for essentially a side mashed potatoes. $16 for grilled vegetables. And the portions were SMALL. We were sharing across four adults and three kids and everyone only ended up getting a tiny amount. It was really difficult believing we were receiving any real value...it felt like the Don and figured out how to have unsuspecting guests pay double! It to say this isn't a legit high-end Mexican restaurant, it is. But I would more realistically describe it as a high-end steak house with wrap-around Mexican dishes (which explains why the side prices were so extreme). Kids quesadillas with steak were $17 a piece with no sides other than potato chips (a little odd given the context). Anyway, I'll end it where I began...food was good, servers were great...but just not worth the price. If the bill had been half or the portions were larger, it would have felt like we were actually getting value for our money.

I ordered take out and sat at the bar while I waited for my entree.Ordered two drinks while I waited, got the one at the top of the menu and a skinny margarita and they tasted exactly the same ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ they got the job done and were fine. Food: I got the enchiladas three ways with steak. You can take the regular three sauces or choose just one if you'd like. Green sauce is the best, white sauce is pretty good, and the red mole is fine but I wish I would have swapped it out with the spicy almost (orange) sauce that comes with the seafood enchiladas. That sauce looks so good! My partner did not like the red sauce at all, again I thought it was fine just not amazing like the other two. Beans and rice are good, nothing special. Nothing wrong with the chips and salsa just run of the mill. Other thoughts: I wish I had just ate my food at the bar instead of ordering take out. Bar seats are comfortable, views of a tv for anyone sitting at the bar, and it's just a nice comfortable atmosphere in there. The hostess and bar tenders I interacted with provided great service.

They're your typical trendy taco place, with their own selection of merchandise and crazy/cheesy jokes strewn about on t-shirts and signage. They have an ample bar space, but it looked like only one patron was interested in that; the rest of us were there to eat. You order your food at the counter and get a buzzer to come back and pick it up. The staff is friendly enough, but you don't really interact with them much since it's all pretty much self service after you go to the counter. The drink station has cane sugar based sodas; it's a bit heavy on the foam, but otherwise good. We opted for the birria pizza, a couple of cups of pozole, and a side of elote. Everything was solid. The elote was good, not great, but the pozole really hit the spot given how cold it was outside. The birria pizza is what blew me away, though. This was easily one of the most unique, but tasty, things I've ever had. It's not really a pizza, more like a topped quesadilla, but they did a great job of it. I'd not only come back here next time I'm in Fort Worth, I'd be interested in opening a location in Houston if I had the money to franchise it.
