    Camarones a la Kora
    Miguel R.

Service, food, and ambiance are always good at this place. I've been here several times and never had an issue with the server or wait times. I like sitting at the bar with my friends. My favorite drink here is the michelada, but I ultimately prefer the Cadillac margaritas. For food, the tacos or butterflied camarones à la Kora are great! I've even placed a couple of to-go orders--I usually get the tortas ahogadas, which are also very delicious. The portions are very good for the price.

Sunday is for menudo. Had to come to this authentic Taqueria on Northgate. Great prices & many options on menu. Menudo served nice and hot and full of flavor. They are not greedy with the meat or hominy. Served with handmade corn tortillas which were a good size and delicious. Even took some home to make some quesadillas. Also ordered a shrimp cocktail, which was huge plenty of shrimp inside the cocktail. I just added my fixings to it and flavored it up to my liking. Restaurant was busy but food came out fast and service is always great.

I order the chili relleno plate. Great price and portions here. The food was excellent and the service was super fast. 10/10 would go again

The food here was delicious and so filling! The service the staff provided was amazing. They have a self service chip and salsa area which I loved! And the vibes at this restaurant were lively and friendly!

I ordered a burrito de carne asada and a pozole to go and they were so amazing, filled with flavor and the pozole was the best

I ordered a burrito de carne asada and a pozole to go, this was my second time at this restaurant and the staff was so friendly and had my food out in a timely amount of time. This was my second time having the pozole here and it always hits the spot.

This place is pretty good, I haven't been here in awhile but went in yesterday and they moved their menu and it looks really cute. The miche was really good and I normally don't care for them. The crispy tacos are always really good but one thing I would like to suggest is them clean the shrimp before cooking and it would be perfect. Friendly service, they checked on us more than once.

Cabeza, lengua y carne adada super taco. ¡Delicioso!

The tacos here still live up to the expectations I have of them. Their prices went up a little so it's $10 for 3 taqueria tacos but that's good for me. They still have a decent salsa bar and the chips are good. They changed the order counter to the room without the bar. It was alarming at first but it's better for everyone. They lost the menu board and sadly, like all eager-to-raise-prices businesses, they adopted TV monitors for the menu. Sigh. Anyway, when I came in a few days ago, everyone was wonderful from polite customers to helpful staff. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food (and we're not talking about fattening rice & beans - although I think they have them), you need to come here. Growing up in and near San Jose, this spot feels like home. Which, like East San Jose, violence happens in the area - it is Northgate. Just be smart, be kind, and you'll be just fine.

My favorite place to get a burrito in natomas. This time went with jumbo super carne asada.

Great authentic Mexican food, we were looking for vegetarian options, which they were able to accommodate. We had the vegetarian fajita platter along with vegetarian sopes. Their Michelada was excellent also.

The tiki drinks were absolutely wonderful and arrived with the kind of amazing presentation that makes you want to just stare at them for a minute before diving in. We also snacked on some great little bites that were the perfect pairing for the tropical flavors. Everything about the night felt so intentional and polished, yet it still had that warm, enchanting energy that made it feel like a real escape. It was easily one of those standout nights where the atmosphere and the drinks come together to create something truly special.

It really is a bar with a bunch of memorabilia that they tell you about. The back story isn't interesting and 90% of the time you're left to just look at the various items they've collected or made from Disney and other movies. The food was ok, nothing to write home about. There was also no table or place to eat the food which posed a challenge. I wouldn't spend the money on this experience unless you're a huge movie buff.

We went recently for the Aftershock 2026 promotion night. First 100 drinks were on them, and they had a raffle for a pair of tickets! There was a long line when we pulled up, but luckily, my friend was able to snag a reservation right at the start of the promo. (Pro tip: always MAKE RESERVATIONS!) I know it's just a bar, but they are so busy most nights, you will be grateful you got in right away and get to sit down at a table. They also have a patio for more seating. The bar itself is small and is right at the front, so it's crowded right as you walk in. The host stand is to the right. Service was very welcoming and polite albeit slow, just for the fact that it was a very busy night. The mai tai and pina colada were delicious, fruity, and strong. We ordered Spam fried rice (my favorite), chicken potstickers (OK), and the coconut shrimp (good and not too sweet). We shared that between 3 people and it was a good snack while we sipped on our tropical drinks, but we were still hungry when we left. It's a good portion for 1-2 people for a meal, and prices were average.

With each game costing one to two dollars I felt a little ripped off I couldn't even finish my game of three balls. The pool table me and my friend played on was quite frankly disgusting. Tons of stains on the table and felt peeling. The balls all chipped and scratched. Also there was some issue with something being stuck when the game was first setup with my friend putting it together but I wasn't paying attention. He had to flag down a worker to help resolve the issue. I get it, things are pricey these days, so a newer business has to find a deal when they can, but at least find a way to improve an already overly used item. I don't expect brand new pool tables, but at least tables that look like the business cares Not to mention the ground and walls were just dirty and gross. Seemed like nobody is really cleaning the place. All the tables tops seemed sticky (if you know you know). The velvet lounge just kinda seemed like a random thrown together area, but maybe on a slow Monday it didn't feel right with lack of people. The workers were great and gave great service, just sadly all the half run down amenities that is supposed to make this place great, makes it pretty lackluster. I guess come if you want the axe throwing?

The service and food quality have always been excellent. They have a huge menu, a friendly staff, and a relaxed atmosphere that feels a step above a typical taqueria or fast casual spot, with solid table service to match. It's about time I gave them the credit they deserve because their food is consistently great. Historically, I've loved their enchilada plate, especially the mole enchilada. It's one of my favorites. Today, with the sun out, I was in more of a mariscos mood, so I ordered the shrimp ceviche and the fried tilapia plate. The ceviche is very bright and fresh, with mango mixed in, which adds a really nice layer of flavor to the traditional combination. It comes with freshly fried tostadas that are crisp and flavorful. I'm not personally a fan of the white crackers on the side, but they also bring complimentary chips and salsa, so once the tostadas run out you can use the tortilla chips instead, which works just fine. The tilapia was excellent. It's hard to go wrong with a well fried tilapia, and they do it right. The guacamole and pico on the side are great for building tacos, and the beans and rice are both perfect. You really can't go wrong coming here, especially with the variety they offer. Sitting outside on the patio is nice, though this particular location can feel a bit sketchy at times since a few odd characters often cut through the parking. It's mostly fine, but if you're looking for a more relaxed patio vibe, the other location might be a better option. That said, this spot also has a comfortable indoor dining area.
