Bakery Lorraine is one of my favorite places to visit. I live nearby so I come often for a sweet treat or to enjoy a savory breakfast. The menu has something for everyone! The breakfast quiche is divine and one of my favorites. I could go on and on about the bakery items so you'll have to come check em out for yourself! It's usually fairly busy so the service feels a tad rushed sometimes but the employees are friendly. There are plenty of tables, inside and out. We went to the pearl for the farmers market and decided to walk in here to get a coffee. The restaurant was full of art pieces on of them I knew the artist since his been a big part of the community. Went in line to check out the bakery so many pastries to choice from sadly I was full from the food at the market but next time I would stop to grab a bit here. Bakery Lorraine at the Pearl is in a wonderful location for breakfast or lunch while visiting the Pearl complex. Their food and baked goods are spectacular, I love to get their chicken salad sandwich on a croissant and pair it with soup. I also take home some treats for later. I highly recommend the cinnamon roll, home made pop tarts, and their amazing macaroons. They offer them in a variety of melt in your mouth flavors. I really like the French cafe decor and the outdoor seating area with the beautiful views of the Pearl Brewery. The lines can get long as it is counter service but the staff moves the line well. I went into this bakery because it looked beautiful and it was packed. However, my café was not so great especially for five dollars. But the cookies we got were very good so I think it just depends on what you want. All the staff was super friendly and nice and the restaurant was very clean and nice ambiance. I took my sweet time finding what I wanted and loved looking at all they had to offer. Great indoor seating also outside available. Lots of people working here , yes this laptop people! It's pretty noisy in here too. You order at the counter and then they bring to your table. I got the pain au chocolat with a cappuccino which I asked for in a real mug since they said they have them. My friend had the latte and an almond croissant. It took awhile for it to come out but they were busy I guess. My cappuccino came in a paper cup though so I told the sever I had asked for a mug. They took it back and poured into a mug so I lost the pretty design . Oh well. The croissant was delicious, flaky and nice thick layer of chocolate inside the layers. Plus even better warmed up. I found the Bakery Lorraine while I was killing time in the Pearl district. I was already caffeinated from enjoying one of the nearby cafés, but decided to grab a snack. I tried the cheesecake which was really interesting. For the most part I enjoyed the slice, but it did taste a little stale. If I went back, I'd probably try something else. Bakery Lorraine is a must when visiting The Pearl! This amazing bakery specializes in French pastries ranging from macaron, cakes, viennoisseries, and breakfast pastries. Besides their amazing pastries, they also have a fabulous breakfast and lunch menu which is a must. Some of my favorite items from their menu are their avocado on toast, BLT sandwich and Cuban sandwich. If you are not that hungry, you can never go wrong with a box of their delicious macaron! Also, if you are looking for some pies for your thanksgiving dinner, make sure to check out Bakery Lorraine! They have some amazing thanksgiving pie options and you can always place your order a couple weeks in advance (I believe that's what is preferred). Last but not least, I really love how Bakery Lorraine partners with different local nonprofits to give back a portion of the sales of a specific baked good to help them. First time to the pearl district and this place looks like a hit! We waited in line for a bit but then decided to order outside from the walk up window. We were only ordering drinks as we had just purchased pastries from the market nearby. We were not in a rush so we had the luxury of taking it all in as we waited for our iced brown sugar lattes. My friends and I came here after dinner around 7, they close at 8. There were only macarons left, so at first we thought about going somewhere else. But they had so many fun flavors that we decided to try a small box, and they were actually so good. I don't usually like macarons, but I'd totally get these again. I asked the man serving our macaroon since they weren't serving food anymore what the most popular coffee was and he said "idk just pick one" Then mad dogged me the entire time I was there. We stumbled upon this bakery while visiting the Pearl and I am so glad we did. I got a chocolate croissant, BL BLT sandwich and a brown sugar latte, all of which exceeded my expectations. I asked for the croissant to be warmed it and it was super flakey and buttery! The BLT definitely stole the show for me. I loved how the bacon was thin and crispy, how thin and chewy the bread was and the perfect amount of avocado. We came in on a Sunday about 11am and it was getting pretty busy, most of the tables were taken. We ran across this French bakery while exploring the pearl, they have a good selection of pastries and macrons , I ended up getting the rum cake which was fantastic , not too sweet and had walnut pieces inside. The rum flavor was a bit heavy but really enjoyed it. I also got a matcha latte which was average, I like it stronger but the flavor was not very prominent.
