Great mom & pop Mexican food spot close to Randolph AFB. Great prices and even if there is a line they get your food quick.

Two things that you rarely see anymore are found in this place: quality food, and an affordable price. I had an AMAZING pork chop lunch plate for under $10. The refried beans were great, the rice was soft and flavorful, and the porchops were thin but well seasoned. I had this with a nice coffee. The carne asada plate was amazing as well, and the green sauce made it a spicy piece of heaven. I recommend you give this place a try.

Went there with son and his girlfriend right before Christmas. I got my usual (the Lupito Plate). The kids got some breakfast tacos. Nice portion, all delicious, great service, and at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend

Thisnn be place is great. I've been going to this place for years. Even when I have my own family I brought them here and they love it. The food is always great it has never failed me and my family. It's a local family owned texmex restaurant and we count imus to come even when we live a little further away. The service is great the staff are amazing and friendly. The ambiance is great to sit and enjoy your meal.

Our eggs tacos were watery and the place was very dirty even though the customer service was good they could of gone to the back and ate their food instead of the front register while I was paying Our first time and our last time going there !

Solid Mexican food spot in northeast San Antonoio. Service is prompt and price is right. Not my go to but would recommend if in the area.

Well well, this time family was the culprit of a bad recommendation. "I like it, but you might…read morenot"...yep. Google had it at 4.3 and yelp had it at 4.1. High hopes right?!? NOPE. Where do we begin...ok first, it's got a good vibe. It's the stereotypical "Mex" theme, yet strangely it works. Staff was appropriately courteous and attentive. I'm trying to get the few positives out of the way. I rarely eat breakfast, so this was a change of pace. Bad idea. First, the breakfast menu is super limited, I mean most Mexican restaurants are, but this was bare bones as can be. Regardless, we gave it a shot. The coffee was very watered down. Almost like Folgers crystals watered down. Go figure, most places have good to great coffee. We ordered the chilaquiles, omelet plate, and one Chicharron taco and one barbacoa taco. Can someone please explain to me why in San Antonio, the thrown together slop they served me, is considered chilaquiles in this town? I mean place after place...it's the same. This resembles NOTHING to its authentic counterpart. I knew better, still ordered it, and I laughed when the waitress put it front of me. Of Mexico how I miss real chilaquiles, that seem to be on every street corner. I say that must mean it's not that hard to make. Anyway, the potatoes on both the platters were fantastic...the potatoes overshadowed BOTH plates. Freaking potatoes!!!! They were not greasy, well seasoned and beautifully cooked. The beans were just your typical beans. The omelet made me miss dennys...I love corn tortillas, I will put my money on it, any day, that a properly homemade corn tortilla will outshine a flour one and it wouldn't be close. Well this place is not it. Masa(corn) needs to be seasoned and prepped. Not just mixed with water. I see this over and over again. Why not a one? The table sauces were great, the potatoes were awesome, the chicharron wasn't my fav texture but had excellent flavor, the barbacoa was not greasy. We also had a semi decent tres leches, but I can't give them credit for that. It bought elsewhere. Don't recommend this place, but eh reviews will fool everyone and they will come.

When we arrived we were seated quickly and the staff was very nice. It wasn't very crowded and therefore it was a bit quiet. The chips and salsa were amazing! They tasted really good and the corn tortillas were so much better than that other location. I have to admit that I am still on the hunt for amazing fajitas, however these are definitely better than my last ones and I look forward to returning and trying out other menu items. The only downfall was the blinds. Yeah, I get it and they are just blinds, however they were just so dirty and it distracted from the whole experience. Cleanliness is important.

I pulled up my trusty Yelp app and we decided to swing in and give this place a try. Our first impression was positive--the restaurant was clean, and while the menu is fairly small, it includes all the classic items you'd expect from a taco shop. We ordered a variety of tacos and didn't have to wait long at all, maybe around 10 minutes. The tacos were so good. I honestly don't think there was a single one we didn't enjoy. My husband and I both agreed everything was cooked perfectly and the flavors were spot on. This is definitely one of those places we'll be coming back to. There are quite a few taco spots in the area, but I highly recommend giving Los Tapatios a try if you're looking for authentic, freshly made food.

I ordered online for pickup, and my order was ready quickly. Everything was fresh, hot, and prepared just right when I picked it up. They also included plenty of hot sauces in the bag, which is always a bonus. I ordered a carne asada taco, an al pastor taco, and a quesabirria. The tacos were really good, with the al pastor being my favorite of the three. I didn't love the quesabirria, though. It was a little light on the meat and loaded with cheese. That said, it's probably more of a "me" issue since I'm not a huge fan of overly cheesy dishes. If my husband had been with me, he likely would have loved it because cheese is definitely his thing! Dead quiet when I walked in, but there were people eating quietly and it is very clean. I noticed they are operating on two portable/temporary air conditioners which seem to be permanent so it was slightly humid and not as cool as you'd expect.. but not bad. The owner/cashier/server was super nice and I was amazed how fast my order came out. I tried the Machacado taco (dried beef, eggs, tomatoes and jalapeño or maybe Serrano, not sure). It was served piping hot and the tortilla is heavenly. Like some other reviews said; the food quantity isn't huge but the prices are also very low. So it was just right for me. The flavor was just right and it was prepared perfectly. I'd come back and try other things but we need some La musica for atmosphere here. And watch out for the green sauce.. very spicy but also very good.
