We have Tuna tostadas and Medallion De Tuna, and they're so goooood!! Service and atmosphere are 6/5 My family will definitely come back again. The drink menu looks good so we will be back

Pineapple aguachile *** I got mango because they were out of the pineapple BUT I preferred the mango it was perfect*

My team took me here to have a little baby shower, the restaurant is beautiful. I wish I had our servers name! When I went to order I made a comment about being sad I couldn't have the stuff that wasn't cooked and I'm so thankful she told me they would cook any protein I was looking at. The pricing is a little expensive but if I'm going to love every bite of my food then it's worth it! Also the strawberry horchata was delicious and I loved every bite of my aguachile. I can't wait to go back! The only reason for 4 stars is because the bathroom had a strong sewage smell, hopefully that was fixed

This place used to be Mas Fuego. I ordered the 3 taco plate. The tacos consisted of of a corn tortilla each soaked in oil, not even crunchy. Suggestion to restaurant: please put another tortilla in the tacos. After adding salsa the whole thing crumbles in half! :( You have your choice of two proteins out of 5 meats. The carnita meat was delicious but oily AF. The ribeye meat was good but could've been more tender. They put cotija cheese, pico, avocado bits and a slightly spicy red salsa on it served with lemon and nothing else. No chip, no salsa, nada. The service was stellar. As for ambience, it's half restaurant and 1/2 sports bar. Kinda noisy. 5 tv's in restaurant area and 3 in bar area. I would come back.

    Chicken flautas

The chicken flautas are delicious! Nice ambiance, easy parking. Alexandria is an amazing server; very attentive and gave great recommendations. We will be back.

Molcajete advertised to have nopales , but didn't have them because " they were out "
    Brianda M.

Came here with high hopes, but unfortunately left pretty disappointed. The drink I ordered looked completely different from the picture on the menu - what I received was underwhelming and didn't match the presentation at all. I also ordered the molcajete, and it was missing nopales, which are typically a standard part of the dish. It felt incomplete and not true to what was advertised. This dish cost $68, there should have been better communication. Their reasoning was that they " were out " .This was only communicated once I asked and in no way was there an apology or any time of efforts to make this right . I visited this establishment at around 11am on a Sunday. Overall, the experience didn't live up to expectations. Hoping they improve consistency between what's shown and what's actually served.

The food was delicious. I don't remember the name of the foods we ordered but was tasty. Our server Mirta Castaneda was excellent. She was very kind, and nice. She was able to help us explain the sushi we've ordered. The restaurant was decorated so beautiful. Very high class.

So the sign outside says Mas Fuego and have been wanting to try. I guess it was renamed. On Yelp it says Mas Fuego is permanently closed and this place should probably be too. The service was horrible. It started out good; they were nice and smiles and seated us right away. It is nicely decorated but the music was so loud you couldn't have a conversation. We were sat there for a good 10-15 minutes and no one ever came to get our drinks or order even when a waitress came by and was serving the table behind us. She didn't stop at ours and just ignored us as she walked by Very disappointed. We ended up walking out and didn't get a chance to try the food so no reviews on that.

I came to this restaurant for dinner, I don't have a high expectation, but I think the Mexican food shouldn't went wrong at all. The food is very disappointed. Definitely overpriced.

This is a complaint about ridiculous pricing - not service or experience. Stopped into this spot for the first time after always passing it on my way home. Ordered one Coors Light (tall pour) and could not believe the price. If I'm paying almost $15 for ONE Coors Light - tall pour or not - I better be at an airport or an amusement park. That price for a cheap domestic lager is absolutely laughable. I'll keep driving by on my way home from now on until another business inevitably assumes this location.

    Pulpo Zarandeado and Filet Mignon
    Patricia M.

We came in on a Saturday afternoon and sat down right away. The place is beautiful and has such a great atmosphere. We ordered the Pulpo Zarandeado y the Filet Mignon steak medium rare, everything was so good and so flavorful, my favorite was definitely the Pulpo, it was cooked to perfection. Our waitress Claudia provided excellent service! Very attentive and checked on us throughout the meal. We will definitely be back!

Right when you walk in, everyone was friendly and welcoming. It was a busy Saturday evening, but we were seated pretty quickly. Our waitress was also so friendly, and our food came out FAST and piping hot! In our past experiences at other crab boil restaurants, it can take forever just to get a table, let alone get your food. So we really appreciated how quickly everything came out here! Now, THE FOOD! My hubby and I both got the Dungeness crab with the mild Cajun & garlic butter seasoning. It came with potatoes and corn, and we also added a side of rice and the Cajun fries. The seasoning was SO good! It had plenty of flavor without being overly salty. The crab was delicious and cooked perfectly. And those Cajun fries?! They were super crispy and seasoned to perfection! The only thing I would have changed was that we weren't given any crab crackers or tools to help us get into the crab. We actually thought they didn't have any at first. We later asked and were provided with some, but it would have been nice if they were offered or brought out with our gloves and bibs since we ordered crab. Other than that, I really enjoyed our experience! I especially loved that the restaurant has a more relaxed atmosphere compared to some other crab boil spots. The seats were comfortable, the music wasn't extremely loud, and it still had a fun vibe while being quiet enough for us to actually have a conversation. Overall, I'm giving Captain Crab a 10/10! We'll definitely be back!

Shout out for West Sacramento…read more.. Did you know that right in West Sacramento there is a seafood stand selling fresh sustainable caught hook n line fish plucked from the Bodega Bay? Well know you do... Ferrari Fisheries has a stand that sells black cod, ling cod, red snapper which all are year round catches; and seasonal Dungeness crab and salmon. When they have a fresh caught batch; they text their customers what is available catch, and time & date. To get their text notifications; you can sign up on their website. I was fortunate enough to get to their stand early enough on a notification day to buy a couple of Dungeness crabs. The crabs were live, priced at $11/pound. Awesome price! When you get to the stand, there are two lines. The first line you want to get into is the one nearest the big containers where the fish on ice or crabs are kept. If you want your fish filleted, let them know. It is a complimentary service. Then you head into the other line to pay. They take cash and card, I'm not sure about other payment types. Keep in mind, the inventory sells quickly especially the seasonal items. Folks queue up earlier than the opening time stated in the texts. The start time was 10am; I got there at 10:20 am. They sold out as I was leaving the stand. Anthony (owner and fishing captain), his wife, and team are terrific. They all were helpful and had the best attitudes. Welcoming. I'm sure they answer the same questions over and over. But when talking with each customer, they were engaged and provided individual attention. Top notch customer service!

It is a very casual setup, so do not expect an elevated dining experience. We ordered the FOB shrimp and the Chicken Katsu plate. The shrimp arrived a bit too sour and noticeably greasy for my taste. The Chicken Katsu was average and lacked the flavor and crispness I was hoping for. The macaroni and cheese that came with it was also quite dry, which made the plate feel incomplete. Service is minimal since you order at the counter and pick up your food yourself. I went in with high expectations and left feeling disappointed, especially considering how popular the place seems to be. That said, I am still open to giving it another try. There are a few other dishes on the menu that look promising, and I hope they will deliver a better impression on my next visit.

Honestly, I'm so…read moresad it's been so long since my last visit, because this place serves up some amazing food. The menu changes depending on what they're making, but they have certain items that are pretty consistent. One of those is poke. I LOVE their poke here, they have their own seasoned poke mix with fresh fish, veggies and sauce and it is delicious. They offer it as nachos, a bowl, or loaded fries and while I'm tempted to try some of the other options the bowl is my go-to. The poke bowl is $15 and comes with rice with furikake as well as a good portion of poke. Like I mentioned, it's preseasoned and it delicious. The ingredients are fresh and I love their flavor combination. I would love if the bowl came with a scoop of mac salad, but with the portion at this price I'm happy to add it as a side. I ordered the spring rolls ($4) and it came with five pieces of crispy and flavorful fried spring rolls. Great value for the price. I also ordered the pork laulau ($14) and Musubi ($3) for my husband and the portions on these were also great. The musubi was hot and flavorful and they gave me some FOB sauce with the musubi that went surprising well together. The laulau plate had mac salad, rice, and the wrapped pork. The pork was fattier than some of the laulau I've had in Hawaii, but was flavorful and the whole plate was a perfect portion for the price. The team working here was very friendly and helped me get in and out with my to-go order pretty quickly. The food was packed with care and made it home and was still nice and hot after the drive. They use high quality to-go containers and line them with aluminum foil which is a nice touch. They also made sure the vents were open on the spring rolls so they'd stay crispy. They have plenty of seating inside, as well as some outdoor seating. This restaurant is a bit tucked away, but has plenty of parking. I will definitely be back, and I won't wait as long between visits, because the food is so good! Check out their instagram for specials.

It's clean and modern inside, with a nice open feel despite having a pretty large capacity for the size! We got the spicy garlic edamame to start, which was nice and flavorful with the edamame not being overcooked or mushy - this was a really generous portion and perfect for sharing. One of my friends shared the mystery box ($60) and an order of the ocean trout and scallop nigiri which come 2 pieces to the order. All of the fish was fresh, generously portioned, and beautifully presented. My favorites are probably the ocean trout, the scallop, and the salmon. The mystery box with the edamame as n appetizer and 2 nigiri was definitely enough food, but since everything was so fresh and tasty we also got a superstar roll ($22) to share between the 3 of us -bthis was also super tasty and nice to have as it was a bit more flavorful than the sashimi alone in the mystery box (though we really enjoyed the pickled wasabi provided with the box). Overall, Chef Frank is a good option for a nice dinner out with friends and offers a nice variety of good quality fish options!

I brought family in from the Bay Area to Chef Frank's, and it did not disappoint. The ambiance strikes that perfect balance--chill and casual, yet still elevated enough for a special occasion. We kicked things off with a mix of plain and spicy edamame, followed by two orders of my husband's favorite shrimp tempura and three orders of my go-to rainbow roll. Everything came out fresh and beautifully presented. A particularly special moment--my 88-year-old father made the trip to Sacramento after seven years (his first visit since my mom passed) and he truly enjoyed the beef/salmon bento box. That alone made the night meaningful. We also ordered additional specialty rolls with unagi and shrimp tempura for the non-celiac guests, and for our main event, the table indulged in three large sashimi platters. The fish was impeccably fresh, artfully arranged over ice--this is where they consistently shine. To top it all off, the birthday girls (my sister and my nephew's girlfriend) were treated to complimentary desserts--cheesecake and panna cotta--which was such a thoughtful touch. The ladies paired the evening with glasses of Cabernet, another personal favorite. Overall, it was a memorable night filled with great food, attentive service, and special family moments. Check out the photos--we had an amazing time! Pro tip: Whether you're dining with a small group or a large party, make reservations to ensure smooth seating.
