This spot used to be occupied by Vice Versa coffee, so it was a little like deja vu swinging by for a cup. Staff is nice, they are quick to welcome you in and say goodbye when you leave. I like the layout and the overall look inside. Very southwestern feel to it - including murals. The cortado was alright. Not the greatest. Since it was served in a paper cup, it had that distinct "paper cup" flavor. At least it wasn't watery. The butter toffee latte was lovely. It was buttery and sweet and it made the taco more palatable. The taco was a huge disappointment. I ordered a potato, egg, and cheese taco and something felt "off" about it while I was eating it. It was overly salty, the potato was mushy and I couldn't tell where they ended and the eggs began, and the tortilla was very gummy. It wasn't until I turned over the aluminum foil when I noticed it was a vegan taco, where everything had soybean oil in it. Nothing wrong with a little soybean oil but it was in EVERYTHING. The location is super cute, so I might give it a second chance sometime in the future. In the mean time, stick with the milk-based drinks.

Such a great spot to grab coffee and breakfast tacos! It's only about a 10 minute walk from the convention center, which makes it super convenient if you're in town for an event. I loved the artistic decor- it gives the place such a fun and creative vibe. My coffee tasted amazing, and I tried the Soyrizo breakfast tacos (vegan) with potatoes and tofu. so delish. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to next time I'm in San Antonio!

I stopped by El Tigre for a coffee last weekend when I was in San Antonio visiting family, and I loved it. My cappuccino was great (they have a full menu of coffee - and they serve food - but I'm pretty basic when it comes to my coffee choices). The decor is great - I loved my seat by the front window looking out across the street to the historic Sunset Train Station; I loved the breeze block wall; I love the cool floors and the tiled bar and the logo. There's plenty of seating. There's a public paid parking lot across the street (the first hour was free on the day I stopped by), but there's street parking around, too. And the customer service couldn't have been better! I loved my experience. I'd love to come back next time I visit.

    Cappuccino and macchiato

Calm and casual cafe with great coffee! They know their stuff and have one of the best cappuccinos in the area. When I ordered the macchiato, they asked me if I wanted it the "Starbucks way" or the "real way" and I took the chance and got it the "real way". The Starbucks macchiato is definitely different from a real macchiato!!! So just be mindful that they serve authentic coffee here. Their barbacoa tacos were surprisingly amazing! Who would have guessed a coffee should would have the best barbacoa? I think the tacos were so juicy and I love the toppings. I had to go back and order seconds! The cafe is very spacious and very calm. I see people doing work here or just relaxing on the couch. Very good vibes.

Stopped by right at opening. Parking can be a little annoying but I came early enough and didn't have to walk far. I got a plain latte which I took to go. Definitely enjoyed it. They were cooking breakfast and smelled really good inside. There's a beautiful view from inside the cafe out to st Pauls square. Wish I had had more time to sit and enjoy the lovely view. Service was fast and friendly! Stop by!

Fairly new coffee spot with a lot of potential. I got a caramel macchiato which was delicious and my husband got the cinnamon roll that was quickly scarfed down so I can only assume he enjoyed it lol. The barista was nice and the quiet atmosphere was perfect for our early morning visit. Over all we really enjoyed this spot for a quick morning date.

I didn't even know this nice little quaint coffee shop was located in the St. Paul Square area. They have a great selection of coffee and espresso drink items on their menu. They have a nice spacious coffee shop with great decor. I really like the artwork inside. The coffee shop attendant was really nice and help me make a great choice with my Matcha tea. They do have some Little snack food items for sale. Also great place to come any time for meetings, just to chill out, lunchtime, or anytime is a great time for coffee.

Got a cold brew (with oat milk and butter toffee syrup) and a pepperoni, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich. Absolutely amazing!! Definitely a great place to grab breakfast from in the morning. Will be back soon!

Avocado toast with honey butter tahini

I enjoyed a honey oat latte with cinnamon and their avocado toast with honey butter tahini. The avocado toast was creamy, hearty, salty, delicious! And the coffee was solid, not too sweet but sweet enough. The coffee could've been stronger, but it was still delicious. The space is NICE. Spacious, lots of tables to work or study or chat. Big windows that lets the natural light in. Super clean space. And the staff was ultra friendly and laid back. I'd come back again to try the other things on their menu.

Coffee Shop No. 514 Shotgun House Coffee Roasters…read moreSan Antonio, TX June 12, 2025 Shotgun House Coffee Roasters is located in an old warehouse. The space is open and bright, but there are many neat nooks with different seating. Has a very industrial feel, but welcoming at the same time. The decor is eclectic. In one spot you'll find an out of place yet placed chandelier. Be sure to look around because the walls are painted with vibrant colors, uniques images on the wall, and mismatched furniture. Somehow the space works. It's inviting and memorable. After exploring the inside go check out their garden area. I was in awe by the large heavy antique iron door. I examined the door daydreaming of the stories it could tell. I found the barista to be quirky and fun. He has a lot of knowledge about coffee, suggested some other local coffee shops, and even gave us a brief rundown of the coffee scene and its history in San Antonio. Besides being easy going and laid back, the barista made a fantastic cortado in the most unique vessel I have ever drank a cortado from; a 4-ounce mini quilted Ball jar. What a brilliant and creative way to serve a cortado. It's a fool's proof way to ensure the a perfect milk to espresso ratio. I had a wonderful experience at Shotgun House Coffee Roasters; it will definitely go down as one of my most memorable interactions with a barista. Enjoying life one cortado at a time!

Summer Moon Coffee is great and this location is no exception. They specialize in sweeter, calorically dense, caffeinated beverages, with their signature Moon Milk being a stand out and my usual go to. They offer varying levels of sweetness, so everyone has the opportunity to dial in the beverage to their liking. They offer all the traditional coffee house staples as well, but I haven't personally tried any of those and can't speak to their quality. Prices are comparable to other coffee chains in the area. Ambient noise level inside the cafe was low and would be a well suited location to get some work done or study, several patrons seemed to be doing so. They offer WiFi, and the Verizon 5G signal was very strong inside. This location is a part of the Tripoint complex, shared with the D.R. Semmes Family YMCA and Trinity Baptist Church. Definitely worth stopping by for your caffeine fix after a workout if you're already in the area, but probably not a location I would come to for just the coffee. Things worth knowing ahead of time: They offer a drive through in you're in a hurry or stopping by on your way to work. Their restrooms are located just outside of the cafe area and shared by the church they share the building with.
