The ONLY reason that they're getting two stars is because our Waitress was the sweetest most amazing person we've encountered. First of all, they water down drinks and shots. I ordered a Margarita with a shot of tequila and you couldn't taste ANY alcohol in the drink. You know that famous little bite you get from taking a shot of tequila? Yeah you won't get that here because most of it is water. Super disappointing. Secondly the food is just meh. Not worth the price. I ordered a Salad and it had way too much vinaigrette. Very good service. Did the outdoor dining. Went with my family and got some barbacoa tacos, good. The appetizer with quesadilla, nachos, wings, and taquitos is good. We just came back from El Torito. We love eating here. The food and service is always good. Today was not the case. Our waitress named Katie was horrible and rude. While waiting to be seated we were looking at the Valentines Day special in the lobby. We were seated and the waitress took around 15 minutes to come say hello and take our drink order. She came back with our drinks (sodas) and I said we are ready to order. She said I will come right back. Waited another 10minutes. She was taking care of 4 other tables. She finally came back and asked if we were ready and I said we have been ready. She apologized and said "we had to wait because there are other people ahead of us". Right there started off wrong already. So I said we wanted the Vday special that's out front. She said she needed to get those menus and that front desk should have given us those menus. I said we don't need them we already looked at them and know what we want. She said no, she needed to bring us the menu. Fine. She left and another 10 minutes went by and she finally came back with the famous menu. I just said ok I'm ready. She took our order finally. That was the last time we saw her until it was time to pay. No refills no nothing. The food came out. Correct and delicious. No problem with the food. We kindly asked the guy who brought our order for a box. He brought us a box promptly. All this time we kept seeing the waitress taking care of the other tables around us and never acknowledged us or check if we needed anything. She only showed up to give us the bill. She asked if we needed any boxes and I said no we already got one and she litterly scolded me and said next time If I needed anything I needed to ask her only. I went off and said well I'm paying for a service that you are not giving us. She then said well I will wait for your payment so you don't have to wait on me. I do have other customers to attend who were here before you. She then went on to call me a princess. I should have spoken to a manager but didn't. I wish I did. Hopefully a manager is reading my review. We will go back because we love the food but I will wait for a different server if they give us Katie again. She's terrible. The Tamale taste bland and the chicken inside was dried out and the masa was like thick grits. The Beef taco was gross oily and deep fried YUCK. However, most of the food taste seasoned. Been coming here for years. It has it's good and bad just like any other restaurant out there. My visit today I ordered a spinach enchilada plate. It came with green sauce, bean soup, rice, and that little spit full of corn bread you get. The enchiladas were actually pretty good. Our food today was very fresh and hot. Customer service was ok nothing impressive. My reason for 3 stars is the wait is always long. The restaurant can be dead and you sit there wondering if they killed the cow yet. Also parents out there, every Wednesday kids meals are only $1. I was charged full price for my daughters meal until I said something and the girl said that they will change it to $1 because I brought it up to her attention. I will NEVER come back here again!!! I made a reservation for a specific time. When we arrived, we were told that we needed to wait until another party left. We waited 30 minutes before finally getting a manager. Tony "the manager", who clearly has no clue how to manage, had the nerve to say that reservations are a first come first serve basis and that they are just so we don't have to wait to be on a wait list. I don't like posting negative reviews but perhaps they will second guess their actions. Very nice bartender and good food but management allows all the lights to be placed on hi-beams 40 minutes before closing, ruining a delightful meal and drink. I understand bars turning up the lights 10-15 minutes before closing but really more than 30! Does the corporate office know about this policy? read more

Please note: This rating is based on service, not the food. Recently moved to Palmdale and wanted to enjoy a nice Saturday lunch, so we decided to try this location. The resturants was busy, which can be expected for the weekend, but the service was poor. We had 2 different waitresses taking our order and serving us, which caused confusion. Items were missing from the order, which were brought to the table half way through the meal. We never got any refills on any of our drinks or checked on after we received our meals. We had to wave the waitress down at least 3 times to request service. The only positive aspect of this resturant was the food was excellent. Luke Warm, but very flavorful. First of all, I watched the driver on GPS take every back road imaginable between the restaurant and my home, so needless to say...it arrived on the cool side of cooked. Their hostess this morning for Father's Day was very RUDE. We had reservations and she refused to seat us until half of our party was there. Within a few minutes they showed up and she then said well the table is not ready yet. What is the point of reservations if your table isn't ready when you get there!? We could have been seated and ordering drinks while our guests parked and came in. Hostess had an attitude. She shouldn't be f.o.h. At all since she has no customer service skills. Waiter was way more accommodating at least. One of the buffet servers dropped and broke a plate in front of me when serving me and appeared annoyed and angry.
