My team took me here to have a little baby shower, the restaurant is beautiful. I wish I had our servers name! When I went to order I made a comment about being sad I couldn't have the stuff that wasn't cooked and I'm so thankful she told me they would cook any protein I was looking at. This place used to be Mas Fuego. I ordered the 3 taco plate. The tacos consisted of of a corn tortilla each soaked in oil, not even crunchy. Suggestion to restaurant: please put another tortilla in the tacos. After adding salsa the whole thing crumbles in half! :( You have your choice of two proteins out of 5 meats. The carnita meat was delicious but oily AF. The ribeye meat was good but could've been more tender. They put cotija cheese, pico, avocado bits and a slightly spicy red salsa on it served with lemon and nothing else. No chip, no salsa, nada. The service was stellar. The bartender at moment, Luis, was able to explain the menu and recommended us great food and drink options. I ended up ordering a couple of mojitos (definitely order the raspberry mojito, you will thank me later) and the aguachile negro! Overall, I will definitely recommend this place for its unique atmosphere and the costumer service. Luis went on and beyond to make sure we had a great experience despite of having a full bar. My wife and I ordered the sushi without Philadelphia cream cheese and they brought hers and mine WITH the Philadelphia cream cheese we specifically told the waitress not to include. She eventually brought her order out without the cream cheese(an hour after we sat down) and told me they were still working on mine. After another 20 minutes I stood up and went over to the waitress to tell her to cancel my order because everyone was finished eating. Last time I had to wait this long for an order at a restaurant was like 30 years ago. Never going back to this place again. Almost $30 for a roll. Incredible. read more

The drink I ordered looked completely different from the picture on the menu - what I received was underwhelming and didn't match the presentation at all. I also ordered the molcajete, and it was missing nopales, which are typically a standard part of the dish. It felt incomplete and not true to what was advertised. This dish cost $68, there should have been better communication. Their reasoning was that they " were out " .This was only communicated once I asked and in no way was there an apology or any time of efforts to make this right . So the sign outside says Mas Fuego and have been wanting to try. I guess it was renamed. On Yelp it says Mas Fuego is permanently closed and this place should probably be too. The service was horrible. It started out good; they were nice and smiles and seated us right away. It is nicely decorated but the music was so loud you couldn't have a conversation. We were sat there for a good 10-15 minutes and no one ever came to get our drinks or order even when a waitress came by and was serving the table behind us. She didn't stop at ours and just ignored us as she walked by Very disappointed. We ended up walking out and didn't get a chance to try the food so no reviews on that. read more

This is a complaint about ridiculous pricing - not service or experience. Stopped into this spot for the first time after always passing it on my way home. Ordered one Coors Light (tall pour) and could not believe the price. If I'm paying almost $15 for ONE Coors Light - tall pour or not - I better be at an airport or an amusement park. I should've went on my gut feeling with an empty parking lot with cars, parsley parked the hostess sat me down right away, took forever for somebody to come and take my drink order, which all I ordered was rice then I ended up ordering chips and salsa and my entrée. The restaurant is beautiful inside. Music was loud when we entered, but we asked them to turn it down and they were very nice about it and turned it down immediately. Our server Mirta was terrific. She kept an eye on our water glasses, noticed which salsas we were eating most and brought more when we were low. The tres leches cake and poached pear desserts were amazing... I'm glad I didn't read the previous reviews before I went because they would have turned me off. But I strongly disagree with the bad reviews. Service with Mirta was terrific, the food was amazing, and they turned the music down without any issue whatsoever. We went in for happy hour at 5 pm on a Tues evening. We asked about the HH and she stated $3 off beer and cocktails and 50% off apps. We pointed at the beer menu listed for $8. With HH, should be $3 off so $5 beer. Our waitress Mirta came back with extra large beers (like octoberfest sized beers) and when we asked how this could cost $5 as we pointed to the $8 menu again, she replied "those beers are very small, like 9 ounces... like water glass". We thought strange that beers would come in 9 oz but shrugged it off as a simple mistake. We asked how much were the beers she gave us and ahe replied $14. Again, not trying to be difficult but found it strange that she didn't even try to fix the obvious problem when we pointed it out. Then the bill came and noticed that the 2 $14 beers and 4 apps we ordered for HH were all listed at regular prices (it was still HH mind you). When we brought this to her attention, she simply said "I will fix it" and walked away. The thing is, she wasn't surprised or apologetic as would be the normal behavior so I got the feeling she knew what she was doing with the beers and the bill all along. As I've worked in the service industry before, I still left a good tip and paid my $75. BUT the final yuck was as we were leaving, she cheerily said to us, "please leave me a good review on yelp and when you come back, aak for me, and I will really treat you guys well then".
